Shmibli7
Anyone else have TV shows that you love that were made decades before you were born? I have quite a few. I love watching Miami Vice, Quantum Leap, and the X Files, all of which were made long before I existed. Anyone else like this?

CrypticQuery
The 1960s TV series Get Smart is one of my favorite shows of all time. It has all of the Cold War espionage-related humor that one could ask for and then some. If I recall correctly, the pilot episode was shot in black and white and all subsequent episodes were in color. The intro has been parodied countless times since it aired, so you may recognize it even if you're not familiar with the program.----Car 54, Where Are You? was another great 1960s comedy. Its intro is definitely catchy. The commercial for Mario Bros on the Atari 2600/5200 parodied Car 54's intro as well. Here's a bit of trivia that I heard from a reliable source. If you're familiar with New York City at the time that Car 54 was filmed, you'd know that the NYPD's cars were painted green, black, and white. The Plymouth Savoys used in the filming of Car 54 were painted bright red, however. There was a reason for this beyond the brighter color being a bit more vibrant on black and white cameras. An earlier production, The Naked City, used properly colored police cars. During an afterparty in Yonkers, NY (a city just north of The Bronx), however, the film's crew brought a green/black/white car used in the filming with them. Things presumably became drunken and rowdy and Yonkers PD were called to the scene, only to be baffled as to why an NYPD car was located in the area. A few calls back and forth and some investigating led them to their conclusion, but the NYPD's administration were hesitant to have television or movie productions use cars similar to the real ones for a little while afterward. Car 54, as a result, used red painted cars to avoid conflict.
Owner/Technical Admin Sideways Posted August 8, 2015 Owner/Technical Admin Share Posted August 8, 2015 It might not be decades before I was born, but I missed out on Knight Rider by a few years.
Fookes
I was born in 2002, so I missed out on pretty much everything! I wish I was born in the '80s or '90s so I could experience the awesome cartoons for kids back then! Nowadays they only have cliche' sitcoms such as Ant Farm. I really am jealous of y'all who got to grow up with those 'Saturday Morning' cartoons.
StarFoxfan-FUR_ever
I'm thinking just about all the TV sitcoms between the 60's and 80's. Technically speaking I "missed" some stuff from the very early 90's like Full House. Good thing there are "classic show" channels for when the nonsense being shown today becomes unbearable.
