Do you think Fox McCloud (Or any of the other SF characters) is a good role model?

This question just randomly popped into my head... Do you think Fox (or any of the other SF characters) is a good role model? Why or why not?

Yes and no. While all of the characters on the StarFox team have things that are good about them, they're all guns-for-hire. StarFox is ultimately a venge tale and, while I love Fox, he's not someone a regular person should want to be.

Really depends how you look at it.

Fox- Strong willed and leads well but has moments he show weaknesses too many times. 

Peppy- Well knowledgeable and a good father figure, but times where he keeps spamming how to fight a boss and bringing up your dead father may become a problem.

Falco- No, he's racist against Monkeys.

Slippy- Slippy is a smart engineer who knows the landmaster and bluemarine well, but for a pilot he's just awful, they should just give him a landmaster for all planet missions instead.

 

Overall they have their positives and negatives which I think the series thrives on. It shows no one is completely invincible or strong willed but rather everyone does have a weakness so you mostly can't go wrong with any of them as a role model, it's just more of there isn't enough to go off of.

Star Fox characters in general are so paper-thin that if you look up to them as role models you are probably actually looking up to your own headcanon

Fox mostly doesn't have any personality and the couple times he does show personality or takes any proactive action in the plot it involves him being disinterested in saving an exploding planet until he's paid to fix it and then dumping his girlfriend for a stupid reason and spending all his time wondering why she's mad at him.

The short answer is hell no
