Starfox Adventures MEGA RANT (DISCUSSION THREAD)

bringing a psychic girl into this sci fi world of starfox just makes it look even more of a star wars themed series.

so i liked starfox's start, they've been out of a job for 8 years and in a bare bones mothership and having to feed the only working arwing fuel cells to get places, they're so poor one of em left for adventure who would then return later on conveniently to help with a promising new villain who's not a monkey general scales, the addition of krystal MIGHT have worked. the idea of her replacing peppy doesnt bother me too much but the fact that peppy's pretty darn old is saddening in and of itself.

the dinosaurs, i really couldn't care for. sure it tried to be cute at times but, eh. kyte's an adorable name for krystal's pet pterodactyl. in fact dragon rock had some fun ideas with its on rail first person views, being able to ride a cloudrunner and earthwalker, the boss though, i felt like i was on a steam punk mustafar XD cool design but, too bad it overstayed its welcome

Whoa, hey, activity! Sorry there hasn't been an update since the holidays, (holidays being what they are and all), but I'll try and update... eventually. Life's been hell on me, such as it is.

 

And yes, I planned to address that cutscene posted when I got to it in-game: its literally the first time Krystal is mentioned by NAME at all, and not only that but Fox just magically knows Krystal's name as well which is hilarious. You can -feel- the rushed quality of this fucking game condensed into that 1 minute segment.

 

Also, stop calling SFAd a "Zelda like" game. Zelda games are only semi-linear, with plenty of side activities and shit to explore. Adventures is a railroad. More on that when I cover Dark Ice mines, though.
