Project Krazoa God - How It Works

If you want to help, please do the following:

I want to help complete tasks!

1. Go to the Project Krazoa God Tracker. Look at the tasks in the tracker. The tasks are divided into categories that look like forum boards. The tasks look like forum threads, but have a status attached to them.

Here are the statuses:

New = This task is pending triage. A decision on the task has yet to be made.

Pending = The task has been approved, but does not have anyone assigned to it yet.

Assigned = This task has been assigned for someone to work on.

Rejected = This task has been rejected. See the task's comments for reasoning.

In Progress = This task is currently being worked on.

Complete = All work for this task is complete.

On-Hold = Work on this task is currently on-hold until a later time.

Abandoned = The original assigned user cannot work on this task anymore.

Unknown = The user is unavailable to give status updates. The task is possible abandoned.

2a. Find a task that you want to do that has a status of Pending or Abandoned.

2b. Post in this thread that you want a random assignment. Skip to 4.

3. Post a comment to the task requesting that task.

4. I or a site editor will assign you to the task and change the status to "Assigned."

5. When you are ready to start work, change the task status to "In Progress" ONLY CHANGE THE STATUS ON YOUR TASKS!

6. Post progress updates to the task as comments.

7a. If you cannot work on the task anymore or you do not have the access to finish it, let me or a site editor know and change the status to "Abandoned."

7b. If you finish the task, change the status to "Complete."

7c. If you need to pause work on that task, change the status to "On Hold"

I want to suggest a new task!

Create a new task in the appropriate category. It will be reviewed. If the task is accepted immediately, it will be changed to a "Pending" status unless you wish to immediately claim it upon approval. If the task is something that should be done later, it will be marked "On Hold." If the task is not considered worth doing, it will be marked "Rejected."

If your idea is too general for a task, please post it on this board.

I want to suggest a change to a task!

Make the suggestion as a comment to that task.  It will be considered by me or a site editor and by the person doing the task.

DO NOT  PLAGIARIZE!

It is not cool to rip-off other sites. If you help with an article, please do not just copy what you find on Wikipedia or Arwingpedia. State any facts in your own words and cite the original, official, source for your facts.

And to quote from the previous thread>

I'm sure everyone here has some really cool content they want to add to this, and given that this is a team effort, the end result will be really cool. But for the moment lets focus on the main grind stuff first. Like:

Clearwater:

Guides you say? Sure, I might be able to whip up something on my tablet in my free time. I can also trawl around on French gaming websites, see if they have any new info on SFZ, and if they do, I can let you know.

EDIT: So. what I've been thinking is to start off with the original SF on SNES,  play back through it whenever I'm home and have spare time, then move onto SF64, and if I can get another DS, SF: Command. I'm also thinking that we should promote SF: Event Horizon if The Undying Nephalim allows us. Sound like a plan?

Guides and anything related to SFZ, yes. Community stuff save for later.

And DZ beat me to it. Copypasta is for the weak and dying.

Also task pls. :3

I posted a comment in the Fox McCloud rewrite section saying that I'll take it if no one else wants it. Also, while it may not be on the task list right now, I'll begin writing a guide for SF SNES and let you guys know how it's coming along.

Good point about SFZ. Since you requested a task, I'll go ahead and delegate the SFZ article to you.

I think you made an error; I said that I'll do a SF SNES guide. (Or were you talking to Dr. Orange? If so, I didn't say anything then)

That was for Orange.

You have two tasks, the guide and the Fox McCloud rewrite. The guide is a general task.

Oh, sorry. I just went and made a task request for a SF SNES guide. I can be on for an hour tonight, but since I'm using my tablet, I can't go into the chatroom.

Orange, if you want more than one task either let me know or pick one.

Roger that, sir!

I'll finish SFZ first then move on. Plenty of work to go around.

I know there are a lot more articles that need creating, but I will hold-off on creating more article tasks until some of the current ones are done.

Can multiple people work on tasks as to lighten the load?

Link to comment

Yes. Though with articles it is probably best that one person work on each article at a time.

I will gladly work on an article. Any is fine with me, though I would prefer doing a character article. Also, what layout should the article be? An example would be nice. :P

I'm hoping to have at least a basic version of an article page done today.

Is there a way to possibly add a gallary to the individual articles for photos and videos? Adding pictures by themselves really lengthen the page.

Here is a basic idea of what an article looks like: http://www.starfox-online.net/characters/star-fox/slippy.html/

As far as images, I'm looking into that. The example page is hand-coded for the moment, but I do want to automate things. I especially want to pull images out of the gallery rather than having to manually link them up.

Got the code to create the fact box?

I want to try to find a way to create the fact boxes without code, but for now:

            <hr class="ipsHr">
			<!-- Article Text-->
<p><strong>Slippy Toad</strong> is the squeaky-voiced mechanic and inventor for the Star Fox team as well as one of its pilots. He's a close friend of Fox and the son of the legendary Cornerian aerospace engineer Beltino Toad. The apple didn't fall far from the tree as Slippy also has been blessed with genius and has racked-up his own list of engineering accomplishments ranging from electronic real-time translation devices to the Blue Marine attack sub.</p>
<p>Ever the tinkerer, Slippy has equipped his Arwing with extra sensory equipment that even his teammates do not have. This makes him a valuable asset in battle as he is able to analyze the power of enemy shields.</p>
<p>His genius does not come without faults, however. His piloting skills are mediocre and he has regular lapses of common sense. He is constantly getting himself into trouble, requiring the aid of one of his teammates.</p>
          <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Appearance</strong></span></p>
<p>Slippy's appearance is that of a green frog. Short and stout, it is hard to see Slippy as a threat. What he lacks in physical fitness, though, he makes up for in mental abilities.</p>
<p>Slippy's original design placed him in a blue jumpsuit with a white jacket. He continued to wear this outfit in Star Fox 64, switching to a brown shirt and blue jeans in Star Fox Adventures. He would switch to a yellow jumpsuit in Star Fox Assault before switching back to his original attire in Star Fox Command.</p>
          <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">Personality</span></strong></p>
<p>Slippy is confident and always seems to be in a good mood. In fact, confident is an understatement. He is vastly overconfident in his abilities and this often gets him in trouble as it causes him to rush at enemies without thought of the consequences. Despite his confidence, he is not without fear as he got visibly and audibly shaken at the prospect of invading the Sargasso hideout. He also can be very emotional in some situations, such as when Peppy crashed the Great Fox into the Aparoid shield.</p>
          <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Relationships</strong></span></p>
<p>Slippy is a strong friend of Fox's, and perhaps his most loyal friend as he stuck with the team the longest when it dissolved prior to Star Fox Command. Also during that time he met a female frog, Amanda. They fell in love and by the time of Star Fox Command were engaged. In one ending, they wed and have many, many children.</p>
<p>Falco seems to mainly find him an annoyance when flying, commenting about Slippy's tendency to get into trouble. He is also the butt of jokes by the other members of the team, such as Peppy jokingly saying he's not a screw-up after the successful performance of the Blue Marine.</p>

Work on the StarFox SNES guide is slowly getting there. I've had to go through a few versions and formats of what my guide'll look like, but I think I've got it nailed now. As for the Fox McCloud article, I'm still gathering information.
