Things you want that could realistically be in the game.

What things do you want in Zero that could still be included at this point of development?

- Blue-Marine

- Star Wolf mode

- More character interaction.  I know it's another "Andross is invading Lylat again" plot but still.

how about complex mission objectives in a StarFox game for once? Unlike literally every mission in every game in the series ever is shoot things that flash red. I don't care how you gift wrap it to seem like you aren't. People apparently are stupid enough not to see it in 64 and find the ignorance to criticize Assault for it...

In all seriousness I never said baby-feed mission objectives prevent the games from being fun, which just about all of them were but...when you think about it too much it takes away from the game, and it isn't impossible to make the StarFox games more of a strategic thing, StarFox 2 did it well, even though I still consider it like the others, because even then the objectives were still super simple, it's just that the things you did actually make a slight difference in the outcome, where it is more efficient to attack SPECIFIC targets rather than fly around and shoot everything that moves, but it was the tip of the ice burg.

I guess Command attempted it too but....it was just absolutely horrible, the game was literally made in a matter of months (Not counting the game it was originally, before being shoehorned into a StarFox game.)

that was only good for jumping out of one vehicle, running over and jumping into another....well to be honest I still had a lot of fun with the machine gun and mowing enemies down, and it was also fun to explore the beautiful, rich environments.

WHICH BRINGS ME TO ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH ZERO

the Environments in StarFox Zero are so empty, 64, Assault, and even Command were all more alive than Zero is so far, it was clearly unfinished. the environments we've seen are so literally flat and empty it might as well be StarFox SNES

I - Star Wolf Mode (Like a mirror mode explaining star wolf's backstory)

II - Option to Upgrade Equipment After Every Mission (Ex. Upgrade scouter to X-Ray through walls to find hidden paths & hidden items / Upgrade Arwing to carry bombs, missiles, etc.)

III - 4 V 4 online matches (Basically Star Fox vs Star Wolf but scoring is based on playing objective rather then to kill each other similar to Splatoon / Rank up to unlock different ship classes)

IV - Command Teammates (Drop items, distract enemies, group up, spread out / Similar to how Star Wars Rouge Squadron did it)

V - Lots of Easter Eggs!

Guys... they said realistically orz

(Some of these are cool ideas I'd love to see in a Star Fox game but I don't think there's a chance of most of them showing up in Zero)

As for cool stuff I want to show up in Zero that might have a chance, I agree with the "more character interactions" things (the interactions seem pretty good so far and they did specifically say they were polishing the cutscenes) as well as maybe seeing some other characters? We know Katt's around, but Bill confirmed and maybe Lucy, heck even pop Krystal/Dash/Amanda/old-canon character of choice in there for a level if they're going to be reworked to... work.

Also having us explore parts of the planets we haven't necessarily seen before, or with methods of transport we haven't used. The Gyrocopter in a massive mining base on Macbeth, or the Walker in the Venom ruins? Even making the Landmaster work on Aquas somehow (island chains? a big bridge?). Or if the Blue Marine DOES come back plop it into Zoness and show us the horrorterrors (imagine the dual-screen potential with Zoness - you can only see through cloudy water on your Gamepad, watch out there's a giant mecha anglerfish coming right for your ass)

And some more weird Lylat fauna as enemies/bosses/set dressing would be neat!

you know...since it IS a reboot of the whole canon, I would have liked to see Miyu and Fey along with other new characters for this game, since Miyu and Fey were in StarFox 2, but they will probably see the light of day again.

Also, nobody appreciates the beautiful environment and atmospheric music that Aquas had for the time, even in their own game nostalgia bigots are effected like with kryptonite whenever something isn't flying on a rail shooting things with an Arwing. I'd totally back the return of the Blue Marine for a new game.

Perhaps also it can transform into a boat or a hovercraft that skids along the water surface on Aquas, and they could make it noticeably different in handling on Zoness, to express that the water is tainted.

That's... something I really want now. Oh man.

Leave it to Lefty to take what was almost a reasonable post into crazy land by once again calling people bigots for liking a game he doesn't.

Completely unrealistic but I hope you can eject off your arwing, grab unto another ship mid-air, kick the enemy pilot out, and take control over it.

It isn't. It's been expressly stated that it's a re-imagining of 64. That means by definition that it isn't rebooting the whole series, just updating and overwriting 64. That then means that the other canon games, Adventures and Assault, are still canon, and you can think of Zero as a prequel to Adventures. I know people are going to attack me for saying so but Nintendo have been very clear and have gone as far as to say that it's not a reboot, so I've been trying to clear up confusion so many people seem to have.

Anyway, I know it's a small thing, but I'd like Wolf to have his Assault/Brawl type voice, instead of his 64/3D voice.

Dude, you realize a "reimagining" is essentially just a soft reboot, right? "Reboot" is a dirty word that implies eradication, but a "reimagining" implies the continued existence of thing and conveniently paves the way for them to "reimagine" the rest of the series as well. Use whatever word you like for it but I think it's pretty clear that the point of Zero, to the point that it's even present thematically in the title, is that it's a fresh start.

Agreed on Wolf's voice though. I like his 64 voice and style well enough but there's something so likeable about the gruff space cowboy voice.

They may very well re-imagine other games. I'd love to see a re-imagined Adventures or Assault. But until Nintendo says that it is a reboot, I won't see it as such.

They're never going to use the word "reboot" itself because it has negative connotations that "reimagining" doesn't have, despite being functionally identical concepts. If it quacks like a duck, etc.

This isn't really a wish for Zero, but perhaps some time down the line I hope that some of the voice actors from Assault can be carried over.  Slippy, Falco, and Wolf's voices were quite good in Assault IMO.

For Zero, I hope that the campaign is lengthier than its predecessors, or perhaps of similar length with better pacing.
