DZComposer
LylatBlue is going to be the new theme for SF-O on IPB 4.1. I was originally going to just port SFOIPS4 to 4.1, but since that theme was based off of a previous theme that was based off of a previous theme that was based off of a previous theme, I decided that some real change was in order. There are still some similarities between LylatBlue and SFOIPS4. For instance, the responsive logos and backgrounds are the same, though I will be making a new logo banner for the desktop view later. Partially inspired by Star Fox Zero, the new theme will center around dark blues with grays to dilute the blue here and there. It's probably not the exact final colors, but I'm working on getting the CSS in place for these colors now, changes can be made later. If there is enough demand, maybe, just maybe, I will make a light version of LylatBlue, but that wouldn't be for a while. The forums should currently be most usable on LylatBlue, but I have not gotten to the other sections of the site yet, so things are likely broken there. If you wish to try it out, select it from the Theme menu at the bottom of any page. Also, I am looking for feedback. Any suggestions will be considered. I'm especially looking for ideas on breaking up the blue a little bit on the forum index and thread view pages.
That Ain't Falco
LylatBlue looks really nice. However, it does make the white bit on the left edge of the rank badges look less than appealing.
DZComposer
Yeah, it's a bit TOO blue. Expect some changes in the next couple of days.
That Ain't Falco
On the bright side, the background is gorgeous. The upper bar containing the logos and graphics also looks excellent.
CrypticQuery
I'm surprised at how much I like this theme. Just as you said, the blue needs to be toned down just a little bit, but it contrasts well with the background. The only thing that I've noticed so far is that when someone likes a post the background that the "___ liked this" text is on is white, and the text is also white, making it difficult to read. The current banner image is also good, but if the Fox up there can be replaced with the more recent, Shiba-Inu esque version, that would be great. Dr. Orange
A really nice rich blue. But If I can be a bit of an artfag here, grey could be a little lighter like ████ or ████ just of better contrast balancing. Also will the like buttons still have that white glow around it? Flare
I'm really liking the new theme, having blue instead of black is a nice change of pace. Despite the fact it's a bit TOO dark. The only thing I'd have to say about it is the banner with Fox and the Arwings' makes my site stretch. I don't know if that's a Firefox only problem, and I can't remember if it was there in the black version. I just know it bugs me, so I thought I'd mention it. http://i.imgur.com/NMnjs9u.jpg If it's a preexisting problem or explained somewhere else feel free to ignore me. unoservix
i'm having [url=http://i.imgur.com/1RXVEwK.jpg]the same stretched out banner thing, on my 1366 x 768 laptop screen
CrypticQuery
I'm going to venture a guess and say that it's probably a screen resolution conflict. (For the record, I am using the newest version of Firefox and have encountered no such problem, Flare. I do have a 1920x1080 monitor though.) That Ain't Falco
Noticing an issue with the new theme. Community reputation and PM composition boxes are rather difficult to manage, as the text is white, and so are the actual boxes. (Sorry for my overly technical speech, it was the first thing that came to mind)
That Ain't Falco
Most PM related things are still white. Mixed with the white text, and reading them gets... interesting,
DZComposer
The theme is not finished. There are lots of places where there is white text on a white background. Please continue to use the default theme for normal browsing.
Owner/Technical Admin Sideways Posted November 16, 2015 Owner/Technical Admin Share Posted November 16, 2015 So far, I dig the new theme.
DZComposer
OK, I think I have it so everything is usable now so I am going to make it the site default. The theme is still not finished, however, as there are some slight layout changes I want to make and some color changes are going to require changing the page code rather than just CSS. There are also a few little things here and there that need changes. Also, if you have any feedback/suggestions for the theme, please let me know.
Ori
I don't think there's anything I feel like NEEDS urgent change but a minor suggestion is the position of the post rank image. I feel it'd be better below the profile picture if it makes any sense.
The VGM Lover
Under the profile settings, the Birth Date settings are still white, and so is the Gender settings. Other than that, I couldn't find anymore problems with the theme. Great work! I like it!
