Korr inadvertently laughed loudly at the story which his classmate was telling. On MacBeth, nobody would ever talk in such a way that he seemed as so flamboyant. The fact that her way of talking seemed so normal to her and her friends made her story so much funnier for him. Sholt slowly turned to look at him, wide-eyed and with a mortified look on his face which he his from everyone but his brother. Korr was also embarrassed. He stopped laughing as quickly as he started, and returned to his apple.

"It's okay, sweetheart!" Amelia yelled in Korr's direction. "You can laugh, honey! We all know it's hilarious, so don't feel bad!"

Amber facepalmed. "Girl, you don't hafta put the guy on blast!"

"I know... But, you know, I am serving up that morning cup of Earl Grey, just giving the boys and girls their life and soul wherever I go. So, girl, if anyone want's the piping hot cup of tea--with milk and two cubes of sugar--then I invite them to sip slow!"

Roy was fast asleep in Mr. K.'s class, even after the bell rang. He lazily brought up his head as an Ethiopian wolf by the name of Elias stood by his desk.

"Uhh... Roy..." said Elias, shaking Roy's shoulder. He looked left and right, and noticed he had to go to his next class, his homeroom, quickly. That homeroom was Cornerian (English).

"Oh, s--t!" yelled Roy as he darted out of the room.

"Hey, potty mouth!" advised Mr. K. as Roy ran out. Suddenly, though, Roy returned to the room, remembering he forgot both his bag and his guitar case. He grabbed them and made a mad dash for the other side of the school.

Korr slumped forward and put his hand against his face while he softly chuckled at what he had done.

"Aye, it's funny." He replied. He looked across the room at Amelia, and since there wasn't many people in the room, nor was there a teacher, he had no problem continuing to speak across the room. "What are your names, guys?" He asked. "I'm Korr, and this is my brother, Sholt." He said as he motioned to the silver fox beside him, who looked over to the trio and politely smiled.

Amelia was about to open her mouth to speak when Mrs. Helenbach entered the room following her bathroom break and an errand run. "Ms. Cimmaron?" The middle aged warthog woman said as she placed a stack of Manila folders on her desk.

"Yes?" Amelia said sweetly.

"Could you tone it down a little? I could hear you all the way down the hallway."

"Yes, Mrs. Helenbach!" Amelia said with whipped cream and a cherry on top. Referring back to Korr and Sholt, she said "Don't be strangers. Come on over! The more the merrier."

Korr cheerfully moved across the room and took a seat among the trio, happy to see that it shouldn't be too difficult to make new friends on this planet. Sholt followed close behind him, and leaned back in his new seat. As Korr sat down, he threw the remains of his apple to the front of the classroom, where it landed smoothly in the bin. Mrs. Helenbach didn't see him throw it, but she did hear it land. She turned to see what the noise was, but couldn't figure it out, so returned to what she was doing.

"Aye, so what were you saying?" Korr asked.

"This is so stupid..." Ren said Tiredly, rummaging through his bag to make sure he had everything. " Why do I even have to study here, old man?" He said, indignantly glaring at his guardian's eyes through the rear view mirror.

The gruff polar bear in the drivers seat adjusted his glasses. " Your father wants you to broaden your horizons"

" But Rinae Gets to study in Idania?!"

" Your sister is different, She's learning a trade to go her own way, you've been resting comfortably within the confines of your own world long enough, Aesop wants at least one traveling child.. You should enjoy the sights.. builds character."

" This is.... -so-  Stupid... it's just a normal high school! There's no place to work on my arcane studies here! No chance to work on my swordplay! I'm gonna be so bored!"

Valentine Growled, with a push of a button the passenger door opened and the seat shot outward, dumping Renard, Sprawling outside of the side gate.

" No more complaints, We're late enough as is. Order your lunch and continue your day."

Renard sighed as the care left behind him, The fox hoisting hsi messenger bag over his shoulder and stepping into the courtyard

"Yasss, girl, so--" Amelia flipped her hair, "--I'm Amelia: The Queen, The Legendary Mother of the House of School Icons.

"Woman, be quiet," Amber chuckled. She loved her best friend to death, but she was too much sometimes. "But anyway," she said, turning to the pair of new faces, "I'm Amber, and this is Derek." She pointed over to the brawny chocolate lab next to her.

"...So," Derek began, "Where you guys from?"

"Ah, we're from MacBeth, hence the accents." Korr replied.(accents similar to Scottish)

Sholt threw his apple in the bin, too, which made Mrs. Helenbach more curious as to what the noise was, but she still couldn't figure it out. "We've only been on Corneria for a few months, so we've not really had much of a chance to explore, and catch our bearings, you know?" he added.

"You lot from near here?" Korr asked and glanced out the window to see a cleared forest and the school running track and football field. He looked forward to being able to use the track.

"I was actually born on Aquas while my dad was serving in the Corneria Defense Force," Amelia said. "Military child here." Then she turned to Derek, "Say, you once said you've lived in the Corneria City metropolitan area your whole life, right?"

"Yup," Derek said proudly. "Cornerian, born and raised."

"I'm also a natural-born Cornerian," Amber added.

"Nice." Sholt commented. "It's really hot here, since Corneria is so close to Lylat. When we first got off the cruiser we could barely stand it!" He chuckled.

Determined to quickly establish friends and become part of a group in this new school, Korr suggested, "Hey, we should all hang out sometime after school. You should show us what Cornerians do for fun."

Sholt considered that and had no objections. "We're up for that if you lot are."

At this time, in physical education class, which was nothing more than a group of bored high school students, Iosif and Diana were no longer talking, but instead kissing. Some of their other classmates found themselves glancing at this obvious profession of teen love. However, Salamon was totally oblivious to this, as he was now in a fetal position beside the wall, sleeping, his head lying on his backpack.

"Okay," started Wladyslaw, in a somewhat vain attempt to tutor his older brother. "Log six of forty two to the power of x plus three is..."

Bohdan simply stared at the problem he wrote out in his notebook, the numbers and letters neatly inscribed between the lines. Wladyslaw waited patiently for Bohdan to answer, but his eyes showed a glimmer of pity and despair. Finally, Bohdan breathed deeply and answered.

"I do not know."

Wladyslaw was deflated.

Roy arrived in Cornerian class, almost totally late. Luckily, his teacher, Ms. Forsythe, was merciful.

"You've just made it, Roy," said the almost apathetic terrier. She was sorting the latest tests on The Apes of Wrath, a novel the class was reading.

"Hey, Ms. F," said Roy. Forsythe was to awkward coming off his tongue for him to say, so he settled to referring to Ms. Forsythe with the first letter of her last name. Roy dropped his bag down next to his typical seat, plopped down, and put his head down.

"Sure, I wouldn't mind showing a couple of newcomers around," Amber said. "Amelia and I were actually going to The Cornerian Complex to job hunt and hang some time this week..." She turned to Amelia. "...Unless you had some other plans?" For whatever reason, Amelia wasn't really listening.

"Hey, uh, Sholt?" Amelia seemed to have an awkward time as she tried to spit out a burning question. "...Can I, uh... Can I squeeze your bicep?"

Derek and Amber, in unison, looked at Amelia as if she'd lost her mind. She was so weird sometimes.

As he leaned back in his chair, Sholt's eyes widened and his ears perked up at the unexpected request. Korr turned his head to look at him, also wide-eyed, smirking, but covering his grin from the other three as he waited for Sholt's response.

"...Uh, I... Y- yeah, I guess, if you want." Sholt stuttered. The took of his semi-tight jacket, showing his muscles under his short sleeved T-shirt. He tensed his arm for Amelia, as Korr sat back with a cheesy grin on his face.

(That awkward moment when you leave unexpectedly for a few days and realize everyone is doing fine without you.)

Upon hearing Amelia's request to squeeze Sholt's bicep, Vlady turned around completely in his seat, eager to see if this strange request would, in fact, be honored.

Cornerians are a strange breed. He thought as he chuckled at the sight before him.

But, then again, so are you. He reasoned.

~ (semi-  ripping of Arm...)

Sev and Jasper sat in their homeroom, the both of them doing nothing to further their academic careers.

Jasper sat playing with a Talbesh 82, a portable gaming device which was the last to be exported to Venom before the Lylat Wars. The device was a good ten years behind the technological curve but Jasper enjoyed it as he knew no other means of video entertainment.  He had a carrying case of cartridges for the platform which he was fortunate to find for a mere two credits at a thrift store near their neighborhood.

The game he was currently playing involved a Fortunan freedom fighter running and gunning down members of the VPLA.

Sev sat directly to Jasper's right, reading a comic book he had acquired from a vendor the day before. Sev was a bit of a collector and, ever since he had arrived on Corneria a few months before, he had amassed a small collection.

Renard became painfully aware of one truth when he looked at his watch That he had spent so much time arguing with valantine while getting ready for school, that he missed the First class

"Shit!" Ren cried as he vaulted over tables and stairs to get into the class, skidding to a halt in front of his assigned homeroom, panting.

" i'm... I'm so sorry, Ms. Helenbach,, I had... some issues... With... With my commute."  He rested his hands on his knees for a bit to catch his breath as well as bow in apology

"Mkay..." Mrs. Helenbach began. "...I'll let you slide this time around. Now go find a seat," she said as she pointed towards the desks, many of which were occupied by other students.

Meanwhile, Amelia was having a little too much fun as she invaded Sholt's personal space. She squeezed his bicep a few times, marveled by the firmness. "...It's so firm!" she cooed.

Amber looked on, her sly and humored facial expression affirming what she was thinking, while Derek looked on in mild jealousy.

Amelia squeezed a couple more times before she took her hand way and said, "Okay! I know I was all in your personal space, my bad, but I had to ask. Heh."

Renard sighed as he took a seat near the middle of the class, off to the side closest to the window, as to facilitate better daydreaming

Vlady laughed out loud as he watched Amelia Speer Korr's bicep multiple times.

"Muscle fetish?" He asked playfully.

"Ha, uh, it's not a problem at all." Sholt responded with a smile, before turning to look at the other student who had commented. While he found Amelia's request and actions unconventional, he was far from complaining.

Korr and Sholt looked at Amelia to see her response to the other student's question.

Amelia turned towards the student across the room and said coyly, "...I will not confirm nor deny that question."

"Girl..." Amber rolled her eyes playfully at Amelia. "...We all know the answer to that question anyway."

"So," Derek spoke to Korr and Sholt, "what does your fitness regiment consist of?"

"Ah, well, to be honest, we don't have a particular routine." Korr answered. "We just, y'know, test ourselves." He finished.

"Test our limits." Sholt clarified as he hung his jacket over his chair, the hot Cornerian temperatures getting to him. "We just do what we need to to stay in top shape. Yesterday, I personally done three sets of a hundred push-ups throughout the day. Same amount of squats; two hundred total pull-ups and sit-ups, and a fifteen mile run." He explained.

"Don't forget about the food!" Korr reminded.

"Oh yeah, a lot of carbohydrates before a workout, and a lot of protein afterwards... and, uh, on this planet, a lot of water." He added as he squinted his eyes looking out of the window, his dark coat absorbing the sun's heat. "Yesterday was pretty boring, to be honest." Sholt stated, to which Korr nodded in agreement. "I enjoy it when we go outside and keep fit. Free running, or swimming. That kind of thing, y'know?"

"So, uh, Derek, was it? Do you have a routine?" Korr asked with a genuinely friendly smile.

Vlady chuckled and then turned back around when the other students started talking about workout routines. He was all for health but he had no interest in unneeded body building. His kind were lanky, a characteristic he didn't mind.

He began writing in his notebook once more but was unable to focus on his writing. He wanted, more than anything, to initiate a friendship with the other students.

If you want it, Vlady... He told himself. ...Then stop acting like a recluse.

He sighed, closed his notebook, and walked to where the other students were conversing, sitting towards the edge of the group.

Amelia watched the new student come up  and sit near them. "Oh yasss!" She started vogueing. "Here it is, eat it up, it's here for the taking!"

"That's Amelianese for 'Welcome to the fold'," Amber said to the new face that came to join the group. "I'm Amber. What's your name?"

"Oh that's Vladimir, one of the new students," Amelia said. "We're in Mr. Kolacsai's class."

"Vlady, actually." He said. "And Amelia and I do have Mr. Kolacsai's class together. I'm a bit new here." He said. "And not very well adjusted. This planet is very strange... At least to a "bloc guy" such as myself."

"Bloc Guy" referred to his former life in the societist bloc. It was a title that was originally used by Cornerians to demean said citizens but Vlady embraced it. He was, of course, from that area, why should he hide it?

"But, hey, Little Titania is alright." He added.
