"That was one hell of a way to show it." Solomon said, chuckling.

"Anyway, Korr, I think that, after this job no one will be taking us seriously for quite some time."

Korr opened his mouth to refute the claim, but couldn't think of any way to argue with the statement. "Yeah... you could be right..." he agreed.

"I would like to know where we are headed." Solomon said to his newfound friend. "This is a strange misadventure, indeed."

"Maybe if all of you stopped f--king talking, I could've said something," said Sandor. "But no, you had to f--king chit chat like you're in some sort of g--damn book club! God...!" He sniffed, and jerked his head back and forth, cracking the joints in his neck.

Meanwhile, Iosif had discovered Teresa's vehicle, being followed by another car, an Infinity. He tried to remain inconspicuous, so he allowed another car to go in front of him. He observed Teresa's van intently.

"Alright then Sandor, tell us. Where are we going?" Korr asked.

Solomon initiated his trademark silence again. He had no intention of starting anything between himself and his impromptu employer.

Kosovo rolled his eyes. Kimber and his friends... What were their problems?

"We're being followed!" Teresa alarmed. Sandor looked behind him. She had noticed the same sedan following them for quite some time down the road, as multiple cars in between her and the sedan came and left, yet the sedan stayed there. The car between them and Iosif turned to the right at an intersection, and Sandor spotted the one eyed lizard tailing them. His eyes widened.

"Lose Captain Hook!" Sandor said. Teresa immediately veered left upon approaching an intersection.

"Damn!" cussed Iosif, frustrated that he was discovered. He pursued.

"We're being followed?!" Korr asked, surprised.

"Why would anyone be following us!?" Sholt asked as his ears perked up.

Both of them instinctively turned the power up on their personal shields and grabbed their rifles, ready to attack any assailants.

"Do you want us to deal with it?" Korr asked, taking his rifle off of safety.

Kosovo chambered a round in his pistol but kept the safety on. He wasn't going to shoot. Not until he was sure of himself, who the target was, and if Sandor wanted him to.

Kimber, still a bit drunk, reached into his empty robe, half expecting to find a weapon in it. When there was none to be found, he sighed in disappointment.

Solomon put his head down, in case the man trailing them was armed. He reached into his pocket and drew a small "Stinger" pistol, So named because it's job was to incapacitate it's victim by shooting rounds of concentrated electricity, as opposed to killing them. The small pistol was nearly unseen in his large hand, the trigger guard and the barrel being the only things visible. He hoped he wouldn't have to use it as they drove.

"Think I gotta clue?!" responded Sandor annoyed. "Teresa, go go go! And no shooting! That is the last thing I want today!"

Teresa floored it, causing the whole vehicle to shoot forward. Iosif, however, did not back down, and sped up in suit. Teresa began to growl in frustration. She twisted and turned throughout the city streets, narrowly avoiding several vehicles, and grabbing the attention of a CDF police cruiser, its two officers stepping out of a doughnut shop containing other patrons.

"Let's roll, Haight!" yelled the older officer. Pvt. Haight, a new guy on the job, dashed to the front passenger's seat. "No, Haight! Drive!!!" Now, Haight was floored. Him being given the honor to chase down a bad guy? Of course he would oblige his sergeant.

"Got it, Sgt. Wilkes!" replied Haight.

"Just call me Wilkes," he replied. The two switched positions, and Haight turned on the police cruiser, and pursued both Teresa and Iosif.

Just as Korr was about to open the van and start firing, he heard what Sandor said. "No shooting!? Damn!" He said as he flicked the safety on his rifle and put it away. He sat back down as the vehicle sped along the road. He heard sirens behind them.

"Police?" Kosovo thought aloud. This wasn't good at all. If they caught uo to them, who knows what they would uncover about any of them.

"You are exceeding the speed limit of this zone," said the Iosif's car's 'helpful' AI.

"Yes, yes, I know I'm exceeding the speed limit, you daffy bastard!" yelled Iosif annoyed, in hot pursuit of Sandor and Teresa.

"Points are being deducted from your license," said the AI. Meanwhile, Iosif was swerving like a maniac to avoid various traffic, while trying to keep up with the van.

"How the Hell can they be this fast?!"

"Damn!" Korben said as he and Amelia hopped into the latter's car to chase after Sandor and company. Amelia started her car, and away they went. "Go go go!" yelled Korben and Amelia, flustered, tried to keep up. Korben noticed that Teresa's van was swerving wildly, and saw a sedan following it in hot pursuit. "Who's that?" he said to himself as he reached for his seat belt.

Meanwhile, Haight and Wilkes were driving equally as madly, the sirens blaring and the lights flashing blue and red.

"These guys are crazy!" said Haight.

"I know," replied Wilkes. "And that's why we've gotta stop them."

Kosovo cursed loudly in Venomian as the van swerved once more. The character who was chasing them wasn't letting up and the chase became progressively faster as it continued.

It would be much faster... And safer... to kill this tailer. He thought to himself.

Meanwhile, Kimber was thrown against the window of the van. Finally coming out of his drunken state, his eyes jumped around wildly as he tried to piece together what was happening. For a few moments, he believed himself and the others to be back on Venom, during the civil war.

Wait... He thought. Sandor wasn't there. Neither was Solomon or otter-lady.... I believe I was shooting at someone like the other guys...

It was then he looked to see Iosif and the police behind them.

"Holy Dalat!" He cried. "What in the blazing fires of Tanmir is happening. At this, Kosovo rolled his eyes.

"Welcome back to real life, Kimber." The wolf said.

On the other side of Kosovo, Solomon stayed low.

"So many blasters." He said, "So many enemies."

Although the Saurian wasn't afraid, he had a healthy understanding of the odds. Sooner or later, Iosif would reach them. Then he would have to commit an act of violence. He cursed his predicament and looked over at Kosovo.

"Is he gaining?" He asked, not wanting to look out the window due to a fear of being fired upon.

"How should I know?" Kosovo screamed.

Amelia gassed it, causing the efficient but powerful turbo-charged 300 horsepower V6, coupled with the 250kw electric motor, to vault the vehicle up to a brisk 65 miles per hour in the 40 mph zone. Amelia weaved in and out of traffic with grace and ease, despite the vehicles relative size, thanks to the Buick's computer-controled AWD system and anti-skid programs. While keeping up with the two vehicles, Amelia had run at least two red lights. She has clearly lost her mind.

"This better be worth it!"

"Me too!" Korben replied, gripping his seat as he braced for any possible impact. He was hopeful that Amelia was as good a driver as her taste in fashion is. His breathing had become faster as he got more and more nervous. He felt his black tie tightening around his neck like a noose, so he loosened it. Reluctant to check his weapon to frighten Amelia, he simply looked at the pistol grip jutting out of his pants.

Teresa, frustrated with this endless chase, decided to veer a hard left into a shady alley. Crashing into trash cans and other refuse, she darted between the two buildings. "Woah!" cried Sandor.

"Damn!" yelled Iosif in frustration. He also veered left and followed them into the alley. The CDF patrol car, however, was not as agile.

"Watch it!" yelled Wilkes. Haight yelped as he tried to emulate the pursued, but crashed head on into a bus. Their car was totaled, and they suffered moderate injuries. Meanwhile, Teresa and Iosif sped down the alley. Sandor had enough.

"Stop the van!" he ordered. Teresa looked at him bemused, but heeded his command. The van stopped, and Iosif slammed his foot on the brakes, stopping short of hitting the group. Sandor and Teresa stepped out of their van, and Iosif stepped out of his sedan.

"Shit!!" Amelia shrieked as she stomped on the brake pedal, causing the Buick's anti-lock brakes to haul the vehicle to a halt just mere inches before the accident involving the police cruiser and the CCMTA bus. Amelia was able to peer down the alley to see the other two vehicles speeding away. Immediately, she threw the car into reverse and stepped on the gas pedal, backing up towards the curb on the other side of the street. Slamming on the brakes, she dropped the vehicle into gear and peeled off in the direction they came, towards an intersection. At full throttle, Amelia whipped the steering wheel to the left from lock to lock, swinging the two-and-a-half ton car through traffic. Amelia tensed at the blinding sounds of screeching tires from other cars, as well as a barrage of angry and terrified honks of the horn. Once she was clear and on her way down the road, she looked out the rear window to see cars stopped in the intersection from almost colliding with the Enclave. She breathed a sigh of relief, content that she hadn't killed herself or anyone else. "...Okay, if we can make it to Beaumaount Avenue, we can head them off."

"Ok, let's go," said Korben, panting from the adrenaline. He sat up in his seat.

Meanwhile, Sandor, Teresa, and Iosif cautiously approached each other. Iosif stepped on a shallow puddle of accumulated dirty water which leaked from a worn aluminium pipe feeding into a building.

"What are you doing, Iosif?" Sandor asked.

"Just having a pleasant morning drive around town," replied Iosif. Teresa scoffed. Iosif briefly glanced at her, then turned back to Sandor.

"What's with your crazy driving, man?" the one-eyed lizard questioned.

"Me, driving? Nah, that was T." Iosif then looked back at Teresa.

"You nearly killed me woman," said Iosif. Teresa simply smirked. "Can I come with you guys on... whatever you're doing?" Sandor raised his eyebrow.

"WHY?" he questioned.

"Why not?" Iosif said, shrugging his shoulders. Sandor mockingly imitated Iosif's shoulder shrug. He then gestured him to come along.

"Fine then!" said Sandor, walking back to the van. Teresa followed him. They both entered. Iosif nodded, and went back into his sedan.
