Twilight Princess HD is Awesome!

So I picked up The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, I was quite excited as I was a fan of the original so seeing it come back with sharper graphics seemed really cool. I got the one with the wolf link amiibo too, though I haven't tried out the extra dungeon it unlocks yet.

First let me say this, some reviewers are putting some fear into people saying it it limited to 30 FPS and drops constantly. This rumor is quite false. After playing through a whole temple the game runs very smoothly at 60 FPS with minor drops on very intense parts but nothing horrible. The game takes the original Gamecube/Wii version and sharpens it, and while the some people had questioned the looks it's actually quite good looking. They basically take the Wii graphics and give it much better detail, so its not the most visually fantastic game of the year but it definitely looks way better than the original. It controls pretty decently too but little hint, turn off those gyro controls.

The game also has some added features, amiibo features, the extra dungeon, gamepad functionality, and some other stuff. I will say it's a worthy pick up, especially if you're a fan of the Zelda series.

Did anyone else consider and/or pick up the game? Your thoughts?

If I had a WiiU I'd definitely grab it, Twilight Princess is a grossly underrated game and I love it. Midna. A. Best.

i've already put a few hours into and I got to say its a pretty good port. The change to hd isn't as big compared to Wind Waker's, but I still think its looks great. Probably one of my favorite things added was being able to use items like the bow in both 1st and 3rd person, though I can't remember if that was in the gamecube version as well.

My only problem with the game is how it utilizes the other Zelda amiibos. Zelda and Sheik will restore hearts while Link and Toon Link will regain arrows every in-game day. Same thing I think goes for Ganondorf. I just kinda wish they did something that seemed a little more special than just health restoration though I guess it could work if your playing on hero mode.

She ma waifu. I mean 4 real.

Yeah we got it, along with the Amiibo and soundtrack CD. It's beautiful. Much more colourful, sharper and generally clearer. The only thing that annoys me is that sometimes the lighting makes characters ugly as f as seen here for example:

But that's only sometimes. Most of the time it's just fine and as you would expect. Another thing is that it's sometimes a bit blocky due to it simply being an HD port, and the HD sort of brings out how rigid hair textures are at times but that's something you get used to and then don't notice.

But yeah all in all 10/10 m8 would recommend. Twilight Princess ftw.

Ganondorf is the opposite, if you put him on you take double damage (so in hero mode if you activate him you take quadruple damage)

Whenever my friends talk about Twilight Princess, it always ends in "fuck the Sand Temple."

I don't have a Wii U, just the Gamecube disc.
