Star Fox Themed DLC Coming to Monster Hunter Generations

For those of you who played Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on the Nintendo 3DS since the day it was released might know well that, for the next twelve months, the game continued to gain new content, keeping the experience interesting, and it was totally free! Much of the free DLC included collaboration (crossover) outfits from various other Capcom and Nintendo intellectual properties.

The follow-up title in the series, known in Japan as Monster Hunter X (Cross), and recently confirmed for western release later this year under the title Monster Hunter Generations, will be no different! The game has been available in Japan since November 2015, and the way they distribute the DLC content is different from the western releases. In any case, one of the new features in this title is the ability to play as a Palico. Earlier in January 2016, Capcom confirmed a Star Fox collaboration content will available for free to anyone who visits a 7-Eleven store for the next 35 days from launch date. This collaboration content includes a very cute Fox Palico outfit, fashioned after Fox McCloud's Star Fox 64 3D outfit, and is likely a reminder that Star Fox Zero is coming soon. When Monster Hunter Generations was announced for its western release, Nintendo confirmed there will be an early Fire Emblem collaboration content included. At this point, we do not know if the Star Fox collaboration content will come outside Japan, so let us cross our fingers and hope they confirm it for us as well!

Monster Hunter Generations is due to be released in North America and Europe later this week on July 15, 2016. However, today the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel released a brand new trailer confirming that the Star Fox theme DLC is indeed going to be available for the Western release! Unlike Japan, this free DLC will be permanently available for Western players directly from the Nintendo eShop! There is currently no exact information when the DLC will be available however, but now we are definitely assured it is coming!
