Nintendo is going Red again

So, all of Nintendo's social media is using a new logo now. Well, it's still the same logo as always, but with newold colors:

Nintendo being red again I think signals a couple of things. Firstly, I think it represents Nintendo recognizing that the Wii brand is dead. The gray of the Wii and the Blue of the Wii U are out. Secondly, and this is more a of a hope, I feel that it represents that Nintendo recognizes that its strength is in its pedigree of IP.

Though there is a question, what will the logo be if it can't be in a red box? Will just the inside of the racetrack be red like this:

In that case, what if on a white BG? This?

I thought the white BG hypothetical looks like a pill. Have a Dr. Mario version:

To be fair, NCL hasn't changed any of their logos yet, only NoA has.

Or maybe Nintendo is just following the new movement to minimalism and going old school.

To be honest I like it this way a lot better than the Wii logo.

This logo certainly pops as compared to the monochromatic Wii one.  I like it.

This is pretty exciting, I always preferred the red, and it'll definitely differentiate them. As some other users have pointed out, though, this is only for NoA as of right now. 

I'm fucking excited if this means all the NX games will have red boxes, though.

The only one that's real is the top one. I made the others. The first two are hypothetical. The blue/white one is a joke.

Actually, imagine if Nintendo changed their logo's colors for every significant franchise (They wouldn't if they didn't wanna butthurt fans of their smaller franchises). What do you think it'd look like for Star Fox?

I do hope Nintendo turns their shit around and kicks it back into gear. The WiiU could have been a fantastic machine if they only backed it better, here's hoping this BACK TO OLD SCHOOL logo represents a more old school game development mentality as well.

Ammusingly, I've heard Zelda WiiU is going to be heavily inspired by the NES game....

I'm not sure what this could represent, but as far as the Wii gray/WiiU blue color schemes go, that at the very least does mean that's a past page of their history. Let's see how they turn out with the new logo and if it represents a new mentality.
