Star Fox Zero Model Ripping

I signed up here just because of this thread.
Is there any chance you can rip the cockpit/body models for Pigma, Andrew, Katt, Bill and especially Leon? (Hell, any other bosses that are in the game would be of great help to me).

I'm wanting to create Sprites for the characters and I need to have as many references as possible of their attires. Here's the Wolf one I already did:

As fitting for a big character, Andross's clips are the largest in size.

is there a way to download the files.

because of the decryption key in the link

I downloaded the Voice Files, but they're less than 1 kilobyte. Can't open them. I'm using WinRAR

You need 7-Zip to extract the file.

They're not organized, sorted, or identified. I am working on getting them done and uploaded to SF-O.

Hella sweet rips! Think we could get the SUPERDREADNOUGHT too?

I'm sad Zero didn't have Zeram Carriers though qq

Like I mentioned in the OP the Salvadora and a lot of the larger stuff have complicated meshes and thus are pretty hard to texture so I'm saving them for last.

The twitter I linked to in the OP has one with Wolf and I'm not sure but I think they're doing the rest of the team as well. But if they don't I'll look and see if I can find them. It depends though because I can't tell what model contains who in the Arwings and Wolfens because before uncompressing them I can only view them in a simplistic grey model with no texture.

The decryption key IS in that link.

Can you rip Wolf's model? Really curious to see how he looks in all his glory ^^

An update on the voice lines:

There are about 2500 voice files, but there are multiple versions of each line with different effect processing on them. Looks like layering these was part of the method for obtaining the 3D audio effect. They are not identified in any way, allt he files are named a random number and they are not grouped in any useful way either.

Needless to say, sorting that many files is taking a bit of time. I'm about half- way done with the first sorting pass, which is sorting by character. The second will be more tedious as I will be sorting out the processed ones. Once I've isolated the clear ones from the processed ones, I will bulk-encode the clears to MP3. Then comes the final pass of renaming and tagging the files so that they are easily identifiable. Then I will upload.

I cannot give an ETA at this time as this is very tedious and time-consuming work.

Does anyone actually like the 3D audio effect? I switched back and forth for a bit at the beginning until I decided the clearer and louder voices with it turned off just sound immensely better coming from both gamepad speakers. Otherwise, the music and sound effects drown them out.

I realize that the whole reason for the gamepad is the special cockpit sound, but it just didn't work for me.

I rather liked the 3D sound myself, it came in handy a few times when trying to determine what direction someone was coming from.

Honestly, not having the option for the voices to come out of the TV instead of the gamepad was a poor move on Nintendo's part.

The WiiU gamepad has good sound quality, and they sound fine. I wonder how much better it sounds with headphones on. Alas, my phones are USB, not a jack lol.

Would seriously love to get these models into Garry's Mod, especially that Great Fox.

:rob64: Keep up the good work!

Long time no see, everyone. If any of you remember me I tried ripping models from Starfox Assault with little success due to my lack of experience with the process of model ripping and the fact that Starfox Assault uses a unique model file type in its game files (I think the thread is still up even).

However Star Fox Zero is different, since it's actually based on the Bayonetta engine, which means that ripping models from it is easier, relatively. I'm not the first person to rip models from Zero, I found out how to from this guy: https://twitter.com/smb123w64gb.

However I'm interested in other things besides the Arwings, Wolfen, etc, so I've decided to take up ripping what hasn't been ripped yet and I would like to keep some progress maintained and archived in this thread.

Note: I am not the best model ripper, so some of these may have mistakes with textures or I may have made mistakes in exporting them to .obj or whatever. Please let me know if you find a mistake or need help. If you are experienced with 3D modelling and model ripping please, PLEASE, feel free to tell me what I'm doing wrong. That being said I will write up a tutorial at some point showing how to go from the game files to a single model.

Models will be uploaded as zip files with the following contents: an extracted .obj and .mtl file, a 3DS Max .max file, .dds files containing textures, sample render screenshots, the original .dat file from the game archives, and a file with the contents of the the decompressed .dat file.

Mega Folder: https://mega.nz/#F!MNdTmaTI!83421axUNL2K7NLEL5B5Ig

bm0107 - Cornerian Destroyer
bm0043/ba0043 - unknown ship
bh100d - Garuda
pl0041 - Direct-i
pl0050 - ATV

Note: Larger, higher poly, models like the Androsa and Salvadora will probably be done last out of this list because assigning textures to them is a nightmare. I'd be happy to give the model files and textures to someone who knows what they're doing, though.

You may use the models that have been uploaded for any purpose without credit. I didn't make them after all, I just ripped them.

Examples of what I have done so far:

That's pretty good. But what's the Wolfen's filename?

People here really have a thing for the Wolfen and Wolf don't they?

Fine, to make up for my absence: The Wolfen

https://mega.nz/#!5AlmxSxb!bwSUvCtpkksS1Wq6oW0aarfvzS9NLn_splydm7P1G7w

However this model, unlike Katt's ship, did not have any cockpit character models, not of Wolf or anybody else. Probably in a different Wolfen model or one of the .dat files that I can't view through the model viewer. I don't want to try to dig through those right now, though.

Edit: I found the character models, they're a little complicated though, so I won't do them all today, but have a bust shot of Wolf at least:

To make up for my lack of a presence here I decided to just upload the raw .dat files for the models listed in the OP currently. I may also make a simple tutorial at some point on how to rip the models as well as upload the tools needed to do so that way others can rip whatever they want.

I noticed this thread and was wondering if there has been any attempt at nabbing SFZ's sound effects. I was looking to scrounge through the files to use the sounds the arwing makes whilst, turning, flying, barrel rolling, etc.

Seconding this! Whenever I browse the game's files through Noesis, all I could find was General Pepper, Andross, Fox's torso, and Wolf's torso.

Probably something I'm missing. Hell, the models still come out untextured when I view them.

I'm waiting sfx too from a long time now, maybe this topic is dead but I came here, we don't know, I still have a hope.

Anyone know if the salvadora ship model is the same as the one in sector beta since it;s the same ship and if it's the case then the salvadora should have the same interior as the sector beta ship.
