Is it now officially Taboo to mention any post 64content now since the release of zero practically obliterated the timeline?

I will say Krystal and i will wait till somebody yells at me for mentioning it

BAWWW, DON'T EVER MENTION HER AGAIN!!!!

But seriously Nintendo is unpredictable, we don't know what they'll do with the franchise at this point.  They could retell the 64-Command canon, they could use the post-64 content but in a new way, they could make a new canon without any of the post 64 content, or maybe they thought Zero didn't do well enough and discontinue the series.

But even if Zero overwrites the old canon I don't see why a discussion about it would be taboo, since a discussion about the snes canon isn't.

No it's not Taboo.

It's part of the history.

And the old timeline has the best furry waifu.

As I've said before, Adventures and Assault are still canon.

Think of Zero as a prequel to Adventures.

Numbers, if mentioning old timelines (or even Command) was taboo, you wouldn't be hearing a word about SNES canon, or how supposedly great Fara Phoenix was.

Yeah, why? There's no tension or drama about this stuff, even. It kinda seems like you're trying to start something.

There isn't a taboo with mentioning SFC.

It just sucks and everyone likes to rant on it.

My guess is you want to cause some sort of drama, or expecting people to lambast you for the mere mention of older games. This thread and the question you pose is pointless since the majority of if not all discussions I've seen of the older games like SNES canon and now the post-64 timeline have been healthy and respectful. Nothing "Taboo" about any of this. Please stop.

How about no. If someone asks you a question, you'll get a LOT farther by answering it instead being all coy and acting like they should know.

A person wouldn't ask a question like this if they already had an idea why.

It sounds like you're trying to get us to give you a good reason why, rather than having your own reason.

Let's move this to the Rec and have a guessing game!

I guess it's because you think that the new timelines with throw out the old timelines on the inference that the old sucks.

I don't know 'bout y'all but I'mma have some fun.

i think it's because of the mating habits of the Australian frilled-neck lizard, in which female lizards choose their mates on the basis of which one best expresses antipathy towards mediocre Nintendo video games

here is an example of this unusual courtship behavior in action

remember ladies, he is single

Ah but my dear Fourteen, you've forgotten!

The old timelines aren't bad like Command. Command was an isolated event with bad story and flow or whatever Rob ranted about back yonder. For the most part the old story line is well written and liked.

And isn't SFZ supposed to be a prelude to SF:SNES? So in some way the old timeline is still in effect?
