Fox the fugitive?

imagine a situation in which after a change in government, the Starfox team are fugitives running from the Cornerian military.

like Starwolf, they are labelled as criminals and large bounties are placed on each of their heads.

at some point, while on the run, the are forced to hide on Cerinia.

Would anyone play a game in which Fox is a criminal?

Only if it plays out exactly like US Marshals (or The Fugitive being that they're basically the same film).

I  actually attempted to make a fangame with a similar plot back during my first few months here so, yes, I would like to play a game where the StarFox team are fugitives from the law. However, not on Cerinia exclusively, I would like to see in-depth segments on every planet in the game. Maybe even have the Lylat System be an open-world map, flying from planet to planet and visiting each of them planetside.

cerinia would have to be second to the last planet to be visited since the starfox team are fugitives, the number of hiding spots and places diminishes as the authorities close in on them.

Hallo 14432, I would like to say this in the nicest way I can. Do you think you are going too overboard with story? I see these all the time, I do not know if you are trolling or not. I sure many other people think the same, and do you think it be wise to follow advise, yes?

There are some clear problems with this concept.

1: The Star Fox team members are seen as heroes, so nobody would want to criminalise them.

2: Cerinia was blown up.

3: Even if Cerinia wasn't blown up, we know almost nothing about it.

4: Even if they were branded as criminals, people wouldn't just come after them expecting to take them down; they have some of the most advanced weaponry in the Lylat system, plus they're the best fighters in the series. They tore through a fleet of Andross' ships on their own, they survived the Aparoid homeworld, and more. People would be foolish to try to come after them. This is presumably the same reason Star Wolf hasn't been captured, because they're some of the best pilots and have the best tech.

what about in a situation where there is a new regime and they pass a law that makes the use of mercenaries illegal.

If they fight back they will be criminalized for assaulting military authority. either they disband or leave and seek refuge in a remote planet/system who has a governemnt who could accept them.

You heard it straight from Abla: SF has bested conflicts before so there is no need for any more games with anymore premises because SF will obviously, inevitably win using their throbbing skill. Why are we even here. Someone tell DZ the site is no longer needed.

actually, it could probably be interestingly written in

Yes I can see that.

Come to think of it, does Corneria even have a democratic system? Last I checked, General Pepper was a military leader and there is no other visible elected official...

What if...Fox has been duped and the real bad guy is Pepper.

Dun dun DUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!

Maybe not pepper, but imagine the possibility of a more ruthless general taking his place and criminalizing mercenaries and bounty hunters in an attempt to make corneria's military strogner and more independent.

But the fact remains that General Pepper was not a democratically elected leader, possibly from a time of crisis but apparently doesn't give up his power (assuming Corneria has the same constitutional values as us) for a leader who is decided for the people and by the people.

I understand what you mean, I really do. A 'what if' pertaining if Corneria has a new high ranking officer who is the rank of General who replaces Pepper goes on a new prospective on the allowance of mercs operating in place or for military personnel for a fee, then decides to reverse Pepper's previous allowance of mercenaries. So then, through the absence of due process through, marshal law deems the operating of mercenary work to be unlawful and or otherwise fund by the current established military to be abiding as dictated by the new authority of personnel :)
