14432
I'm planning on drawing a Cornerian take on the eponymous Starship from te Anime franchise "Space Battleship Yamato" or "Star Blazers" to those familiar with he English dub. Currently I'm have some trouble trying to envision what the ship would look like had she built built by Corneria. I'm talking, the assault era here. So can anyone give me soem suggestions or any idea of how the Cornerians would have dealt with this design with their technology? here are two versions of the original design:
The VGM Lover
First, add the traditional Cornerian paint job (White and blue). Then, take out the back engine, and replace it with a Cornerian Cruiser standard engine (Tweak that however you like, but keep it similar). Next, remove the guns, and replace them with the disk-like weapons, also found on Cornerian Cruisers. However, you can improve THAT design, too, by turning the disks into 360 ball-like turrets (Kinda like the Aparoid turrets, only with redesigned cannons and a different paint job, of course). Finally, take the front, and completely overhaul it to include the bridge, a sharp, pointy end, and what looks like three separate lights (hanger bays, perhaps?). Hope these suggestions help! The VGM Lover
(You can tell I've never seen the show up until now) You can just lift the roof above the bridge to make room for it. Sure, it may cause a lot of vibration on the bridge, but if anything, plus the fact that the crew could see the cannon's projectile flyin' right above their heads, that'll tell 'em the gun worked. On second thought, keep the bridge where it was, and just make the entire bow the wave motion gun, instead.

On second thought, keep the bridge where it was, and just make the entire bow the wave motion gun, instead. as for the gun configuration, the disk/dome laser turrets replace the main guns and the ball turrets replace the rows of AA guns on either side. the armament can either be standard cornerian weaponry or a unique set of armaments created exclusively for that ship much like how they managed to only produce 4 arwings, Also added would be secondary laser cannons (similar tot he great fox's laser cannons) in the "Bulbous bow" as well as a few more ball turrets on the bottom of the ship to cover the blind spots. This will be the only ship that has turrets on the rear since it's observed that nearly every cornerian vessel in star fox only has fixed foward facing weapons. The closest we have to a "Wave motion gun" in starfox, is the planet cannon from the unfinished "Star Fox 2" I think I found what a Cornerian version of "yamato" might look like: http://i2.pixiv.net/img-original/img/2010/09/26/13/30/45/13494645_p0.jpg
The VGM Lover
Unfortunately, I don't know if it's either my laptop, or what, but it won't display for me. Instead, I get a 403 Forbidden. Could anyone else see it?

The VGM Lover
Eh. Needs to have a lighter white palette, with a blue pattern somewhere on it. Also, to really resemble Cornerian Fleet technology, the bottom of the bow essentially needs to be cut out. The rest, we've already stated above. Decent find, though. Decent find, though. you mean for the bulbous bow to be cut? maybe the bulb can house a secondary weapon the blue color can occupy the lower half of the ship since it's supposedly still designed to land and float on water like a traditional sea going battleship (it can still land on hard ground too). there is still a water line on this version if you looked closely. Reminds me of the blue marine for some reason The are places on that design where fighters can launch however the ship's purpose is mainly as a battleship not a carrier: oh BTW, I was able to pinpoint the site where the image i found came from, whoever made that design also made several additional images of the design: . . . as well as some ships built in the same configuration: ships of these type would maintain the same level of exclusivity and uniqueness as the arwings or the great fox. like the arwings and the great fox, they're suppose to be represent the zenith of Cornerian technology (with the inclusion of a wave motion based technology.), more advanced than a typical cornerian warship, meaning that only a limited number of these ships would be built. They would be supplied with special fighters similar in performance to the arwings as well as in terms of exclusivity and uniqueness.
