Rusakov
OpenShot is a free and open source video editor. I've been following the cross-platform development for years. Development has been slow, but the 2.1 version was released yesterday and might be stable enough for use (though there may be some quirks). Here's the official blog announcement: http://www.openshotvideo.com/2016/08/openshot-21-released.html
CrypticQuery
I've wanted to see an open-source video editor with a decent feature set for a while. This is actually pretty impressive - I'll have to give it a shot and see how it compares to something like Sony Vegas (with cost considered of course).

Incidentally: Sony Vegas was way too complicated for me.
LoneWolf
Yo this looks really good; I used to use Sony Vegas 7.0 back in the day (Platinum!) but I've been starving for a more recent editor that isn't complete trash like the current version of Vegas (Optimizing for touchscreen? Really?). I'll have to give this a try in combination with Shadowplay and see how stuff works out.

Hidi
I'll give it a try some time. However for the work I do, I'm very tied to Premiere. Does this editor come with something to queue and export your stuff, or are you reliant on a free encoder like Handbrake?

It can export videos on its own.
