Guest
If this the wrong section to post in please let me know and move it to another board I just realized something and I have discussed it with another user here but, am I really the Only Blockland player on this site? If so, then should I embrace it or just see it as a Curse? Before anyone asks (mainly new users) what Blockland is I have a link to another thread here that explains what it is. But basically saying, out all games people seem to play together with, I'm the one person who enjoy a game that either No one has heard of Has heard of it but never played Backed away from it due to community. Doesn't want to play because of community. That pretty much sums up with Blockland, though time from time on chatroom I be showing off some basic builds I was working on along with Wrench Events or so. Yeah time to time I be showing the Colorful and delicious community of Blockland (Which I kinda sum it up as a mini 4Chan with /b and/pol though) but there is no sense of harm interacting with the community, just as long you follow my survival guild: QUADROLINE'S SURVIVAL GUIDE OF HAVING A GOOD TIME ON BLOCKLAND WITH OUT TRYING TO DRINK BLEACH Don't admit the whole server that you are a Furry/Brony/whatever - Blockland players will jump on ya the second you announce the server what you are. Always go with the Joke - Most of these peeps are usually like us; joke around at most the time. Though they will resort to using colour words and may include clever comments or emoticons such as " :^)" for every time they have a euphemism in the joke or so. Best idea to stay quiet most of the time - This usually works for me cause they're usually busy talking about other things that goes on in certain servers. Depending on the server, avoid the ones you think you're not going to like - On the Blockland Server lists there was a time where Fnaf and Undertale Fans raided the game and created various RP Servers, This lead the community replying back by sabotaging various server builds in the game resulting most of these people to leave and never return. TL:DR Best to go to a server you think you're safe to be on. Don't add absurd things to your Blockhead characters - Unless you're doing this to joke around and such, have your blockhead character look like a regular person. No absurd long-ass usernames - This happened to me before and I eventually shorten down to a reasonable length. Basically just use your current Username and you'll be fine. DO NOT SAY [INSERTGAMEHERE] IS BETTER THAN BLOCKLAND - This is something to remember. Blockland's community are pretty serious and will call out biased people for saying that. Back when Blockland was still popular (keep in mind this was before v21) There were nasty debates of which game were better, and I'm talking about the other two games; ROBLOX and Minecraft. To this day the community is "eh" at times with Minecraft but ROBLOX has been getting on their nerves since Blockland "Initially" began in 2007. They don't mind other games just as long you don't say "[Gamehere] is better than Blockland" And that's pretty much how you can play Blockland normally without the community getting to ya. But pretty much even after the long list I placed up, I'm still the *Only* Blockland player here on the site, if there happens to be a SFO server there cause someone (probably me) had another computer and opened up a dedicated server, I or them probably have it password only so that way other players don't have to join in and only the SFO community can join. Blockland can be modified to make the game interesting (Kinda like gmod) but that's all I have to say, so yeah. leave comments here if you want to discuss on this thread. (Would really like to understand why to be honest.)
Guest
[UPDATE] I have my own Server on Blockland, "Quadroline's Server" It's only password based so only specific people or friends can join. Creating a server on Blockland is just simlpe there's only two types of Servers; Regular Servers, Dedicated servers. Both are easy to make just go to "Start a game" and choose whatever gamemode you choose name server add pass for both server and admin and there, it's on the Server list. Anyway regular servers start when the "Super Admin" (aka you or any other player)creates the server and ends when the Super Admin leaves the server. Servers like these can have a max of 32 players on the server. Dedicated Servers are basically kinda like Minecraft servers except IP is not not needed. Just regular servers Dedicated Servers may have different gamemodes (which are created by the Blockland Community) Such as Blockparties (Freebuild but everyone must build along a grid), Super Kart, Rising Lava, Dogfights, the list goes on. However Dedicated Servers have more than one Super Admins and various "Admins" which regular servers have. They normally regulate the server and will kick or ban those who go against the rules. This is something I wish to happen later on when. If I get a extra computer/laptop I may open a dedicated Server or the SFO community. It may or may not get as much peeps on. It will be password base and I may get some specific addons and such to make the game easier. But basically for now my server is a regular Server. Listed in the "Q" section. Quadroline's Server Pass: Joshua Admin pass: Friends only. Maxium players: 8 players.
CrypticQuery
Prior to your thread I had never actually heard about Blockland. I did get a kick out of what was in the trailer you posted in the other thread though - if anything it did look entertaining. There are quite a few entries into the block-building genre as of late, but it is always nice to see variety.

The things you see here which Teneksi (the guy who made the video) said that the weapons they used in the along with vehicles are add-ons and made entirely by the Blockland Community. That goes for the builds as well. While new games under the term "building" come out unfortunately in my opinion some of them are either Minecraft rips or just overly simplified games for kids. Not say that all building games are like that (take a look at Planet Explorers which has a thread of it's own that I made) but generally that's what most building sandbox games are now of days. You can get the game if you want, I mentioned how buying Blockland works on the other thread, like I said I have my own server and if you want to come and say hi, you're free to do so right away.
