WolfOD64
Let's Play Video Games' Laura Kate Dale revealed several self-proclaimed inside info on Nintendo's past and future plans, including what appeared to be a Star Fox game pitched by Koei Tecmo, in the vein of its flagship Dynasty Warriors/Musou franchise: Quote The proposed game would have been mainly based around melee combat, with some space dogfighting sections and a simplified combat system. The space fights were said to have focused on being visually impressive, but unfortunately no screenshots or footage exist of the game as it was rejected by Nintendo during the planning stages, due to conflicting concerns about the future of the series. geoprimedonna
Yet another Starfox 2 or Arcade Edition. Well, if Krystal was in it, I don't know whether to smile or weep.

Omega Force tends to make use of all a franchise's trademark and recognizable assets when making a Musou game off of it, as seen with Hyrule Warriors. Krystal's a very prominent character in the series, and with this game having a strong emphasis on melee combat, her omission wouldn't make a lick of sense considering her trademark weapon is a Staff. It could've functioned similarly to the Fire Rod from Hyrule Warriors. Really, the biggest agony is the fact that I'll never play as the Star Wolf Team in a Musou setting

Or James. Or Bill... Well, it's what we get when Platinum is around. Let's hope the next Metroid, F-Zero, and/or Starfox games don't fall in their hands, or they'll be doomed from their beginning. StarMaverick
TBH, I find this odd for a Musou Game, Even it true or not.
Leon
This would have been the ONE time it would be cool to see General Scales again.
Sylono
I dunno, personally I'm still waiting on the eventual WW2 Musou game where you can pit Hitler against FDR.
delete-this-pls?
It's an interesting idea, but I can see why it was turned down. I feel like the kind of hack and slash gameplay that HW went for would require some kind of magical explanation as you tear down armies of enemies, and yeah, not too fond of magic in a complete sci-fi series like Star Fox. LightingMan64
i see why they turned it down but it would have been cool to Star Fox characters beat whole armies on foot, using there weapons.
Robert Monroe
As cool as Dynasty Warriors and Hyrule Warriors are, Starfox Warrors would have been... weird. Most characters aren't known for their melee fighting skills, and fighting an entire army as one guy without vehicles would've been.... strange? Maybe it could've worked, but it just strikes me as weird.
