Guest Fox235
My memory card seems to have this problem where I'll turn on the system and go to the memory card screen. Then I'll look at the data on the memory card and there will be blank white box in one of the slots, in it's description it will say yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over and over again with 2 dots over each one of the y's.... What is it? Can someone help me?
Kal
What system? Sounds like your card's broken, unfortunately. Try cleaning the connectors and screwing with it if keeps doing that.
brotheroffalco
if it's just one box than it probably means just one piece of data, probably one games data, has been corrupted
Guest Fox235
Well first of all, it's for GC and second, it wasn't there yesterday...
Fox_McCloud
possibly, its just screwed up. if you had it for a long time, then that might be a reason. otherwise i dont know.
EvolutionSFox
Dude! Mine recently just did this! I was so mad. It happened to my WWE Day of Reckoning games, both of them. Everything else is fine though, Starfox, Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Brothers(Thank god...) except there are two white boxes with descriptions of "YYYYYYY" with two dots hovering above each individual "Y" where my two WWE games were. I had to delete them. I use a memory card that is black with a "I" on it.
Ramuza
That happened to me before, the data is corrupted for whatever the game box was, but to be sure if there are other games in that memorycard, copy it/move it to a different memorycard, then throw away the memorycard with the corrupted data *can never be too sure you know*.. thats my thoughts on it
Fox_McCloud
DAMNIT! I just checked mine and the same happened for my MI: Op. Surma game. Except my mem. card was white. and ive had since GC came out!

Sol-Ratcht Saporro
^j00 kurzed everyone on teh intarwebz! j/k For me, it was an incident with Super Mario Sunshine. But all I did was gently wipe the memory card's opening and it worked just fine. So, try removing any forms of dust buildup and it should work. Inuyasha
>.> <.< My memory card's survived a trip through the washer AND dryer. 0.o I don't think there's anything it CAN'T do. -Inuyasha
Owner/Technical Admin Sideways Posted January 8, 2007 Owner/Technical Admin Share Posted January 8, 2007 That happened to my Playstation Memory Card, it worked fine too.. (just to be safe, I copied the only data on it{which happened to be Megaman Legends 2} onto my PS2 Memory Card.) No Problems so far. ... Though my N64 Memory card did finally bite teh dust, I ended up buying a new one.
