I like it too despite the fact that I'm confused about the face-heel-turn some characters make at the halfway point in the series.

Funny thing: the reason I started with Wing was because a poll on a forum gave Wing as the best series.

Implying Wing ISN'T the best series?

 

As long as you don't mind recycled basic mobile suit death explosions because the entire series was hand animated so every Mobile Doll and other mass produced model didn't get a unique death every time one kabloomed.

I really do like Gundam Wing, but I've seen a lot of people online who complain about Gundam Wing being awful. And I don't see that for any of the other G series.

Nah, was a bit of a joke, I can see why folks would dislike it. But it is still my favorite Gundam series, but for some that would be hard pressed to be called bad and are generally universally loved, Gundam 0080 and Mobile Suit Gundam: 08th MS Team are fantastic.
