SWAT Kats Netflix petition

For those who didn't know: the creators of SWAT Kats had a successful Kickstarter project for a new series ~2 years ago:

Cartoon Network had turned down the offer for it some time ago. There's a petition for getting Netflix to pick up a new series instead. But it needs about 255 more signatures to reach its goal of 2,500 signatures.

Here's a link to the petition for those interested: https://www.change.org/p/netflix-pick-up-swat-kats-revolution?source_location=minibar

I would love it if Netflix got it.

I signed it, sent a nice love letter to a show I never watched too.

I recently sat down to watch some episodes, and it's...I dunno. I wouldn't say it's aged well, but it hasn't exactly aged terribly either. Animation was occasionally good but didn't really fit the tone (too cartoony for an action show), the writing was clunky and lame, and the whole XTREME ATTITUDE is quite dated. Heck, that hair metal-inspired soundtrack must've been pretty passé by the time the show came out in 1994ish. It feels like a weird fusion of Ninja Turtles and Batman TAS, without the quirkiness (and ratings) of the former and style and composure of the latter. That being said, there's some definite camp value to it now, but I'm not exactly burnt up by whether or not it's on Netflix or being shown on Boomerang/CN anymore.

That's fine. Each to their own and all. :)

There were periods where I slacked off. I guess the 6 years refers to the beginning bracket and current bracket, not work in total. :p
