My Radio Drama idea starts to materialize

As you may remember, I proposed a Star Fox Radio Drama project.

Unlike my failed musical, this is a much easier thing to do as it requires a lot less work on everybody's part.

I have here a basic idea for a pilot episode. It will give a theory as to how Star Wolf ended up getting bounties on their heads. It involves Panther and an ancient Rose sculpture discovered on Titania.

My reasoning for starting with a little offshoot story like this is that I don't want to start a big one and have the pilot flop bad enough to make me not want to do a series.

None of this is concrete right now. I may even end up changing the story entirely. These decisions depend on your comments, so PLEASE comment!

Episodes, including this one, would be about an hour in length.

If you would like to help, here is what I need as of now:

1. Someone (or multiple people) to look at my story ideas and tell me if they are good or not.

2. Someone to at least help me write the script

3. Logo artist. I want something beyond cutting and pasting renders together. I can do that myself.

What I will need but do NOT need RIGHT NOW:

1. Voice Actors

2. sound effects

What I do NOT need at all:

1. An audio editor (I do this myself using Cubase)

2. Web space

3. Composers

If you want to do voice acting (though I prefer that you not ask now as I will forget by the time I am ready to recurit voices), here is what you need have:

A sound card

A decent microphone (no crappy built-ins please)

Something other than soundrec32.exe to record with ( http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ if you need something)

A quiet environment to record in

Prefered, but not required equipment:

Pop filter

Balanced mic

low-noise sound card

You have my support. I'd be happy to do whatever I can, which for now will be reviewing the story. I'm not so good with fictional elements, but I'm pretty good at making sure grammar is okay and ensuring the lack of continuity errors.

If you want an abstract logo, I can help you, but if you need original drawings of characters (which your posts indicate) then I've got nothing.

Why is "Rose" capitalized in the first paragraph? Interesting plot idea, though.

"Expedition" is misspelled in the second paragraph and there are also typographical errors in the fourth, where "the" is misspelled.

Sixth paragraph has a grammatical error.

"Wolf is angry at Panther for this, as they are now marked targets," OR

"Wolf, angered at Panther for this, knows now that they are marked targets."

Also, you never stated that Panther transformed or was afflicted with a disease, other than his obsession.

Anyway, it's nice. Cornerians can do some damage...  o_O

I'm not too concerned about the grammar in this particular document, as it is pretty much a rough draft outline anyways. But thanks for the help.

I thought I had a paragraph in there that said something about shocking truths that I haven't decided what they are yet about the rose are discovered that explain Panther's obsession.

I have always though the Cornerians had SOME strength, but not enough to be effective against larger enemies. Once Star Wolf arrives, they pwn the Cornerians there, but I think they would have trouble if the entire Cornerian Fleet attacked them. In the games, the reason the Cornerian Army is useless is for gameplay reasons. They aren't useless, IMO, but they aren't a strong military either. Plus, someone needs to mop up after Star Fox pwns the major enemies in the area.

One possible avenue I may take is that after SFC, the Cornerians become very tired of being invaded and demand a redesign of the Cornerian military reducing the need for Star Fox. The strategy of letting your enemy almost capture your capital and then using an elite unit to launch a decapitation strike is a costly one.

On-Topic: I don't think there's anything that needs to be changed, because the fact that anything can be changed makes it a lot harder to know what's good and what's not. I'm stuck unless I see a script .

I could do a logo for you, simple animation (eye blinking, glowing text or text the changes colors), a whole lot of stuff moving or just a still image, Iam your guy.

Well, as it turns out I probably won't be able to do this.

After serious thought I decided that I can not at this time commit to this. The amount of work and time required exceeds the time and work I am currently able to put towards it.

Plus, I don't like the story idea for the pilot anymore.

I would still like to do it some day, but I just can't now.

No need to worry DZ, one day you will be able to do it. Things like these take alot of time to put together, and it being winter you know every thing on sell after Cristmas, and new years is tonight. probably the summer time would be the best, with everyone break.
