I have tasted the dark side of the force, and it was good @_@

as dark side of the force, I meant the Xbox360 xD.

ok, this past three days, I have been playing my bro-in-law's 360, to check how this console is and all. I have been always a Nintendo player, and I will be, always; though, I realized so many things that nintendo lacks and  Microsoft has. To tell, the true, first of all, the Xbox360 games without Xbox live, totally suck, in my opinion (If you are a graphic whore then go ahead , you will get pleased with this console xD), the FPS games are almost all the same, and it gets really repetitive, other than the graphics, the games need more creativity. The interface is neat, complex and all, still, I like the wii's interface more (although, the friends online interface and game demos are really a show). Howerver, Xbox has what nintendo doesn't have, and that's online gaming, period. I tasted microsoft's key of success, and to tell the true, it was fantastic. I tested many games, like gears of war, call of duty 3 ( which was my favorite on online gaming, I mean, ZOMG, you are actually playing with like 30 players @_@ with 0 lag), a ghost racoon game, some rainbow six las vegas game, and 3 other fps. I really had fun, to tell the true...I don't know why nintendo doesn't want to put this kind of interface and online gaming, because IT works, and you are hearing this from a person who has never accepted the Xbox as a trully gaming machine. Yeah, I do know that nintendo is planning some online  gaming stuff, but like....for example, lets say, if I want to play SSBB with one of my friends, I will never know when he/she will be on the game, or when that person gets  in, maybe the game will have some sort of profile, but still.... ^_^. Nintendo wants to keep a low profile with contacts...I really don't know why @_@.With Xboxlife you can know when your contacts are on, when they sign in and everything. While with the Wii , you can only send messages, that arrive like 3-5 hours after you send them @_@, also I have heard about the first wii online game, that pokemon title, according to many sources on the net (like IGN), the game suffers from lag. I don't see why...is just pressing comands, that's all. Also you have 0 contact with the oponent you are facing, while on the 360's , you can use the headphones to chat while playing a game. Yeah I know....Microsoft and Nintendo are both different things but...sheesh we need  solid online gaming @_@ like Microsoft has.

Anyways, I started this thread to see what you guys think about Nintendo's ideas for online stuff.

That's what I plan to do.

About the headset, that may just come out eventually as an accessory for the Wiimote. It's certainly feasible.

Remember, you have to pay for Live. The Wii's thing is new and free, so it can't compare yet because (a) no -released- title uses it yet and (^_^ developers need to get used to it.

Since there's no real "service" in the sense of Live, SSBB may just well use a profile system. It works, and I don't see a reason to do otherwise. It all depends on what the developers decide to feature, too, so it may eventually become standardized in some way.

The 360, however, is still not quite a gaming system. A year after release and it only has some 2 or three good titles. It still is, mostly, a "Halo-machine." It's sad that more people probably play Halo 2 on the 360 than much else.
