Yeah, I'm gonna start a little fanficky. The story takes place after Command, just so you know. Aaaaaannnnd, I'm kinda a lazy guy, so I might not update that frequently sometimes. But I will finish it! It's not like 50 pages or something. Report!

Chapter 0: Return to Action

It's been only ten months since the last Anglar was shot down. Ten short months for us to see that even though the threat was gone, danger was building even then. I haven't had much contact with Team StarFox since the invasion ended, but I do know this much. Slippy left shortly after he got married and replaced Beltino as Research head. He currently lives on Corneria with Amanda. Fox and Krystal are the only remaining StarFox members, seeing as Falco left and formed StarFalco with Katt. StarWolf....has disappeared. Their location is unknown to everyone. As for Dash.....he is where this story starts. After Venom's seas were purified, he left to take over leadership of Venom. We believed it would put Venom on a course for the better. We were wrong. Lately, Dash has put all his energy into creating a huge armada, one to challenge Corneria for Lylat rule. He declared war on Corneria a short while ago for this reason. All that is left to do is for the Lylat System to take sides, and let the war begin. Dash will not listen to sense. He's a different person than before somehow. Who am I? I am General Peppy Hare, and this is the story of the greatest Lylat war ever waged.

Hmmm....It's a good start, but I think that  "StarFalco" is a little cheesy. Since there's already a "Starfox" and a "Starwolf", you might want a different name.

Other than that tiny detail, I like it! And if you ever get the chance to update again, I'll be ready to read.  :krystal:

Yes, StarFalco IS cheesy, but that's Nintendo's name, not mine. If you play through SF Command to the eigth ending (the boss is Pigma), you'll see a cutscene where Falco forms his own team with Katt and Dash, cleverly named "StarFalco". Trust me, if it weren't for that, I would've done a MUCH better name. I'm just trying to integrate the many plot endings of Command into one follow-up story. Oh, and StarFalco doesn't last long in the plot anyways. :(

Chapter 1: Alliegances (Fox&Krystal)

The vidlink on the bridge of the Great Fox came to life as General Peppy's face came onscreen. Fox smiled and acknowledged Peppy's presence. "Hey, Peppy. What's the news?" Peppy frowned as he replied, "Not any better than usual, Fox. We're having a hard time gathering extra troops lately. Most mercenaries and soldiers-for-hire are going to Venom's side. I can't blame them, though. Venom's budget for soldiers like that dwarfs ours by thousands." "Well, we're currently on our way to Corneria right now. We'd have gotten to you earlier, but a rich merchant had contacted us earlier for an escort job." A look of relief crossed Peppy's face. "That's the best news I've heard all day. Pilots like you are worth more than gold to Corneria." "You worry too much, Peppy. You know that we'll be by your side one way or another." said Krystal. "I know. This war has just made me a little too paranoid, that's all. Have you heard from StarFalco lately?" Fox shook his head. "Hmm...that's not good news. Falco and Katt have always been more of the freelancer type. I hope Venom's pay hasn't gotten to their heads." Fox looked down at his feet. "I sure hope not. I guess all we can do is wait and see if Falco makes the right decision." Peppy sighed. "I suppose so. Peppy out." Fox swiveled around in his chair. "ROB, double the fuel output. I want to get there as quickly as possible." "Roger."

That's a good next chapter. Good dialogue tho point out little details of what's going on.

One thing though: You might want to start a new paragraph when ever a new character talks, so that the text isn't bunched up. It makes it a little easier to read. (Unless it was originally like that and posting it in a web browser changed it. I hate it when that happens. )

Chapter 2: Drifters (Falco&Katt)

"Falco."

"Falco?"

"Falco!! Get up and listen to me already!!"

Falco opened one eye to see Katt glaring at him over the Sky Claw's vidlink. "Sorry 'bout that. I kinda drifted off. Boring out here in space, huh?" Katt didn't look amused. "Stop that and look outside!" Falco shifted in his seat and glanced out the window. "Oh, crap. A dogfight. Let's beat it." Falco sharply wheeled his Arwing around and sped off in the opposite direction with Katt following suit. "Whew, that was a close one, eh?"

"We wouldn't have to run away if you'd just decide what the hell we're going to do about this war."

"I know, I know, I just haven't decided what position to take. If we were to get involved in a battle, we'd have to take sides before I'm ready."

"Then make a decision. Venom or Corneria? Money or loyalty? Just decide, or else I will."

"Well, we do need the money. It's not like anyone's needed a couple of mercenaries after a war, anyways."

"Is that what you want to do?"

"I didn't say that!! I mean, I can't abandon Fox and Corneria, either. That just wouldn't be right."

"So what's it going to be?"

Falco fell silent for a moment.

"Katt?"

"Yeah?"

"Let's head for Corneria. Betraying my friends is something I can't do."

Katt smiled. "It's about time."

I don't know why, but there's just something I like about that last line.

Chapter 3: Briefing

"The Great Fox is preparing to dock." ROB reported. Fox got up out of his chair. "Good. Let's get to the briefing room as quickly as possible." Fox and Krystal hastily exited the ship and made for the Cornerian Military Affairs building. As they stepped in the door, Peppy's secretary, Stacey, glanced up. "Ah, there you two are. The general was about to start the briefing without you."

"Yeah, sorry about that, Stacey, it's a long way from Papetoon."

They quickly ascended in the escalator to the 42nd floor and rushed into the briefing room. "Oh, there you are, StarFox. You're actually just in time for the important information."

"As you all know, it's only been less than a year since Dash has taken the reins of Venom in his hands. In that time, he has drastically changed from the man we once knew him as. Our spies have shown us that his primary focus has gone from restoring Venom to its original state to building a massive army. A very massive army. From the looks of things, he has about over ten million fighters in the wings. We have about one hundred thousand. However, from our last report, it would seem that only ten thousand of those pilots are living creatures. The others are mindless androids. This, however, does not make our situation any less grim. Our attacks will have to be swift and decisive. If you find yourselves outnumbered, pull BACK. Do not play a hero, because we will not treat you as one at your funeral. You have all recieved your mission statements. Now go.....and please come back alive."

"Peppy, I'm afraid we missed that part. What do we do?" asked Krystal. "Ah, yes. Now, just a while ago, we recieved a message from one of our scouts near Sector Y. He just managed to tell us that he had spotted some Venom fighters before the transmission was lost. Your job is to bring him back. Understand?"

"Yes, sir!"

"Well, then get to it!"

Chapter 4: El Lobo Regresos!

"ROB, set a course for Sector Y." Fox commanded as he boarded the Great Fox. "Affirmative. Course set. Approximate arrival time, 30 minutes." Fox sighed and slumped down in his chair. "Well, here we go again. You ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be. I'm just glad to be fighting by your side again Fox."

"I agree. I wouldn't last very long on my own out there without you."

"Oh? I'm just a wingmate, is that it?"

"What? No!! I didn't....you see....I....was just stating a fact...and..."

Krystal laughed. "Don't get yourself all worked up. I'm just playing with you." Fox turned a deep crimson. "Oh, yeah. But....seriously, I'm glad to be back with you. Making a mistake like that is one I won't ever make again. You're like a part of me I can't replace."

"Thanks, Fox. Now, how about we forget the soft stuff and get down to business. We're here."

Sector Y sprawled out beneath them, it's pale green glow bathing the Great Fox in an etheral light. "ROB, open the docking bay hatches. We're ready for launch."

"Affirmative."

The hatches swung open and the Arwing and Cloud Runner swung into space. "Krystal, do you see the ship yet?" asked Fox. "Ummm...yes! Follow me!" Krystal spun the Cloud Runner into a dive with Fox following suit. They spun past a belt of asteroids to come across a deserted Arwing in a clearing. "That's it alright. But I can't make out anyone in the cockpit. And that model is seriously outdated....something's not right here....." Fox mused.

"What an acute observation, pup."

"What?" Fox and Krystal whirled around to find themselves surrounded by a wing of Venom fighters. And hovering at the head of them all was...

"Wolf!"

"That's my name. It's been a while." said Wolf.

"Heheh. You're looking a little worse for the wear, StarFox." cackled Leon.

"Krystal.....it would appear that you've joined my enemies. How...unfortunate." drawled Panther.

And then a familar voice rang out from the fourth Wolfen.

"Hahaha! Prepare to be crushed be the iron fist of Andrew Oikonny!!!"

"What the hell is he doing here!?!" exclaimed Fox.

"Hmph. I wasn't happy about it, either, but the wretch came crawling abck to Venom and got assigned to our squadron. But I'm sure he's more than enough to take you two out." replied Wolf.

"So, how'd you do it?" asked Krystal.

"We managed to scrape together an old Arwing and patch through a transmission to the old geezer. It wasn't that difficult." explained Leon.

"So, what's the master plan here, Wolf?" inquired Fox.

"Heh. I'm giving you five minutes to try to fight your way out of here before reinforcements show up to finish you off. I doubt, you'll make it that far, though."

"Wanna bet?"

"Bring it, pup."

Chapter 5: The Decision is Made

Fox swiftly pulled his Arwing into a barrel roll and plummeted downwards. Wolf immmediately followed suit followed by Leon. Krystal took off like a rocket with Panther and Andrew on her tail. "Boss, what do you want us to do?" one of the grunts asked. "Shut up and stay put. This one's mine." Fox applied thrust and skimmed around a cluster of asteroids. Wolf and Leon expertly followed suit and rejoined the chase. "You're going to have to do better than that to lose me, pup." taunted Wolf. Fox gritted his teeth as he rolled the Arwing II to deflect an oncoming wave of laser fire. Meanwhile, Krystal pulled the Cloud Runner into a tight turn as she positioned herself behind Panther. "Ha! Eat this!" she yelled as she loosed off a charged shot into Panther's right wing. "Aghh!!! Nice shot there, mon cherie."

"There's more where that came from!"

"Oh, really?" Andrew asked as he shot a cluster of lasers into her ship. "Ow! I'll get you for that." she hissed. Meanwhile, Fox was still evading laser fire from Wolf and Leon. He glanced behind him quickly to judge his distance and looped around. "You're so predictable." sighed Wolf as he followed suit. Fox then quickly flipped around and fired a round of lasers into Wolf and Leon's Wolfens. "You'll pay for that one." growled Wolf as he whirled around and fired on Fox. "Arghh!" exclaimed Fox as the shot found its mark. "This isn't good. We're outnumbered here, and we're running out of time..."

"Then we'll make some for you!"

"What?"

Fox whirled around to see the Sky Claw fire a chain of charge shots right into Leon's Wolfen. "Man, I've wanted to do that for so long!" hooted Falco.

"Falco!" exclaimed Fox.

...Wait....does that mean that Falco's never actually shot at Leon before?

Chapter 6: StarFox Returns

"Yep, it's me. I wouldn't act too surprised, though. Better late than never, eh?" Falco replied. Fox gave a wide grin. "Damn straight. Now let's get these fools."

"That's more like it!"

"Good. You take Leon. Katt?"

"Oh, you noticed? What is it?"

"You take the chimp."

"Roger."

"Okay, let's move!"

Fox looped around behind Wolf and began firing. Wolf's ship shuddered as the shots hit their mark. "Don't you dare get too cocky, pup. You've only got about ten seconds before those reinforcements arrive. You lose."

"Whahahaha! Oh man! Talk about coincidences! You don't mean those fighters we destroyed on our way here, do you? You remember them, Katt?" Falco chuckled.

"Oh yeah. Wasn't much of a challenge."

Over the vidlink Wolf's face contorted into a snarl. "Damn you.....but don't think that changes anything. Now I'll have to work you over twice as hard!!!" Wolf raged as he twisted the Wolfen III around to position himslef behind Fox. Meanwhile, Katt laughed silently to herself as she fired shot after shot into Andrew's ship. "Gaahh! Is that the best you have? It's time for me to turn the tables!" shouted Andrew as he brought his ship into a loop. Katt sighed and braked sharply, allowing Andrew to land right in front of her. "See ya." she said nonchalantly as she fired off another round. "Yahhhh! That's it! I'm falling back!" screamed Andrew as he shot off from the battle. "Coward." muttered Panther as he spun his ship to deflect another round from Krystal's Cloud Runner. "Nice try, but you can't escape that easy." smiled Krystal as she halted her Arwing. "What? What do you mean..." started Panther as he looked around. Suddenly, a burst of light exploded in front of him as the Black Rose was nearly torn to pieces. "Sorry, Wolf. I'm in no shape to continue here." muttered Panther as he took off. "Go ahead, Panther. Beat up Oikonny for me." replied Wolf.

"Hey! Stop that!" protested Leon as Falco hit him with another cluster of charge shots. "Give up, buddy. I'm a lot better than before. Get out of here or get killed." offered Falco.

"No way! I'm not finished!" exclaimed Leon as he whirled around and nailed Falco with a storm of laser balls.

"Well then, if that's what you want, then don't blame me for what happens." sighed Falco as he looped around and stormed the Rainbow Delta with a barrage of laser fire. "WAIIITTT!" exclaimed Leon as his ship spiraled out of the battlefield.

"Well, Wolf. It's just you and me. Ready to give up?" asked Fox.

"Don't try me." growled Wolf as he shot a bomb towards Fox's Arwing. The bomb exploded with a flash of light instantly. "Got him." Wolf smirked.

"Oh, really?"

"What?"

Wolf whirled around just in time to see a round of lasers headed at him. They struck true and Wolf's ship immediately began to burn. "Agh. Follow me, men. We're done here. Don't think you've won, though, pup. I'll be back, and you won't be so lucky." he warned as he flew off followed by his squadron.

"Heh. Well, I guess that showed them." said Falco.

"Nice to see you again. Perfect timing, too."

"Well, I couldn't leave you guys hanging. When we got to Corneria, Peppy told us we missed the briefing and gave us the job of looking out for you guys. Lucky we got here when we did."

"Say Falco, you know, we wouldn't mind having you around again."

"Hah! I knew you'd say something like that. I don't know about it, though....."

Katt sighed. "Falco, don't be a moron. You even agreed with me that we weren't earning enough money to keep StarFalco afloat. Besides, Fox is right. Pride is something you just might have to give up in this war."

"Katt....as much as I hate to admit it, I guess you're right. Looks like you've got yourself two ace pilots."

"Thanks."
