Guest Whirlpool
People don't seem to like my definition of the word. But it was just my definition, not the official one .
Guest Chiro-Chan
Er, okay. Apparantly, the brains of fanboys/girls are more broken than I suspected... Also: Is this even scientifically possible? That's what bugs me... :krystal:
Guest Whirlpool
You mean a fox and a panther having kids? Probably the Star Fox world, but really REALLY unlikely in ours.
Kal
(Why does Arby have such a goofy last name? @_@) Heh, kinda cute. Did you mean for one eye to be twice the size of the other, though?
Mr. Krystal
Also: Is this even scientifically possible? That's what bugs me... Let us not forget that Katt and Falco have a relationship... that's a cat and a bird. In anthro world, specie differentiation biology is overcome by love alone. Nice art by the way. I'd have to admit that I'm a Fox + Krystal "shipper" as they call them, but I don't have problems with speculating other possibilities. Check this out, the Japanese Panther + Krystal "Shipping" site (found this yesterday): http://uncr.hp.infoseek.co.jp/pkindex.html

WolfoxOkamichan
XD Oh to those who are wondering where I got the term... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shipping_%28fandom%
TakeWalker
Shipper came from the fact that couples are some times referred to as "an item" (or like a package) So then people who support the certain pairing, they're "shipping an item". At least that's how I see it. I'm not sure it that's exactly it or not. Uhh, try people who are fans of a particular relationship. <.< Get it? Sol-Ratcht Saporro
Whoa! A light blue panther! That certainly got my attention. Can I try to scare them? I love the fact that Panther has a worried look on his face like Fox is going to shoot him/them. *laughs* SCARE THE CLICHE! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Dr. Wilopolis
Why did 'One Winged Angel' start playing on my play list right when I saw that? XDD Well, aww, they're too cute. C'mon, who can't like 'em? I'm a Panther/Krystal shipper like I'm a Fox/Samus shipper. Hweeeeeee. Well, like your art, o Okami-chan. Keep it up. :P
WolfoxOkamichan
XD Fox/Samus eh? In any case, if Falco/Katt is acceptable, so should Panther/Krystal be!
TakeWalker
Ahh, not so, my friend. You forget, Falco/Katt was HEAVILY IMPLIED during SF64, while the relationship between Panther and Krystal (at least in Assault) was completely one-sided, on Panther's part. Strangely, what I meant to point out is that Falco/Katt is older, hence more canon. <.<
WolfoxOkamichan
XD What I mean is, they are different species yet at the same time... they work XD
Four-eyed Vulpine
Oh, man, I remember accidentally stumbling upon this while doing a search on DA, and I was like "WTH is this?!" Very interesting perception, there; I like it. I might as well comment on the gene thing too while I'm at it. What I think the deal is in Lylat is that when two people of different species have a kid, the only genetic things that can combine in the same child are things such as eye color, hair color, fur/feather color--things like that, but the essential elements of the two species cannot mix in the same being. I mean, how else are the Lylatians going to effectively reproduce with thousands of species running around within the same system? WolfoxOkamichan
^Yes. I want to use Falco/Katt as an argument to those stuff XD

The Star Fox universe is an example of the classic "animal world scenario." Much like the Sonic the Hedgehog universe and most furry comics I know of, the fictional society is made up of a large number of different "species" of anthropomorphic animals. Typically, those characters from the same family are the same "specie," but freely associate with members of a different "species," even if in the real world those associations would result in one character's death. I say "specie" in quotes, because technically, in these situations, it isn't a species differenciation. A specie's MAIN difference from all others is the ability to produce viable offspring. If animal world characters were really different species, they wouldn't be able to produce any offspring (or, in some cases, they could produce offspring, but they would be sterile). In these animal worlds, they are all able to (in theory) interbreed and have offspring that either contain a combination of the two species, or result in a mix of one type and another in the same litter. Therefore, I would assert that in the animal world scenario, all the "species" are really one species, but with different bodily attributes, much like black humans and white humans are the same specie, but don't look the same. Four-eyed Vulpine
I'm wondering if a "discussion on furry genetics" thread should branch out of this topic, so it doesn't take away from the comments for Wolfox's pic...

Mr. Krystal
I'm wondering if a "discussion on furry genetics" thread should branch out of this topic, so it doesn't take away from the comments for Wolfox's pic... Not really needed, cause there's nothing to say, really. It's just that they can all interbreed. Problem solved.
