I liked Assault, almost every aspect of it. The reason the voices sound like they were in a tin can was to make it sound like radio, it was better than the not-so-ok compression from SF64. And one thing that I really liked in the game was...*inhales* Pilot Missions. I really liked the game over, though I don't care for multiplayer, since I just can't seem to be good at it even though I owned story mode.

Multiplayer: Amazing

Singleplayer: Good, but too short (Yeah, I know...  that's what everyone says )

sure there were a couple problems, but over all, it was really good

i liked the story but i haven't played multiplayer since non of my friends really like star fox(except one that wont vs me on it for some strange reason)and you cant vs bots

plus the story is too short so i got about 6 hours game play out of it...i did like the story though....but in my opinion not the best sf game....

I thought Assault was fine. Not as good as SF64 (obviously, nothing can top that yet) but it did well. I would give it a 7/10

Liked:

The storyline (was a bit more grittier than the previous games).

Enemy (sure beat that joke of an enemy from command).

Disliked:

Voice talents (Wolf and Leon should have Brittish accents, they sounded better than that ilk).

Dialogue (it's secret weapon time?).

so?

That, mixed in with the new Andrew voice? What's there to explain besides maybe find another way to say that?

The only thing I really found enjoyable about it was the music.

Other than that...eh...it was okay. The gameplay was decent but poorly executed (not to mention short and hardly challenging at all), the plot really didn't have much going for it, and the multiplayer was thinner than a homeless man's gruel. Not really the shining star of the series. :

i have to agree with Kursed on this one.  the graphics seemed a bit... uhm... lazy than adventures did, BUT they made that up with the cutscenes.  i don't think we'll ever see a starfox game as good as adventures, ALTHOUGH it had it's weird moments, plus i hope Shadows of Lylat includes planets such as Kew or something....  not Titania or Aquas... gets old and repetitve after awhile .__.

AND this refers to Project Kursed as well...  the storyline, from what I've read, sounds... uhhh sorry to sound harsh, but it sounds like garbage.  OK, you have to save a planet from the Venom forces.  OLD and redundant.  Also, if it was to be like that, then don't bother making it.  I mean, really.  Saving a planet?  JEEZ, why don't you just say, "ahhh, screw it" and leave or blow it up.  Saving crap gets old... to me, Kursed is kind leaning on par with good and evil...can't put my finger on what she is yet...

uhmm...yes?  it's, by far, my best gamecube game.  I really loved it (even though it WAS my first Starfox game, if I might add) and, personally, I loved SFC.  I mean, yeah the storyline was a bit obsurd, and I beat the game FULLY 100% with every ending...which was, uuhhhhh, kind of fun and aggrevating all at the same time.  So, yeah, Starfox Adventures IS my best Gamecube game.

LOL well, yeah, i have to agree with you there.  I liked playing as either Leon or Panther.  Don't get me wrong, they had some pretty strong freaking weapons.

i would take that.  assault-style DS game wouldn't be a bad mix ... the storyline would be the problem

True ,but I'm pretty sure that you can run assault on the Ds i've seen a game with a better engine than assault on it so it's gotta be able to run assault.

Like I said before, it looked as if the graphics were a bit on the lazy side.  But for the most part, it looked like a gritty PSP (sorry to all you Sony haters, but i had to compare), which is a bad handheld system.
