Four-eyed Vulpine
I got in such a mood from that "Shoe on Head!" thread that I decided to start another picture topic. In this topic, get your cameras ready, and take some pictures of vehicles! It can be your vehicle, other peoples vehicles, groups of vehicles, parking lots full of vehicles, anything, just as long as the focus of the picture is on vehicles. I kind of got this idea from my cultural geography photo essay, in which I am doing a study on the land usage of the college campus, and since parking lots and such places made for vehicles are included in the analysis, I figured why not? It'll also improve my photography skills at the same time, hopefully. I'll have some photos up within twenty-four hours.
Fox P McCloud
here's my car: It's a diesel, and thus, why it's awesome; it's hard to beat 37 MPG on the highway in a 4000+lb car.
Lilacs
What do you use to fuel it? Diesel or French Fry oil Here's my car http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/49996207/
Four-eyed Vulpine
Here's my truck (1985 GMC Sierra) and my sister's car (2001 Chevrolet Cavalier). I'm not driving the truck now so I can avoid gas expenses and insurance payments, and my sister (who goes to the same college) provides all the transportation, which is nice. But now that I don't have my truck, and I'm stuck at college......attack of the parking lots! This a shot toward the southeast of a section of the parking lot behind the main dormitories on campus, which is where I reside. It's taken on a Saturday, so there's not as many cars as there could be, like on a weekday for instance. Those are some frat houses in the background on the right. Here's my car http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/49996207/ Nice tank! Does it get good mileage? XD
Lilacs
^ Thanks Does it get good mileage? No, but it has good ass whooping.
Fox P McCloud
it uses diesel fuel for now. French-fry oil is really bad for your engine, in the long run. However, my family is currently working on setting up a means of producing biodiesel.
Domino
People... Just cut and paste your ride onto white... If you don't people can see where it is.... Cool, I heard from Mth busters that French-Fry oil could work in your car with no modifications, but they didn't say it was bad for your engine. Four-eyed Vulpine
Like, what does french fry oil do to enhance a vehicle's performance, anyway?
Lilacs
It doesn't, diesel cars (Diesel only) running off French-Fry oil run 10% less efficient. But hey, French fry oil is free!
Four-eyed Vulpine
Ah, so it's more of an economic benefit than a performance-enhancing one. Understandable from the perspective of a college student without a job, o_O
Fox P McCloud
and using straight French fry oil can clog your engine and fuel lines too; it's a very bad idea. Now, with Biodiesel (it costs about 60-70 cents, per gallon, to produce) actually results in a diesel having more horsepower, and the same efficiency. Anyway, with biodiesel, there are, literally, no disadvantages.
Four-eyed Vulpine
Alright here's another picture. This is a shot of the Browning and Ellington Hall parking lots, facing west. This was taken on a Monday, so the vehicular volume is at its greatest. That blue one in the front looks nice, ^_^

Kal
Ah, I got an old 740. It's age is finally starting to show...=( Two Volvos in our family. Both lasted well over 200k before showing problems. Plus a cousin of mine accidentally ran off the road in the Puerto Rican mountains. Walked away from his wrecked Volvo 100 feet below with bumps and bruises. Volvo: Drives like a tank cause it's friggin' built like one. =D
