DZComposer
The US site now says "TBD" for the date, so it's delayed here too. I'm not suprised. I knew the reason why we didn't see it at E3 is because it wasn't ready. I think this industry announces release dates too early.
Four-eyed Vulpine
It's what happened with Star Fox Adventures. It got delayed EIGHT TIMES.
Mr. Krystal
The US site now says "TBD" for the date, so it's delayed here too. I'm not suprised. I knew the reason why we didn't see it at E3 is because it wasn't ready. I think this industry announces release dates too early. It will be playable at E for All. It was playable at the press conference two days ago too. I wouldn't say it's delayed just yet.

Mr. Krystal
There's apparently an American conference later today. If they are going to change the release date of Brawl, we will know in a few hours.
Four-eyed Vulpine
That's nice to hear. I still place my bets on Brawl being delayed. I mean, come on, getting the release date of a game correct on the first announcement without delays is likely a very rare occurrence. EDIT: According to what I hear, the release date in the U.S. is now February 12, 2008. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

WAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa! *makes crying noises* Okay, I'm better now. Looks like another dreaded delay. At least Galaxy will come out on time.
foxbird22
The delay gives them more time to make more awesome, you know. GO !

Mr. Krystal
*kills * Now put her in brawl... Oh wait, you CAN'T! I just killed her! Going totally off the subject... Hey Puff, you should check out Portal. The computer is actually about as evil as you are. She thinks pain is fun, or something like that. Check out some of the videos on YouTube. Back on Track... That's true, it would give them more time to give Krystal some really nice fur models, and a nice fluffy tail! And Puff, you can't kill a video game character. They're only the sum of their polygons and AI.

Four-eyed Vulpine
Okay, my source was close on the release date. The Smash site posted February 10, 2008 this morning. In other news: October 12--Game Modes--Taking Snapshots Finally, those funny mid-fight screenshots aren't such a hassle anymore! I see a picture thread coming in the future,
Star Fox Runner
OK, NOW I'M @#%&! WHY DO THEY KEEP DELAYING GAMES ALL THE TIME? Oh well. I get the feeling now more than ever that Krystal will be in Brawl. Sonic was the most requested, while Krystal was the 2nd or 3rd most requested, and they usually take the top three in my humble opinion...... unless they're screwin with us. Steve
I highly doubt that Krystal was the 2nd or 3rd more requested >.>, more like...80th , for what I know Wolf was even more requested than Krystal, but still, at least, she will get to be in as an Assist trophy xP. After all, with the delay, I'm sure Nintendo will put over 50 characters sooo, who knows, you guys could get lucky <<.
absoludicrous91
Actually, I believe Krystal was in the top ten most requested. She was the 2nd or 3rd most requested female character, in fact.
PuffNStuff
Yeah, I have some doubts though, they haven't announced her yet but then again, they have 4 months! BTW, haha to you, yankees got knocked out of the world series... AGAIN!
Star Fox Runner
Why are you so cruel Puff? I think someone didn't love you enough when you were little.
absoludicrous91
In all seriousness, though, my prediction is that will be an unlockable in Brawl. ("The Unlockables"...sounds like a movie). And, if she is a character, perhaps a stage will be Krazoa Palace or Thorntail Hollow! (That's pushing it, I know.) And BTW, please don't make fun of the Yankees until you know something about MLB''s playoff structure. The Yankees lost in the ALDS, not the World Series. We're not even at the World Series yet! And I could go on all day about how we could/would/should've won if not for a few mayflies, but this is a Star Fox board, not a baseball board. I've got the official list, as posted on the Japanese side of the Dojo before they switched to their current, update each weekday, structure. Keep in mind that this list does not contain characters that appeared in previous Smash games, nor did it apparently include Sonic. I'm not sure why, but assume that Sonic was the most requested character by far, for everyone else, this is the official list: King Dedede(5) - Kirby's partly evil rival *Diddy Kong(4) - Donkey Kong's buddy Geno(4) - Puppet from Super Mario RPG *Ike(4) - Good guy from Fire Emblem Ridley(4) - Samus Aran's evil rival Captain Olimar & Pikmin(3) - Main character in Pikmen and his followers Krystal(3) - You know her Takamaru(3) - Japan-only samurai character Windwaker Link(3) - Young, cell-shaded Link Animal Crossing MC(2) - The "you" in Animal Crossing games, I believe Claus(2) - Earthbound 3 character Demiru(2) - Character from a Japan only game. Isaac(2) - The main character from Golden Sun. Jeff(2) - Earthbound main character Professor Kawashima(2) - The floating head in Brain Age games King K. Rool(2) - Donkey Kong's villain Lip(2) - Character from what would become Tetris Attack in America *Lucas(2) - Earthbound character Mega Man(2) - Robot boy who can take the powers of other robots, very popular Oguma(2) - Fire Emblem character Ouendan(2) - Characters from the game that would become Elite Beat Agents in America Sukapon(2) - Good robot character from Japan only NES game * = confirmed As you can see, Krystal is in a four-way tie for 3rd place. She's the number one most requested female character by far. Source

Mr. Krystal
October 25--Characters--King Dedede The THIRD Kirby series character to enter the fray. Do you think they're going overboard? Not really, he was the most requested character (not counting Sonic). With Dedede's inclusion, Krystal is at most 5 characters away, but could potentially be as little 1 away, based on the list I posted earlier (Ridley has a pretty low chance of being in Brawl). Four-eyed Vulpine
Hmm, ok. Has a maximum character count been stated? SSB had 12, and SSBM had 27. SSBB is currently at 22 (Samus and her Zero Suit counterpart as one character).
Mr. Krystal
Hmm, ok. Has a maximum character count been stated? SSB had 12, and SSBM had 27. SSBB is currently at 22 (Samus and her Zero Suit counterpart as one character). There are only 25 characters in Melee. There are unconfirmed reports that say that there won't be a doubling of characters as between the original and Melee, but an increase of 50% or so, which means that 25 + 50% = 37.5. I'm going to go out on a limb and say about 40. There has been a confirmed announcment that there will be one or two more third-party characters, not counting Snake, so since Sonic is confirmed, there might be one other third party character. 40 - 22 confirmed = 18 left to reveal. But then there's the matter of secret characters. There were 4 secret characters out of 12 in the original = 33% secret characters There were 11 secret characters out of 25 in Melee = 44% secret characters I don't see a clear trend, but if the percentage is 45% for Brawl, then there will not be any further revealed characters (18/40 = 45%). I sincerely doubt that they will put that close to 50% of their fighters as secret characters. I would lean more towards 33%.
