Mr. Krystal
Posts older than 6 months will be moved to the new SFO Archivnes board under SFO Stuff. The board is locked to non-staff members. This is to prevent dredging while keeping the old posts around. Does this lock still active topics that were started over 6 months ago, or lock topics not replied to in 6 months? DZComposer
Only stuff that's been dead. Active threads and stickies are not deleted.
Blink
As long as we can request topics to be unlocked and moved back into place, it sounds fine. My fear with doing something like this is that it doesn't allow people like me, who find new information regarding old games and events all the time, to post new information in old topics. For example: I found new information about the bridge poster in SFAd, yet that topic has been moved to the archives. I had to PM dwight to see if I was allowed to have that topic opened again just so I could post this new information in it, information which really doesn't deserve to be in a topic of it's own, but more than deserves to be in that particular topic. Eh, we'll see how this works out. Just a little inconvenient for stuff like this.
DZComposer
Well, digging up old topics is not supposed to be a common thing. Any staff member except fanwork mods in some instances, should be able to move them out if there is a legitimate need for them.
Blink
Dwight said to just make a new topic and link to the old one. xD I guess that works too, silly me.
