Star Fox Movie

Well, then how about Harold Ramis? He's done a lot of great movies? Or maybe Ivan Reitman? Probably not Reitman. He's more into paranormal stuff, ala Ghostbusters.

Sorry for the double post, but maybe it would be directed by John Hughes. He's just someone I thought of because he did great with Home Alone.

I think this would be another idea on what Wikipedia would say about a Star Fox animated movie:

Star Fox is a 2010 Computer Animated film by Warner Bros. Animation, based on the Nintendo brand of video games of the same name (Although the film makes little to no acknowledgment to this). The film is notable for featuring a handful of celebrity voice actors, such as Rob Paulsen as Fox McCloud, Peter Cullen as General Pepper, Dorian Harewood as Wolf O'Donnell, and Frank Welker as Andross. Star Fox was a huge hit in the box office, grossing $205,119,983 worldwide, that's at least 4 times it's budget. The film was heavily praised by fans of the Star Fox video games for staying true to the series' amount of space battles, and succeeded in attracting an audience outside the original Star Fox fandom. Several of the original Star Fox fans even returned to the franchise, some of which even said "This movie is what Star Fox needed to get back on it's feet.". However, despite it's financial success, critics felt that Star Fox was a cheesy rip off of the Star Wars saga, with an almost all animal cast. It currently has a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Another thing I thought about was if Star Fox gets a hugely successful TV series first, then maybe the film would be part of the TV series. This is the case for The Simpson's Movie, and 1986's The Transformers: The Movie...Well, maybe not

Transformers: The Movie. Most fans hated it because Optimus Prime died in the film, the film was a critical failure, and it did horribly in the box office.

You guys let me know later on.

EDIT:

Or I can post again when I come up with some new ideas.

I'm trying to track down people interested in a Star fox feature film, I've seen several attempts in the past, all of them failing.

I will not see it fail again.

Star Fox is a very appealing story, it is a coming of age story, classic Monomyth structure (aka: hero's journey) a war story, potentially a political story. It is flexible enough in its structure that it can be built upon while still maintaining the original spirit of the story, for example: What happens between the time of James McCloud's death and the beginning of the game? Where does the bitter enmity-filled rivalry between Fox and Wolf begin? How did the rest of the Star Fox crew come to be? A new storyline is not needed since the original is ripe for film making.

At this moment I am currently writing a petition/pitch directed at DreamWorks Animation SKG to make this film. I am more than willing to take any advice regarding my petition/pitch, simply send me an E-mail at <chaos_leaderfilm@yahoo.com> and I will take your thoughts into consideration.

I don't know if I've posted this already, but they could totally do a Star Fox live action movie on the cheap if they used a 3D technique like this over live actors.

I kinda had that theory once myself. If they could put all the other character features over the actors, it would work out great!!

Then again, animated might turn out better.

Actually, it works quite well. Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3 used live actors, and they digitally put on their crazy fish-men suits.
