Mr. Krystal
A very large portion of my music collection is made up of "free music." Stuff that is legally, or at least mostly legally, posted online at no charge. This is a topic for posting that kind of music. Post whatever you like so long as it follows the forum rules (minimal cursing, etc), and don't post anything that's a direct copy of something you can buy in a store or on iTunes. Only post fan remixes and original free works. Please also post the source website for each, or each set, of songs. Give a description of where the music came from in general. For each song, link the title to the actual address of the music, if possible. Otherwise, post instructions. Finally, to the right of each title, give a brief description of the piece. In general, follow the example below. Enjoy and post!!! Synaesthete Game Soundtrack A free game from Digipen students. It's a rhythm action game, an unusual combination that's great fun. The music was made available for free on their site. Gearbox - Upbeat house/electronic Elation - Upbeat happy hardcore SongsToWearPantsTo.com An interesting website I just found that takes requests for songs of any kind and subject matter. The person running it takes all these requests (paid and unpaid) and chooses some to do, usually around 1:30 long apiece. SUPER MARIO BROTHERS THEME (ORIGINAL NINTENDO IS AWESOME REMIX) - Electronic rap about Super Mario. The first 24 seconds can be looped to remove the rap part and still sounds great! SHOOT THE ZOMBIES - This song is awesome funny just because of the subject matter. The title explains it all. FUNTASTIC POWER! Keaton is a happy hardcore remixer, which means he takes songs we know and love, and makes them hardcore electronic dance songs, or similar. However, the happy part is that they are all upbeat. He has a lot more than what I'm listing, but these are my favorites. Super Mario Bros. 3 Speed Run - Keaton's interpretation of some Super Mario Bros. 3 music. Crossfire commercial vs. DragonForce - Remember that old Crossfire ad? Remember how they were all intense in ad's tune? Keaton put that to heavy metal. They work well together. Leeroy Jenkins (fun times mix) - Leeroy Jenkins nicely packaged in a techno jam. Barbie Girl vs. Ghostbusters - Keaton somehow managed to combine the Ghostbusters theme with the Barbie Girl song. Monkeybacon Posts alternative music made from old synthesizers for free. Roller - A classy alternative piece that's pretty catchy.
Gene Inari
The Newgrounds Audio Portal is a good place to get some music. I'll put up some of the good stuff sometime soon.
