ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
You know, if Star Fox originally started out as a cartoon, it's status in a Wikipedia article would looke kinda like this. Genre: Science fiction, Animated television series Starring: David Kaye, Maurice LaMarche, Casey Kasem, Rob Paulsen, Brian Dobson, Frank Welker Country of origin: United States Number of episodes: 65 Original run: 1989-1994 This is just what I'm saying. We know Wikipedia will never say that, because there never was a Star Fox cartoon, but there might be one in the future.

Well if my cartoon "The Adventures of Star Fox" ("The Adventures of Star Wing" in the UK) was real, i think the Wikipedia article would look like this: Genre: Science fiction, Animated television series Starring: Doug Parker, John Stocker, Danny Wells, Tony Rosato, Margot Pinvidic, Tracy Moore Country of origin: United States Number of episodes: 25 Original run: 1994-1995 It would also use the sound effects from Star Fox SNES & Star Fox 2. Just how Super Mario Bros. Super Show did. "L-L-LEAPING RIBBITS!" and that quote would be Slippy's quote in the cartoon, & would say it would he got suprised or scared. ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
I still like the idea I had for the show where Andross has a pair of bumbling officers in the Venomian army. A crocodile named Caiman, and a Komodo Dragon type lizard named Rancid. The two of them are usually seen fighting Star Fox piloting the bosses from Star Fox or Star Fox 64. Star Fox destroys the machine, the two of them are blown all the way back to Venom, Andross is a bit angry with them, but is still confident that if Star Fox reach Venom he can kill them himself. In later seasons of the show, say one based on Star Fox Adventures, Caiman and Rancid are working for the show's current villain when Andross is out of commission. Even then they keep screwing up. The two of them would be sort of like Bebop and Rocksteady from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, except they're naturally born instead of through mutations, and they're in a military instead of a criminal organization. Think that would be a good idea?

It was high shielded, high powered, & high defensive! Caiman: But not water proof!
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
It would also be something like this. Say, the first time it happens, Rancid is blown straight into orbit after Star Fox beats the Attack Carrier, which he's piloting. He floats around in space wondering why no one has come looking for him. Rancid: Hello? Is anybody gonna come and pick up? Hello?! Come on! I didn't screw up that badly did I?! I imagine a time in my imaginary SFSNES based cartoon. So Star Fox is engaged in a dogfight with Star Wolf & Fox says: Fox: Hey Star Wolf! Where did Andross find ya? Working in a pie factory?? Wolf: Gaaaaaaaah! I wasn't a worker! I was a Venom trooper! I WAS A BOUNTY HUNTER!!! *Wolf is ticked off, so he boosts after Fox's Arwing and targets him, but is intercepted by Miyu's Arwing & she nova bombs him* Wolf: NOOOO! YOU TRICKED ME! DANG YOU STAR FOX!!!!!!!! *Wolf's wolfen explodes*
Guest Chiro-Chan
Well, technically 'Rancid' wouldn't be alive if he was floating around in space. He'd probably suffocate.[/fun killer] Though I think if they based a cartoon directly on Itoh's comic, it'd be a hit. Though at least give Fox's parents different names. 'Fox Sr. McCloud' doesn't have as nice of a ring as 'James McCloud', and 'Vixy' needs to be different all together. 'James McCloud' and 'Emma McCloud Reinard' sound nicer to me, personally. Maybe delve into some of the other character's backstories too besides Fox's and Falco's. I'd like to know how Peppy and a smart guy like Slippy ended up as hobos living under a tree. xD

I dont really mind the name Vixy Reinard for Fox's mother. Oh and they werent hobos, they were exiled to Papetoon because they were considered outlaws. And Pepper managed to bring them back to Corneria when he was promoted to General.
Guest Chiro-Chan
Yeah James McCloud would be a better name for Fox's dad, but i dont really mind the name Vixy Reinard. Oh and they weren't hobos, they were exiled to Papetoon because they were considered outlaws. And Pepper managed to bring them back to Corneria when he was promoted to General. Yea, though they basically lived like hobos until General Pepper asked for their help. Oh well, they were still technically outlaws either way. It'd be nice if they made a cartoon based on the comics, but I can't see it happening, since there are too many other fans nowadays who probably wouldn't sit well with it. Star Fox 64 would work out better, since most people have played that, and the younger fans might recognize it more as well. I'm positive though, since there are still several people who haven't played that either. I myself am one of the slightly newer fans to the series (first game was Star Fox Adventures), so we'd need something that everyone can relate to. =
Mr. Krystal
If I were in charge of the action sequences, they might play out in a similar way to Samari Jack's: intense emotion, lots of action, and little to no talking. They are fighting for their lives after all.

ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Again with the Wikipedia thing, I hope the article says this about the show when it's done. Star Fox is an animated television series based on the brand of science fiction shoot-em-up and adventure games by Nintendo. The series was heavily praised by critics and audiences alike for it's mixture of dark storylines and comic relief. The series is distributed by DiC Entertainment, and has many strong ties to the games. It also has increased interest in the Star Fox universe by attracting audiences outside the Star Fox fandom. I really hope that's what they say.

The series is distributed by DiC Entertainment, and has many strong ties to the games. It also has increased interest in the Star Fox universe by attracting audiences outside the Star Fox fandom. I really hope that's what they say. Yeah I suppose the wikipedia Star Fox Team character section in my cartoon, would look kinda like this: Fox McCloud is a red fox who is a Lylat Galactic Warrior. (Therefore he uses a beamsword instead of a blaster ) He pilots a "SFX ARWING" starfighter & captains a mothership called the "Great Fox" and the squadron captain of the Star Fox team, his team consisted of: Miyu Starfire - a mysterious tomboyish lynx princess from the planet Conelia, which was destroyed by Andross's forces. She & her relatives managed to escape from the planet before it exploded. She is the secondary squadron captain of the team & holds powers such as a physic blast, healing powers, & a telepathy called "lynx senses", she keeps her powers secret from her wingmen, with the exception of Fox. Through out the series, Miyu gets feelings for Fox & they develop a relationship. They end up kissing at the end of the final episode of The Adventures of Star Fox: Episode 25 - "The Assualt on Venom" Peppy Hare - the secondary ace pilot of the team, Peppy is a wise brown & white hare that was working with Fox's father, Fox Sr. (AKA James McCloud). He also is a Lylat Galactic Warrior, & he was Fox's trainer. When Fox heard the news about his Father's death near the black hole, he depended on Peppy to finish his training, finish his days at the academy, & form a new Star Fox team to defend Corneria. Falco Lombardi - a blue falcon & the primary ace pilot of the team, when Falco is in his Arwing, he goes for the most bogies. He has arguments with Fox, but they turn out to be friends. Falco had a shady past, and had come from gangs. When he first met Fox, Falco wanted to fly, so Fox showed him the way. Falco cleaned up his act, trained at the academy, & earned his wings. Falco & Slippy never get along, and Falco sometimes threatens to hurt him, but Fay defends Slippy, & Falco is unsuccessful. Fay Pepper - a white cocker spaniel & the secondary mechanic of the team, she is General Pepper's daughter, & a childhood friend of Fox's. While she is not that skilled at combat. She is a good mechanic. She works mostly with Slippy when it comes to repairing the Arwings. She tries to break it up, when Falco & Slippy are fighting. Through out the series, Fay gets feelings for Slippy & at the final episode, she asks him out. It is not offical if they do have a relationship, because Episode 25 was the final episode, we will never know. Slippy Toad - a green toad & the primary mechanic, another childhood friend of Fox. He is not skilled at combat, & tends to get bogies behind him most of the time. However he is a professional mechanic, outside of his Arwing. The Adventures of Star Fox's "Slippy" is known for his "L-L-LEAPING RIBBITS!!!" quote along with quotes from other game based cartoons such as "That's Mama Luigi to you, Mario!" & "Well excuse me! Princess!"
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
This is what I hope Wikipedia says about the Star Fox team in the cartoon. Fox McCloud: Leader of the newly established Star Fox team. Fox is the son of the late James McCloud, and wishes to avenge his father's death at the hands of Andross. Fox was legally ordered by General Pepper to take a recon unit job, hoping it wouldn't give Fox a run in with Andross. After Fox and his team defeated a group of Andross's forces on Corneria, the Cornerian army rewarded them with 4 Arwing star fighters, their ship refitted, and with that Fox formed the Star Fox mercenary fighter squadron. Falco Lombardi: Falco is an ex-con who originally worked with Fox as community service, not because he wanted too. He tends to get arrogant in battle, taking on as much enemy ships as he can, and sometimes ending up pursued by them. Falco often argues the team's mechanic Slippy Toad, because he thinks Slippy is a terrible pilot. Whenever a battle starts, Falco is always the most eager to get out to the skies and fight. Despite being an arrogant person, Falco and Fox are great friends. Peppy Hare: Peppy is a former flight instructor at the Cornerian flight school where Fox worked to earn his wings. When he heard about Fox being legally ordered to a recon job, Peppy retired from his former job so he could help his former student. Peppy sometimes thinks of Fox as a son, especially after James' death, which left Fox without a family. When in battle, Peppy give helpful hints to the other members of Star Fox. This comes from his days of teaching at the academy, as well as years of dog fight training. Slippy Toad: Fox's best friend since high school. Slippy is much more suited to ground combat and technical work, rather than flying in which he greatly lacks experience. Falco and Slippy almost never get along, as they usually insult each other based on their personal flaws. When he's not working, Slippy is usally found playing video games, watching Saturday morning cartoons, or reading comic books. Slippy is perhaps the most emotional member of Star Fox, as any sad story will make him start crying. Krystal: Krystal is the beautiful princess of a tropical paradise planet called Cerinia. She met Fox when Star Fox crash landed on the planet, and saved her from Andross. When she first got to really know Fox, Krystal started to build romantic tensions between him, even more so when he saved her life. Krystal is the most kind and caring of all the members of Star Fox. This trait is demonstrated by the fact that Krystal serves as the team's medical officer. Fox loves her with all his heart, and Krystal loves him in the same way. ROB 64: ROB is the robotic operator of Star Fox's mother ship, the Great Fox. He often works with Slippy on repairing the Arwings or Landmasters. ROB keeps a calm mind, but at times his sarcasm chip overrides his logic circuits. ROB often makes witty remarks to lighten up the situation, although sometimes that doesn't work. When there aren't any jobs available for the team, ROB maintains his role as the Great Fox's pilot, never complaining about the work load.

ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Let's just get back to the Star Fox cartoon. The show would also need running gags. Maybe have something like starting when Krystal meets Fox, every few episodes they try to kiss for the first time, but something keeps interrupting them. How about Falco insulting Slippy, and they argue a little bit before Peppy breaks them up? Probably one where at the end of most episodes, ROB makes some sort of witty remark, and everybody laughs. Mr. Krystal
If there have to be running gags, they need to be clever. I can't tell you how much I despise stupid running gags, because they tend to be the same on EVERY SINGLE SHOW.

This was featured as a running gag on the now-infamous "Legend of Zelda" show- quite possibly the crappiest cartoon to come out of a crappy era. If Star Fox ended up like that... Also, why does a Star Fox show have to be a "Saturday morning" show? No offense, but can't we aim a tad higher than that?

Mr. Krystal
*slaps Jedi* NO IT is destined for late night saturday! Or at least primetime thurday I have to agree with him about the late night. Shows aimed at kids, while good intentioned, never really work out for what we are probably looking for. That's not to say that it should be aimed at adults, but try to have grown-up themes with lovable characters.
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
We already know the grown up themes in Star Fox. They have things like the death of James McCloud, and pretty much every character casualty there's been in the series so far. Maybe have Fox and Krystal finally kiss at the end of the series, and I mean "open mouth". Real lusty love stuff. I know a Star Fox cartoon would generally target children ages 7/8 and up, but just in case it causes a public outcry from viewers, let's not have a scene at the end of the series depicting Wolf's death. Wolf might not die, he's too popular of a villain.
