Does General Pepper have a first name?

Just curious, I've never seen his first name anywhere.

"General"

His title is actually "Lord Supreme of Corneria." Thus, his full name is "Lord Supreme of Corneria, General Pepper." Of course, the Star Fox team, being made up of cocky youngsters (and one old guy), call him by his first name. The Lord Supreme etc did try to stop them from using his first name without proper title by sending out his entire star force army, but being the Cornerian army, most were destroyed while trying to navigate through Meteo. The rest surrendered when Falco sneezed. After that, Lord ...you know what, I'm just going to call him 'General' for now... decided to let it go, since they would still do whatever he said, as long as he paid them well.

Wow! I turned a simple answer into a humorous, historical parody. :ok:

Edit:

Oh yeah, a real answer. I forgot about that. How about "Bob?" 'General Bob,' it's got a nice ring to it!

Edit 2:

OR! How about making his first name "Salt" and his middle initial "N."? Then you've got "General Salt N. Pepper!"

It oughta be some Beatles inside-joke. I just can't think of one that wouldn't be totally cheesy.

Actually, in the Corneria stage of Super Smash Bros. Melee, a picture of him appears on one of the buildings in the background.  When you pause at the point and zoom in on the picture, it reads "Pepper Corneria."  I'm sure there's a picture of it around the Net somewhere...

But anyway, from reading that, it seems that "Pepper" is actually his first name and "Corneria" is his surname.

In terms of canon, Pepper's first name is not stated. It may come later, but anything you heard out there about it is fanfiction.

The canon makes no reference to the political system within Lylat. Although there are implications that Corneria City is the center of government for Lylat, it isn't ever explicitly stated.

I've always thought Corneria to be a democratic republic, but I have no canonical basis for that.

Maybe he doesn't have a first name, just like Krystal doesn't have a last name.

Maybe. >_>

What about George S. Pepper, rather than George S. Patton. Although unlike Pepper Patton was a nut job.

If it was a Beatles pun his full name would be John Pepper, or Pepper McCartney.

Hey, I like George S. Pepper somewhat.

Especially because the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was produced by GEORGE Martin.

A more recognizable Beatles pun is hard though, unless you think John Paul George Richard Pepper is good.

I don't know... can you have a last name if you don't have one to begin with?

I'm fairly sure it was originally intended to be; while the comics were never canon, it made several references to this....also, so I've heard, there are a few references to Shakespeare in the series (most obvious is Macbeth, obviously).

George Pepper? I don't like that to be honest....though it could be fitting, if you catch what I'm saying *chuckles*.

That aside, even in the Beatle's song, it makes no reference to even Sergeant Pepper's first name is....so it remains a mystery.

We don't know Dr. Andross's first name either.

It is a military dictatorship! YAY for general pepper!

I think now after Assault, Corneria will be some sort of democracy.

^Oh I know, it's Lutherv.  *brick'd*

Actually I would think that Andross would be his first name. It would have been under the impression that Oikonny was his last name since he's related to Andrew. But, I'm not sure if indeed he would have kept the same last name. As for Pepper's first name. I have nooo idea either. I would have made the salt n pepper joke but I was a couple of days too late. :?

when you refer to someone by "Dr." you never call them by their first name....for example, let's use my favorite politician; Ron Paul. People don't call him "Doctor Ron"; they call him "Dr. Paul". I have no reason to see why it would be in different with Andross (who is referred to numerous times as "Dr. Andross".

Guest Chiro-Chan

Andross' first name is Billy Bob Joe Joe the Third. Thus, he discarded his name due to lack of a threatening sound, and is simply referred to as 'Emperor Andross', or 'Doctor Andross'. xD

Hmmmm....when did anyone refer to Andross as Dr. Andross? I think they might have said "Andross who was a scientist (doctor)" in that sense but not give him the title. In that case, Andross could still be his first name. Correct me on the doctor manner because I feel that I might have missed that detail. Big time....

Andross isn't a Dr., he's an Ms.: "Maniacal Scientist".

Ms. Andross is how he should be referred to.

Proof!
