DZComposer
I am thinking that his signature is a violation of the no politics rule, seeing as it is a blatant political at for a US Presidential candidate. http://forums.starfox-online.net/index.php?action=profile;u=386 Is there general agreement among the staff to ask him to change it? I haven't been paying much attention to sigs lately, so if anyone else has a similar one post them here.
Infinity
If we go by this by the book it technically does not violate the rules. The no politics rule falls under the posting part of the rules and not the signature rules. I think if signatures were changed suddenly it would not make us look very good. Too much enforcement can make a forum seems not a very friendly place. I mean he's not making a thread about it and I haven't seen any flaming for him having that. So, I don't think it'd cause too much trouble if he kept it.
Mr. Krystal
As far as I've seen, he has not brought politics up in forum posts. I've talked to him personally, and I'd say he's holding WAY back just by putting that in his sig. If you ask him to remove it, he will probably leave forever. DZComposer
Actually, sigs DO have to follow the main posting rules: Signature Rules Signatures (sigs) must abide by the posting rules as well as these additional rules. 1. Please keep the image sizes reasonable. 2. Sigs have a 300 character limit enforced by the forum software. 3. If a staff member tells you your sig is too big/long, please amend it. Refusal will result in an admin removing your signature. Of course his reaction should be considered, but we must be careful not to give people too much leeway. Infinity
Ah, my bad then. I still think it would be bad to remove that if nothing negative is coming towards that. If it were removed it might give some users a sense of less freedom on these boards, but this is just speculation.
Mr. Krystal
What if we just ask him to remove the words below the banner, as a compromise?
