ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
There probably should. It would maybe end up like F-Zero. What do you guys think?
Mr. Krystal
I don't think it could offer much more than other racing games already do.
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
It could be like F-Zero, but with a lot more ariel stunts. It's Star Fox, so we'd want it to still have a lot of airborn stuff in it.
DZComposer
No. We already had one major genre shift in the series and I think it did more harm than good. Now, I wouldn't mind seeing SF characters/vehicles in a general Nintendo character racing game.
Rapidfire
Now, I wouldn't mind seeing SF characters/vehicles in a general Nintendo character racing game. *epic voice* SUPER CRASH BROTHERS! Yeah, I'd have to agree with Dwight and DZ. Even a standalone, throwaway SF racer would probably be pretty substandard. It generally doesn't work with any video game franchise, and StarFox would likely fare no better.
Star Fox Runner
Now, I wouldn't mind seeing SF characters/vehicles in a general Nintendo character racing game. That idea has crossed my mind a couple times when I was thinking about random junk, and I wouldn't mind seeing that happen.
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Maybe it would unique in it's own way, say, on most tracks there are parts of the road that curve upside down, and when you drive off the end, your vehicle remains upside down. Translation, now your flying! YAY! To get back down you'd probably go straight into a ring turns your machine back up and you land safely on the road. A Star Fox racing game probably won't happen until after Nintendo does a few more traditional airborne Star Fox games. If a Star Fox racing game had a plot, it would probably be just something like this. The race is something Star Fox enters so that they can earn prize money, and still keep their equipment in commission during peace time. Think that's how it would go? ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
What I meant to say was you stay in the air like that, and you can come down at your own will. The machines would probably be allterrain, meaning they can be on roads, on bodies of water, or in the sky. That's something we haven't seen very much of yet. I think what he meant was that it IS F-Zero. Flying, swimming, surfing, etc. It's all the same. Why would Nintendo trash one of their own franchise because another wants to cross over a genre? You could think of it like this: Star Fox is to Racing as Mario is to Flight Sim.
The Green Fox
Yes, there should be. I think it would be fun. Either that or make Fox be a Mario Kart racer (hell Diddy Kong has nothing to do with Mario and he made it in somehow), and design a Mario Kart course modeled after the Star Fox universe and call it Lylat Speedway, or something. One of the endings in Star Fox Command may be a hint that there is an upcoming racing game. I'd personally love the idea, even if it is similar to F-Zero. It would be G-Zero, lol. ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
It would probably be the same as flying the ships in all-range mode, but a bit faster, and you can't fly as high up. That seems good enough, right? Right?
Guest Chiro-Chan
Maybe instead of making Star Fox a racer, they should leave it as a 3rd person shoot-em-up, and just make another F-Zero game. (even though there hasn't been one announced in like... 3 years? *coughcough*)

Guest krystal08
:D You all talk about this like it will obligatory be a racng game with ship! I think more of a racing game with Landmaster. This way we can do some drift or something else like that! Plus, if you want we can add Nos for the Landmaster and costomise it with bodikits and with rimes like the Need for Speed games! Me,i think more of a game like that!

Guest krystal08
:D Hey!!!I was thinking what i was saying.You don't have any imagination? Don't you think the Landmaster is fast enought for doing a racing game?And beside we alredy have racing game with truck so... Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Mr. Krystal
LOL, well, not really. I don't think the Landmaster, or most tanks would be particularly suited for racing. The Landmaster can't be going faster than 20 mph when we see in in SF64.
Guest krystal08
I' know that but if add some "nos" plus a turbo kit....how fast do you think i will run? Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â :?
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
You have an odd mind about Star Fox, don't you? I think that if Star Fox gives the racing genre a shot, it should probably use the bikes from Star Fox Adventures. You know, those speedy little F-Zero type bikes that Fox rode on in Snowhorn Waste, then Darkice Mines, and finally as a boss battle in Cloudrunner Fortress. A friend of mine once told me that it would be a great racing game. What do you guys think?
PuffNStuff
I' know that but if add some "nos" plus a turbo kit....how fast do you think i will run? I dont think that the landmaster runs off of a internal combustion engine. Not even our tanks have those. But if you played sf:command, fox and falco and with some speculation in F-Zero (james McCloud), they can race in the G-Zero circut lol.

Those where converted Arwings, which have G-Diffuser technology (same as F-Zero racers), which the Landmaster does not.
Rapidfire
Wait, the Landmaster doesn't have G-Diffusers? How can it hover without that?
PuffNStuff
If the harrier can hover without a g-diffuser why can't the landmaster?
Star Fox Runner
The Landmaster can hover because of the jets underneath it. Simple jets, no G-Diffuser.
