Star Fox Runner
I'm throwing out my thoughts here, so don't any of you go crazy thinking ths official information. People have been wondering why Nintendo has put Star Fox 64 on the virtual console, but not Star Fox for the SNES. I came up with this theory. When Metroid Prime 3 came out, they put Metroid and Super Metroid on the VC, and when Super Mario Galaxy came out, they released Super Mario Bros. 3. So maybe they are waiting to release Star Fox Wii before releasing Star Fox. My idea also goes with Smash Bros. 64, when Brawl is released. But it could also be that they are having trouble putting Star Fox SNES on the VC because of problems concerning the Super FX chip. Tell me what you think. DZComposer
I doubt there are issues with the super FX in emulation. In case you haven't noticed, SF is not the only notable title missing. It's likely that Nintendo is spreading the releases out so as not to make VC stale three years down the road.
Rapidfire
I think both reasons go hand in hand. The releases of games on the VC are probably timed to be relatively synchronised with new titles in the relevant franchise as a means of stirring interest, thereby turning a profit on two games at once. And since the new titles are obviously not being produced right on top of each other, Nintendo is able to keep the VC from filling up its library so quickly. JediFox
I think he has a point DZComposer. The worst-case scenario for a SFSNES Wii VC version is speed problems with the Super FX emulation.
