ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Have you ever thought of what ethnic groups the different Star Fox characters are from? I can make a sort of guess at some of them. Fox is either Scottish or Irish decent, basically because of his last name. Falco is sort of a stereotypical Italian American from New York. Krystal, judging by her clothes from Adventures, I'd say Central African, maybe a Brazilian Hispanic, or some Polynesian culture. Slippy......well......does he go Dutch? T-Boo
I'd say Wolf is kind of british because of his accent in SF64 but he speaks very differently in assault so...
Sabre
Brits are always the bad guys unless its ww2 in which case germans. I think Leon in 64 was british, due to him being a well spoken nutter. Assault, as with most game, evertone has a plesant north american accent that is inoffencive to most of the worlds civilized populous. Going by 64 and adventures accents, I'd say most of starwolf was british, and Krystal British. I think the cloths in assault are genrally more practical, so it's hard to tell. I'd say german or west europe at least.
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
The Wolf O'Donnell we have now is probably a more darker depiction of a Detroit serial killer. Panther we already know is Spanish. Let's not forget the Warpstone. A big lovable Scottish guy made of stone. Anyone besides me think Krystal comes from a culture that blends Ancient Egypt and the Congo?
Leon_279
I think Wolf is a cross between southern and Irish, because he talks with a slight southern accent, and has an irish last name. Leon could be........American? Panther could be.......eh, who gives a- :leon:
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
What do you think it would be like if Krystal was Japanese? Maybe she would know ninjitsu? Or karate? I watched this video on Youtube that shows Krystal's briefing differences between the North American and Japanese versions of Assault, and the Japanese Krystal sounds cuter. How do you think Krystal would in a kimono or a ninja outfit?

I watched this video on Youtube that shows Krystal's briefing differences between the North American and Japanese versions of Assault, and the Japanese Krystal sounds cuter. How do you think Krystal would in a kimono or a ninja outfit? It's been done in fanart on numerous occasions. I've always thought of Krystal as being Mayan, or some other tribal culture. I agree about Fox being either Scottish or Irish. Falco is of course from New York City. Bill is from California. Katt's from Hollywood

How do you think Krystal would in a kimono or a ninja outfit? I don't think it would work. She would have to be called Klystar for a start. Assigning random and steriotype asian martial arts doesn't really help the character any. I think wolf would know Krav Maga, but generally I think the starfox cast would be more brawlers in that respect. Klystar I think who know Bojutsu or Quarterstaff-ery, or whatever it's called. If adventures is anything to go by, Fox has experiance with one of these styles.

ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Hey, there's nothing wrong with Krystal having a European accent, and a tribal culture. How would Katt be from Hollywood? That doesn't make enough sense.

Mr. Krystal
How would Katt be from Hollywood? That doesn't make enough sense. She's wearing pink make-up all over her fur (see Command). The way she talks is all so glamorous.
Four-eyed Vulpine
I've always imagined Fox as German for some reason. And Wolf O'DONNELL screams Irish. And then there's Krystal's British accent. However, since the British dominated much of the world at some point in time and their culture was spread accordingly, Krystal could come from a variety of places. ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Can you say India? Egypt? Australia?
Sabre
British rule didn't take it's accent. There is a type of english called indian english. It has the word 'only' at the end of certain sentances. "I went to see a film today only." Also, being a different culture, insult impact differs as well.
Leon_279
If Krystal ever says "Banjax" she is an Irish vixen. :leon:
