I mean, having lost 2 of those things to 1 man fighters would have taught them a lesson, wouldn't it? And those things are a TAD bit expensive... I think they'd have switched to the Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer. Here, here's a pic of one: Each one has a Superlaser like a Deathstar, but they're a bit weaker: instead of blowing a planet to kingdom come, they just fragment the surface and leave it lifeless. And they're a lot smaller... so for every Death Star the Empire could build, they could probably make... oh, I'd say 5 or 6 of these things. Hmmm... if they want a nearly Invincible planet killing startship, which is more cost effective? It'd still take a huge fleet to kill one of these things after all, they're bigger than the Executor from The Empier Strikes Back even. And 6 of them? I'd say 6 would be worse than a DeathStar, lol. (Sorry, but I kinda like to nitpick when it comes to Star Wars. Not trying to be mean or anything, trust me, the fic you've been writing and those pics are REALLY good. My final battles were all as I had predicted: Battlefield 1= Total Victory! Battlefield 2= Total Victory! Battlefield 3= Total Victory! Battlefield 4= Total Victory! Battlefield 5= Deffeat Battlefield 6= Truce Key: BattleField =Periods Total Victory (Complete destruction of enemy) =A Victory (Enemy surrenders) =B Truce (No side wins) =C Deffeat (I surrender) =D Total Deffeat (I lose and eliminated) =F I'll try to finish the next Chapter. With the warning of finals I had to study and leave everything. But I'll try to continue with the story as much as I can during this summer vacations, all from my hometown of Puerto Vallarta. This comp-system has a few ploblemes, and Im being rushed!! ********** *Chapter 7* ********** <<<The Invasion on Katina>>> On the base of Katina, the Jaguar fighting squadron had arrived to protect the place from the Imperial invaders. The Tiger fighting squadron was already there, preparing for the fight. In the space around Katina, some Cornerian cruisers prepared to encounter the oncoming Imperial destroyers. But the majority of the Cornerian fleet was protecting the capital planet of Corneria. The small Imperial fleet heading towards Katina was being commanded by Captain Ivath. Captain Ivath was an experienced officer who worked in the Imperial security forces before being promoted to Lord John Edwards Malovichs fleet. The fleet had spotted the Cornerian cruisers protecting the planet. Captain Ivath was on communications with the rest of his fleet: 19 star destroyers, and his ship, a Class-Executor Super Star Destroyers. Captain Ivath- Attention all cruisers: engage the enemy ships before sending the landing transports. Star Destroyer Captain 1- Right away, sir. Engaging enemy now. One after another, the Imperial cruisers engaged directly with the Cornerian cruisers, and at the same time the Cornerians returned fire. The captain of the small Cornerian fleet contacted the commanding officer of the base in Katina. Cornerian Fleet Captain- Sir, the invaders are here! Were doing all we can to stop them, but they are too many! Katina Commander- Hang on, captain! Ill contact Corneria for help! Cornerian Fleet Captain- Please, hurry!! The commander of the Katina base contacted General Pepper to announce the arrival of the Imperials to the planet. Katina Commander- General, the humans are here! We need help, fast! General Pepper- We cant send any more cruisers. The entire fleet has been dispersed all over the system to fight them off. Katina Commander- But we dont know how long is our fleet going to last against the human invaders! General Pepper- Sorry, commander, but we cant send any more cruisers. At that time, the captain of the Cornerian fleet fighting the Imperials near Katina, interrupted their conversation. Cornerian Fleet Captain- Sir, the humans are getting through!! We just cant stop them!! General Pepper- Captain, land your fleet on Katina and defend the base from the ground. Cornerian Fleet Captain and Katina Commander- What?!! General Pepper- You might be able to protect the base from the ground. This humans are invinsible in space, but you might be able to stop them from landing on the area around the base. Cornerian Fleet Captain- Understood, General! Well try our best! The captain of the fleet ended his transmission. General Pepper- Commander, prepare your forces for a possible ground assault. Katina Commander- Yes, sir. The Commander ended his transmission with the General. General Pepper turned to another screen to communicate with the Starfox team, who were on their way to liberate Sauria along with 40 other Cornerian cruisers. General Pepper- Starfox, we have a problem. The human invaders have reached Katina. And unless we dont send any help, theyll fall. Fox was on the bridge of his ship, along with his teammates. Fox- But, General, we are on our way to Sauria! It will take us long to reach Katina! Krystal- No! We must reach Sauria, we must save the dinosaurs! Falco- I dont know your dinosaur friends much, Krystal, but I think we should go to Katina first to prevent it from having the same fate as Sauria. General Pepper- Falco is right. If you dont stop the humans, well have 2 planets to liberate. Krystal- But by the time we reach Sauria, it might be too late! General Pepper- Sorry, Krystal, but something must be done to protect Katina. Fox- Sorry, Krystal, but the General is right. Im really sorry. The Great Fox II and the 40 Cornerian cruisers changed curse towards Katina. The planet of Sauria had to wait for its liberation. Meanwhile, on Earth, the Senate was called by Commander Emerson and the Allied officers to discuss the matter of the Imperial invasion on the Animal Galaxy, and what should be done about it. In the Senate, commander Emerson stood in the same podium were the former allied officer once stood. Commander Emerson- By now, I think, you have all probably heard of the Imperial Republic invading a non-allied galaxy. The senate filled with murmurs and whispers after the commander mentioned the invasion. Commander Emerson- We believe that the former member of the Galactic Alliance, John Edwards Malovich, has joined the Imperials on this invasion. There was unrest in the senate after Emerson mentioned that Edwards Malovich had joined the Empire. One of the senators stood from his seat. Indian Senator- I knew it! I knew we shouldnt have trusted a man like him! Another senator stood from his seat. Korean Senator- But what can be done about the invasion on the non-allied galaxy?! Other senators rouse from their seats. Chinese Senator- I say we help! Now! Russian Senator- We must first organize our forces to bring down the invasion on this non-allied galaxy! Salvadorian Senator- But they are not on the Alliance! Polish Senator- Yes, but if the invasion is not prevented, then the Imperial Republic will have another place from which to attack us! Italian Senator- We most help, at once! German Senator- True! We must send troops to stop this invasion! One after another, the many senators of the chamber agreed with the idea of stopping the invasion on the Lylat System. It was for the security of the Milky Way galaxy, and the neighboring galaxies. Commander Emerson finally spoke. Commander Emerson- We must first give the people the news, and let them vote. If the people agree with helping a non-allied galaxy, well proceed to organize our forces. But if the people dont agree with the idea, then well leave the galaxy to deal with the problem by themselves. Back on the Lylat System, the small Cornerian Fleet that was on Katina had escaped from the Imperial fleet and had landed to prepare for a ground assault. They had joined the many squadrons on Katina to defend the base. They had tanks all around the base, and artillery to take down any enemy siege unit. The Jaguar, Canine and Tiger, Fighting Squadrons were at the ready, with blasters, snipers, and machine guns. In the space around Katina, the small Imperial fleet was all set for the launching of the invasion transports. Captain Ivath contacted the flagship of the Imperial invasion forces, the SSD-108, to inform that the base of Katina would be in Imperial command shortly. Lord Edwards was on the same place where he has always been, looking out the view port as they moved to Corneria. But it was a long way at sub light speed to reach the capital planet. Captain Ivath- Invasion Fleet IIF-3 here: the base on the planet of Katina will be ours in a few minutes. Lord Edwards moved towards communications and replied to Captain Ivath. Lord John Edwards- Understood, Captain Ivath. Where is the Cornerian fleet that you reported earlier? Captain Ivath- They retreated, sir. Obviously they found out that they were no match for the Imperial forces. Lord John Edwards- I dont think they have totally retreated, Captain Ivath. You better be careful on the landing, they might be awaiting your arrival. I suggest you attack them from the air, then proceed to land the transports. Captain Ivath- Will do, sir. We will weaken them from the air, and well proceed to crush them from the ground. The communications between both small fleets ended. Edwards returned to the view port, and Captain Ivath replaced the order to launch the transports for the order to launch fighters. From the 20 star destroyers of the small fleet, thousands of TEP fighters were launched towards Katina. Captain Ivath- Attention all fighters: Your objective is to weaken the planets base enough for the ground forces to land. TEP F S-1 Leader- Understood. Theyll be down in no time. The TEPs made their way towards the planet. In the Katina base, one of the technicians in charge of the scanner saw them coming and gave the news to the commander of the base. Technician- Sir, we have several enemy fighters approaching the planet! Katina Commander- Well, this is it. Prepare the anti-air guns! The tanks outside the base prepared to receive the aerial attackers, and several anti-air guns pointed towards the sky. The TEPs were ready to strike. They only needed to go pass a cloud and they would have total visibility of the base. TEP F S-2 Leader- Were almost there. TEP Pilot 1- Sir, my scanner shows heavy concentrations of ground forces in and around the target. TEP F S-2 Leader- Pay no attention to it. Theyll be nothing more than dust when we finish with them. The TEPs finally had passed the clouds, and had visual contact with their target. But the target, Katina base, could also see the TEP fighters approaching. Almost instantly, the tanks and anti-air guns in and around the base opened fire at the incoming fighters. One after another, the TEP fighters were taken down by the accurate hits from the anti-air guns. The leaders of the TEP squadrons ordered their pilots to break formation and attack. TEP F S-1 Leader- All fighters: split up and attack the base from all directions! TEP F S-2 Leader- Copy that! TEP F S-3 Leader- Were splitting now! The fighters started to move away from each other and scattered around the airspace of the base, but the anti-air guns and tanks kept firing at them. TEP F S-4 Leader- We are ready to attack! TEP F S-1 Leader- Proceed! From the sky, a small group of 10 TEPs came down the sky and opened fire on several anti-air guns. The operators of the guns left their posts just in time before their guns went up in flames. TEP Pilot 2- Sir, there are still several anti-air guns left in the base! TEP F S-4 Leader- Thats why were going again! The TEPs turned around and prepared for a second hit on the other anti-air guns, but the guns were already prepared to counter them. TEP Pilot 3- I have a gun right on target! The guns started to open fire at them, taking half of the fighters of the group down. TEP Pilot 3- Im hit TEP Pilot 4- I cant TEP Pilot 5- We need to break off the attack After their run, the leader of the group called for the rest of the fighters to attack. TEP F S-4 Leader- This is TEP Leader 4: What a heck are you waiting for?! I need help to take down their defenses!! TEP F S-1 Leader- All leaders, attack, now!! All fighters came down towards the base to strike. They were too many for the guns and tanks to take down, and their operators had to leave their posts. The TEPs opened fire on all tanks and guns, blowing them. The Cornerians did all they could to defend the base, but the fighters overwhelmed them. The leader of the TEP strike force contacted the fleet around Katina to inform that the defenses had been taken down. TEP F S-1 Leader- Sir, the defenses around the base have been eradicated. Captain Ivath- Thank you for the report. The captain turned to the officers behind him. Captain Ivath- Start launching the transports. We are striking now. The officers went to the com-links to order the fleet to launch the transports. From the star destroyers, hundreds of heavy transports, loader shuttles, and landing crafts were launched. The transports were on their way towards the base. It was a small-scale attack, compared to the invasion on Sauria. In the Katina base, the commander got news that the invader transports were on their way. Technician- Sir, we spotted many enemy transports approaching! I think they are preparing for a ground assault! Katina Commander- Let them come. We have a surprise waiting for them. The transports started to arrive at the base, when more anti-air guns came out. This time, the guns were computer controlled. The guns opened fire at the transports, taking some of them down. Imperial Transport Captain 1- We have trouble here! They still have defenses! Captain Ivath- Take distance from the base! Land your transports away from the base, and make your way towards it from the ground! Imperial Transport Captain 1- Understood! The transports turned away from the base and landed far enough to escape the fire from the guns. From the heavy transports, AT-ATs and APCs were unloaded and made their way towards the base. The loaders unloaded AT-STs and AT-PTs. And the landing crafts unloaded thousands of soldiers. All of which started to move towards the Katina base. In the base, another technician approached the commander. Technician- Sir, the humans are approaching the base from the ground! Katina Commander- Let them coma again. We still have another surprise for them. The Imperial walkers, which were leading the invasion forces, moved slowly towards the base from the west. From the base, the doors of the west side opened and tanks came out to fight the Imperial walkers. The tanks started to open fire at the AT-ATs, but they kept moving. The AT-ATs returned fire and hit some tanks. Both sides pounded each other with powerful laser blasts, but the Imperial side showed no damage. One of the Cornerian tanks fired at one of the mechanical legs of an AT-AT, and damaged the AT-AT severely. The AT-ATs mechanical leg stopped working and the walker fell. The Cornerian tanks opened fire at the downed walker, blowing it up. The Cornerian forces, now knew how to stop the Imperial AT-ATs. AT-AT Driver 1- Sir, Those things just destroyed one of our armored vehicles!! Captain Ivath- In that case I suggest you increase your efficiency. The Imperial AT-ATs, AT-STs, AT-PTs, and APCs started to open fire towards the Katina base. At the same time, the Cornerian forces returned fire. In the field between the two forces, a web of laser beams and explosions filled the ground with craters. But the Imperial forces moved steadily. While getting closer, one of the AT-STs missed a crater, created by a blast, and tripped on it. The walker fell to the ground and became an easy target for the Cornerian tanks. One of the Cornerian tanks fired a charged blast at the downed Imperial walker. The crew of the AT-ST, which survived the fall, managed to get out of the walker before the blast blew the walker apart. The closer the Imperial forces got, the more losses both sides had. One of the commandos of the Canine Squadron contacted his commander in the base. Canine Commando- Commander, we cant take much more! We have only 50 tanks left of the 200 tanks, and the enemy is getting closer! What should we do?! Katina Commander- Do all you can! Canine Commando- That is the problem! We cant stop the enemys forces with only 50 tanks! *One of the tanks explodes in the background* Sorry 49 tanks!! Katina Commander- Just do what you can! The commander ended transmission with the canine commando and established communications with General Pepper in Corneria. Katina Commander- General, are you there! Please come in! General Pepper was trying to figure a strategy to help stop the invaders when he was contacted. General Pepper turned to the screen and replied. General Pepper- Whats the situation, commander? Katina Commander- Sir, our defenses wont last longer! If help does not arrive soon Ill have to surrender to avoid any further losses!! General Pepper- Just hang on! Ill contact Fox immediately! General Pepper activated a second screen at the side of the screen in which the commander of the Katina base was. He started to establish communications with the Great Fox II and its fleet. General Pepper- Fox, how far from Katina are you?! Fox was checking some readings on one of the screens when the general called. Krystal was sitting on a seat near the view port. She looked kind of sad. Falco and Slippy were on the hangar checking the fighters and adjusting them. Fox went to the screen to respond to the generals question. Fox- Well arrive in 15 minutes, General. General Pepper- Youll need to hurry up! Katina cant last any longer! Fox- But were going as fast as we can! We cant go any faster! General Pepper- Are you sure?! Fox- Yes, General. General Pepper- In that case, return to your original mission. Theres nothing you can do. Fox- Sorry General. Both ended communications. The Great Fox II and its fleet turned once again towards Sauira. General Pepper turned to the other screen, were the commander of the Katina base had heard everything. Katina Commander- So theres nothing you can do? General Pepper- It seems so. Katina Commander- In that case, should I General Pepper- Yes. Surrender your forces. Theres no need to loose any more forces. Katina Commander- Understood. General Pepper- Good luck, commander. The way they talked had a tone of hopelessness. But before ending communications, they gave each other the military salute. Then, their screens turned to static. The commander ordered the surrender of the base to Imperials, which were already within reach of the base. The weary Cornerian Squadrons had lost all but 5 tanks, and they barely had any ammo. The Imperials had lost only 3 AT-ATs, 6 AT-STs, 7 AT-PTs, and 9 APCs. But both sides had suffered heavy casualties. Through the radios and earpieces of the Cornerian commandos, the commander ordered their surrender. Katina Commander- To all Cornerian forces: The enemy is too strong to stop. We have no choice but to surrender. If you want to live to fight another day, then you will surrender. And so they did. As soon as the Cornerians ceased fire, so did the Imperial forces. AT-AT Driver 2- Captain, it seems that the base has surrendered. Captain Ivath- Great. Now, proceed to arrest any one thats left in the base. Give them medical attention if they need it. We need them alive. AT-AT Driver 2- Understood. The Imperial soldiers, with their black uniform and black helmet, seemed strange for some of the Cornerians, which had never seen a human in their lives. As soon as the Imperial soldiers got to the defense line in front of the west wall, defenses that were already broken and had many tanks destroyed, the imperials started to gather the Cornerians into groups. Imperial medics, dressed in white, started to attend the wounded. Imperial walkers had already surrounded the entire base. On all sides of the base, it was the same as in the west side of the wall: Imperials gathering prisoners and medics assisting the wounded. Once the Imperials got inside the walls surrounding the base, Cornerian tank drivers, gunners, mechanics, and commandos awaited them with hands up and weapons on the ground. They were separated depending on their occupation. If they were drivers, they went to the drivers group. If they were mechanics, they went to the mechanics group. They were all gathered within the walls of the base, carefully guarded by Imperial soldiers and walkers. Then, after securing the outsides of the base, the Imperials started to go inside the base. They went into every room and corners of the base, arresting every creature they found. In the command room of the base, the operators were still working in front of their computers. Trying to figure out how many humans were outside. The main entrance of the room opened, and imperials came in shouting the usual hands up. One of the technicians, a female husky, quickly got up and tried to reach for her gun on her side. But the commander graved her hand before she could draw her weapon, and stopped her. Commander- What are you trying to do, get yourself killed? One of the Imperial soldiers reached for her gun and took it away from her. Her commander was still telling her to stop trying to get killed. Commander- Dont do anything foolish. Female Husky Technician- Sorry, sir. They were arrested and sent to the surface along with everyone else that was in the base. The imperials were grouping them for counting. After the commander was led out of the base, he was stunned at seeing that the outside of the base was on ruins. The walls were damaged, the doors were blasted opened, the anti-air guns were nothing more that scrap metal, tanks were burning around the base, and many wounded were still getting treatment. An imperial soldier pushed the commander to keep him moving. They were all separated into their corresponding groups to be counted. Then, after they had finished counting how many prisoners they had, the Imperials would lock them in their own prisons within the base. Captain Ivath got the news that the base had given up and that the base was finally on imperial control. Ivath was pleased for such news. Now, the next step could begin: The take-over of the planet. But to do so, he needed to report the news to Lord John Edwards and ask for authorization. Edwards was in the same place he had been since the arrival of the Imperial Forces to the system. He didnt sleep or eat much. Each time one of his officers told him to eat something or get some rest, he would just tell them he wasnt tired or hungry. He was consumed by his own quest for revenge. He would stop at nothing to get his revenge. One of the men in charge of communications called for Edwards. It was Alan who had called for Edwards. Edwards turned from the view port and went to where he was called. Lord John Edwards- I hope youre well rested this time. What is it? Operator Alan- Captain Ivath, sir. Edwards turned to the screen to hear the news that Ivath was about to say. Lord John Edwards- What is it, captain? Captain Ivath- Lord Edwards, we have control of the base on the planet they call Katina, sir. I need permission to proceed with the take-over of the planet. Lord John Edwards- Permission granted, captain. Captain Ivath- I shall proceed, my lord. Captain Ivath was about to end his transmission, when Edwards called him. Lord John Edwards- One more thing, Captain Ivath. Captain Ivath- Yes, my lord? Lord John Edwards- You havent eliminated the beasts of the base, havent you? Captain Ivath- Well, my lord, it is better if we keep them alive and well just in case of a Lord John Edwards- Kill them all. Captain Ivath- But, sir, we might need them in the case of Lord John Edwards- I said kill them! Captain Ivath- Sir, we might need them! Lord John Edwards- For what purpose, Captain Ivath? What purpose could these pathetic creatures serve for us? Captain Ivath- Well, sir, if the galaxy of this creatures find out of our presence, we might need them for exchanges. Lord John Edwards- I dont do deals with this blood-thirsty creatures, captain. Captain Ivath- Well, if the Alliance knows of our invasion, they might come to prevent us from killing these creatures. So, why not keep them alive to prove that we mean no harm to these creaturesthat we just want the system. Beside, this is inhumane. Ivath was just trying to think of a way to keep the prisoners alive. He thought they might be of some use in the future. Besides, Ivath didnt have the cruelness of Edwards. Like many in the Empire, Ivath only carried orders. The penalty for traitors was something severe. Edwards couldnt find any structure to what he was saying. Lord John Edwards- That sound like a weak man talking, captain Ivath. But I have no time for this conversation. You may keep them alive. They could be of some use. Captain Ivath- Thanks, my lord. Ivath ended transmissions with Edwards. Lord John Edwards- I think Ivath has gotten soft, dont you think? Edwards was talking to Alan, the operator. Alan just nodded and made as if he agreed with Edwards. Operator Alan - Oh, yeah. Soft. Very soft. Lord John Edwards- Get to work. Operator Alan - Yes, sir. Edwards went back to the view port. One of the other operators to the right of Ivan whispered to him. It was Daniel, a friend of Ivan since the Academy. Operator Daniel- I think hes lost it. Ivan replied whispering. Operator Alan - Lost it? When did he even had it? Operator Daniel- Good point. Do you think this attack has anything to do with expanding the Empire? Operator Alan- I have no idea. This galaxy is way too far from the Imperial center. Operator Daniel- I think this lord is crazy. Operator Alan- I know. Operator Daniel- What kind of officer would order a fleet to attack an entire galaxy? Lord John Edwards- The same kind of officer that would throw a big-mouthed operator into space. Edwards said in a voice that everyone could hear. He said it without turning away from the view port. Even though Alan and Daniel were far on the other side of the control room and were whispering, Edwards was able to hear them in the noisy room. Both Alan and Daniel silenced for a few moments. Then they both apologized for the comments, even though no one knew why they were apologizing. No one heard them but Edwards. Back on Katina, the Imperial fleet had dispersed around the planet. Please... patience! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ********** *Chapter 8* ********** <<<The Invasion on Fortuna>>> In Earth, the senators and officers of the system and the Alliance got together again. They had already counted the votes for the intervention and protection of the Animal Galaxy. The chamber was loud and noisy. Many of the senators were impatient to know if they would get ready for liberation, or ready for a deception. When Commander Emerson got to the podium, the chamber came to a silence. Commander Emerson- The votes have been counted. And the numbers are 17 to 83 The chamber was still silent. The senators were waiting to hear if the count had been in favor or against the idea of sending men to help a non-allied galaxy. Commander Emerson- in favor of helping the non-allied galaxy. As soon as Emerson said in favor the senators and officers applauded and some cheered. Commander Emerson- With this known, I advice you to get your fleets ready to assist the galaxy repeal Imperial invasion. Chinese Senator- Well be ready in 12 hours. American Senator- Do we have a time set to sent the fleet? Commander Emerson- We dont have a time set. But help must be sent as fast a possible. Russian Senator- Well send our best forces to engage the Imperial forces first. Japanese Senator- This Imperials bring nothing but shame to humanity. Spanish Senator- Enough talk. We should be getting our forces ready to help. Commander Emerson- Right. You may leave now to take care of the fleet organization. The senators left their seats and the building. They boarded their transports that would take them to their nations. Hundreds of transports took off to many directions. Each transport had the flag of its nation on the side of the wings and the fuselage. This transports looked much alike the Imperial Loader Shuttles, but they were more cubic. The Imperial Loader Shuttles were more round. In the Lylat System, the Starfox team had just received news that Katina was under Imperial control. It was all over the news channels. The Great Fox II was still on its way towards Sauria, along with its Cornerian fleet. But at the same time, another Imperial fleet was on its way to Fortuna, were another base was located. In this base, the White Tiger Fighting Squadron, the Husky Fighting Squadron and the White Fox Fighting Squadrons were prepared to encounter the Imperial forces. Around Fortuna, a fleet of 60 Cornerian Cruisers was protecting the planet. But they barely had any enthusiasm or hopes in that defense of the base would be successful. Since they heard that the Katina base, and its planet, had fallen to Imperial forces, they were nervous to encounter these humans. But many thought that they could take them down. They were perfect for the conditions of the planet. Their fur helped them against the cold, icy temperature and they could camouflage easily with their surroundings. They wore a white uniform to help them blend with the ice and snow. Like in Katina, anti-air guns were set all around the base. Tanks were guarding every meter of the icy plains along with thousands of white tigers, foxes and huskies. But, unlike Katina, the Fortuna base didnt had any walls surrounding the base. Thats why they had built trenches around the base: to have a place to cover, and to stop the advance of the Imperial Walkers they had heard of in the radios and news sent from Katina before its surrender. The Imperial Invasion Fleet approaching Fortuna consisted of 39 Star Destroyers and 1 Class-Executor Super Star Destroyer. This fleet was in command of Captain Ivan, brother of Captain Ivath. Ivan entered the academy at the same time as his brother, but they did so upon orders. They were drafted at the age of 18. Once in the Empire, theres no way out. Ivan used to command a small group of 8 Escort Carriers before being assigned to Lord John Edwards Malovichs Fleet. Unlike Ivath, Ivan was brainwashed by the academy, he believed everything the Empire told him. He became a tool rather that a human, a robot that would follow every order given to him, no matter how cruel the order was. If the Emperor had ordered Ivan to invade or destroy his own home planet, he would have done it. The Imperial Academy was a form of brainwashing recruits. A very small number of men would complete the academy and not have been affected by the brainwash. Only 1 out of 100,000 was able to resist the teachings of the academy. The brainwash was nothing more than officers telling you that everyone was against you and that the only way to survive in the universe was if the Empire expanded, and by expanding the Empire, they would ensure their survival. The usual We are right, they are wrong, we are the strong, they are the weak, we are the good ones, they are the evil ones thing. Ivans fleet was closer to Fortuna and he was able to see the Cornerian fleet. Ivan Contacted Lord Edwards to announce that he was within the reach of the planet. Captain Ivan- My Lord, were in position. The planet is right ahead. But it is being protected by the local forces. Nothing we should worry about, but I just wanted to report it, Sir. Lord John Edwards- Good. You may begin your attack when ready. Captain Ivan- Yes my lord, as you wish. Lord John Edwards- One more thing: Be gentle with this creatures. Try not to kill them all. I think your brother might be on to something. Captain Ivan- Probably trying to look good. Ivath was always the weak one. Always thinking of others, protecting the weak, and protecting honor. Lord John Edwards- Please, I dont like to see family attacking family. Have some respect for your own blood. Captain Ivan- Pardon me, my lord. It wont happen again. Lord John Edwards- I sure hope so. Now, get with the plan. Captain Ivan- Yes, my lord. Lord John Edwards- And one more thing. Captain Ivan- Yes, my lord? Lord John Edwards- You may do all necessary to achieve victory, without consulting me. Captain Ivan- Thanks my lord. Lord John Edwards- But, remember I want as many creatures alive as possible. Captain Ivan- Yes, my lord. Ivan ended communications with Lord Edwards. Edwards fleet was still moving slowly towards Corneria, but right now, Ivans fleet was a major problem. The Cornerian fleet around Fortuna had finally spotted the oncoming Imperial fleet. Hundreds and hundreds of Cornerian fighters were launched to stop the enemy. At the same time, the Imperials were launching TEPs. In the Fortuna base, the officer in command of the installations was watching the scanners. Even though the Cornerians outnumbered the Imperials, their cruisers had very powerful shields, packed great firepower, and could carry a large amount of fighters. The Imperials had improved many of their technologies. A huge space battle was in progress in the space above the Fortuna base. Fighters of both sides were blasting one another. The space was filled with the glow of the blasts, explosions, cruisers of both sides, debris and battling fighters. The cruisers did not stood away from the battle. Imperial cruisers were trying to break through the Cornerian line, but the Cornerians would not move an inch. The Star Destroyers had to break their attempts to avoid a head-on collision with the Cornerian cruisers. Both sides stood strong, loosing many fighters every second. Onboard of the command ship of the Cornerian fleet, the officer in charge of the defense of Fortuna was looking at the battle from the command bridge. The officer was a black male tiger. He was watching with a sense of helplessness at seeing his pilots being blown-up in space. A female technician, a gray husky, came to the officer. Husky Technician- Sir, Officer Husk wants to know how were doing. The officer looked at her and replied in a low, deep growling voice. Tiger Officer- How does it seems? *sighs* Were loosing many good pilots out there. I dont know how much my men can take. In the communication channels, a Captain of one of the Cornerian cruisers could be heard yelling. Cornerian Cruiser Captain- One of their cruisers is moving towards us!!! Our shields cannot take much more!!! We need help!!! An Imperial Star Destroyer could be seen getting too close to a Cornerian cruiser. The Imperial cruiser was concentrating all of its firepower on the Cornerian cruiser. The Captain of the Cornerian cruiser yelled through the com-channels again. Cornerian Cruiser Captain- Theyre too close!!! Shields down!!! Repeat: we just lost our shields!!! Aaaaah!!! The tiger officer saw the Cornerian cruiser blowing-up from the view-port of the command bridge. The Imperial Cruisers were attacking their lines of defenses. Cornerian cruisers were starting to suffer damages. The tiger officer turned to the husky technician. Tiger Officer- Tell Officer Husk that we are suffering massive losses! Husky Technician- Yes, sir. The female husky technician went to carryout her orders. The tiger officer went to one of the com-links. Tiger Officer- Attention all fighters: engage the enemys cruisers! Do all possible to stop them! Repeat: engage the enemys cruisers! Tiger Pilot 1- You got it, chief! OK, boys ATTACK!! Several Cornerian fighters, still under pursue by TEP Fighters, went after the Imperial cruisers. The Cornerian fighters flew right pass the Imperial cruisers, releasing a rain of blasts from the rear of the Star Destroyers, then, turning and attacking from the front. Tiger Pilot 2- Those ships are very shielded!! Tiger Pilot 1- Just keep firing! They went passed the cruisers again. TEPs Fighters were all over them after their second run on the Star Destroyers. TEP Pilot 1- I have one right on target. Tiger Pilot 3- They are all over us!! The TEPs fired at the Cornerians with deadly results. Tiger Pilot 3- Im hit!! Tiger Pilot 4- I cant Aaaargh!!! Several Cornerians were shot and blown. Star Destroyers were still moving towards the Cornerian cruisers. In Corneria, General Pepper was in communication with Officer Husk from Fortuna. Officer Husk- The reports from our fleet are alarming. I dont know how long will they last. General Pepper- If things get worst, you might have to surrender to them to avoid bigger casualties. Officer Husk- Surrender?! Never! I refuse to surrender to this humans! General Pepper- Losses might be higher if you dont Officer Husk interrupted the General. Officer Husk- I am willing to die rather than being a prisoner of the humans! And Im sure my forces think the same! General Pepper- Husk, dont be a fool! Many will die if you Officer Husk abruptly cuts his communications with General Pepper. An intelligence agent, a male squirrel with black uniform, was at the side of the General. Intelligence Agent- I think hes not going to surrender. General Pepper- Im afraid so. There will be massive losses if the battle keeps moving forward. *Moves to see com-scan screens* Our entire Starfleet has dispersed all over the Lylat System to try to stop the humans from taking over vital areas: Sector X, Sector Y, Sector Z, Aqua, Macbeth, Titania, and even Venom. All under attack by the humans. *Turns to intelligence agent* So, what did they said? Intelligence Agent- Well, the galactic government says that help is being organized. Several animal armadas are on their way to here, or so they said. General Pepper- Did they said if other parts of the galaxy are under attack? Intelligence Agent- There are no other areas under attack, sir. It seems that we are the only one. General Pepper- The only ones under attack? Intelligence Agent- Yes, sir. General Pepper- Some how *sighs* I think that the incident with the transports, years ago, plays a role in all of these. Intelligence Agent- It could be a possibility. General Pepper- Return to work. We have a system to defend. Back in the space around Fortuna, were the battle was getting even more intense, the tiger officer had received orders from Officer Husk. The bridge of the command ship of the Cornerian defense fleet rumbled as the ship was in direct confrontation with a Star Destroyer. Officer Husk- Whats your status? Tiger Officer- We are being hit hard. We have lost 15 cruisers so far, and many pilots. Officer Husk- What about the invaders? Tiger Officer- They have lost many fighters as well, but they havent lost any cruiser. At the rate this is going, the enemy will have victory in 2 to 5 hours. Officer Husk- *sighs* Order your pilots out of there; retreat to the base. Were going to have to defend the base from the surface. Tiger Officer- But isnt that how the Katina base fell? Officer Husk- Only because they where not prepared. Now, land your fleet, so that you can be given new orders. Tiger Officer- Yes, sir. Both ended communications. The tiger officer established communications with his forces. Tiger Officer- Attention all forces: retreat to the Fortuna base. Repeat: retreat to the Fortuna base! Husky Pilot 1- Whats the deal? Tiger Pilot 1- I hope he has a plan. All Cornerian fighters and cruisers retreated towards the Fortuna base. From the command bridge of the SSD-650, Captain Ivan was watching as the Cornerians retreated. An officer, who was watching the battle alongside Ivan, observed as they retreated. Officer- They are retreating. Captain Ivan- Humph Cowards. Ivan turns to the officer. Captain Ivan- Send the fighters after them, bombers to attack their base, and the ground forces for the take-over. Officer- Were not going to ask Lord Edwards for orders? Captain Ivan- You heard Lord Edwards: I can do all necessary to achieve victory, without consulting him. Officer- Yes, sir. Your orders will be carried. The officer retreated to carryout Ivans orders. TEPs, bombers and transports were sent towards the planet. The Imperial cruisers were now moving to secure the space above the Fortuna base. In the Fortuna base, tanks were all around the base. In the trenches, the White Tiger Fighting Squadron, the Husky Fighting Squadron and the White Fox Fighting Squadrons were at the ready. Several anti-air guns were prepared to repeal any kind of aerial attack. In the command center of the base, officer Husk and the black tiger officer from the Cornerian defense fleet were watching the scanners as the TEPs approached the landing sector to destroy the remaining Cornerian cruisers on the ground. In another screen, bombers could be detected approaching the base, and behind the bombers, heavy landing transports, landing crafts, and loader shuttles could be seen moving slowly towards the base as well. Tiger Officer- This doesnt seem to be good. If they destroy the remaining cruisers, well have no way of escaping. Officer Husk- Escaping?! I dont think so. Anti-air guns surround your remaining cruisers. So, no enemy fighter can get any closer to the cruisers. Tiger Officer- I hope so. Both officers turn to the big main screen in front of the room, where the overview of the base is being displayed. Tiger Officer- So, whats your plan to defend the base from the ground? Officer Husk- Youll see soon enough. Tiger Officer- May I remind you that the Katina base did the same, and they are now under human control. Officer Husk- Only because they did not have the technology we have: better and more accurate anti-air guns, more shielded tanks with more accurate firepower and better range, better blasters and rifles, and far more soldiers. And lets not forget that our forces are better trained, they can camouflage with the snow, and are better built for this conditions than the humans. And, besides, the Katina base surrendered to the humans. Thats something we wont repeat! Tiger Officer- But, because they surrendered, most of them are alive and well. The only thing left to do there is to start a liberation run and free them along with the planet. Officer Husk- I wont surrender, and thats final! Now, go to the fronts and ready our forces! Tiger Officer- Yes sir. The tiger officer left the room to go to the front lines and prepare for a possible ground assault. Meanwhile, Officer Husk was very overconfident that his plan would work. In the landing area, where the Cornerian cruisers were sitting, several alarms sounded as the TEPs came into view in the horizon. The anti-air guns started to turn towards the incoming TEP fighters, ready to fire. The TEP squad leaders had no idea of what was about to happen. TEP F S-1 Leader- Targets right ahead. Get ready to attack. TEP Pilot 1- My scanner is not showing the cruisers. I think our systems are being jammed! TEP F S-1 Leader- No time to worry about it now! Were in attack range now! The TEPs were already close enough to attack. But as soon as the TEPs got closer, the anti-air guns started to open fire. In the first fire, 10 percent of the TEPs were blown out of the skies. They were just too many anti-air guns. TEP F S-2 Leader- They have several guns in and around the landing sector!! The guns went for another round of fire, taking many more TEPs off the skies. TEP Pilot 2- I cant take it. TEP Pilot 3- Theyre too accurate!! I cant. The leader of the TEPs squad had to report that they would need to take out the guns before any aerial attack is to take place. The TEP Squad leader contacted Ivan to report that the attack on the grounded Cornerian cruisers was impossible with so many guns pointing and firing at them. Captain Ivan was on one of the com-links when the TEP squad leader established his transmissions. TEP F S-1 Leader- Sir, we have problems taking out those cruisers!! Captain Ivan moved closer to the com-link to hear better, due to the loud battle noise in which the TEPs were. Captain Ivan- What is it? TEP F S-1 Leader- The entire landing sector is surrounded by powerful anti-air guns!! We cant get any closer to their cruisers!! Captain Ivan- Go after the guns! Try to take them out! TEP F S-1 Leader- Its impossible to get any closer to the guns! The closer we get, the more accurate they are!! All around the landing sector, fighters were taken down by the blasts of the guns. TEP F S-1 Leader- Were losing many men in here!! We need backup! Repeat: we need back. It was too late for even the leader of the TEP squad to escape the deadly fire from the anti-air guns. All TEPs around the landing sector were now destroyed. The landing sector was, by now, secured. Captain Ivan heard, with deception, as the status from the landing sector were coming in. In the command room of the Fortuna base, Officer Husk was satisfied with the defense of the landing sectors. That meant that the humans could be defeated. But, right now, they had other problems to attend to; the bombers and transports were approaching the perimeter of the base. In the trenches around the base, the tiger officer could hear the loud engines of the bombers. From the horizon, the bombers came into view. The tiger officer wasted no time and ordered the tanks to target them and open fire as soon as the bombers were in range. Tiger Officer- Tank crews: prepare to receive our human guests with all we have! The tanks had visual confirmation of the bombers, but so did the bombers. The leader of the bombing squad could see many tanks, trenches, anti-air guns, and the Fortuna base. Bomber S-1 Leader- This is it, men! Prepare to bomb them! All bombers were ready to bombard the area, but the tanks attack fired first. One after another, the bombers were falling out of the skies. Never-the-less, the bombers did not turned. Bomber S-1 Leader- All bombers: stay on target! Repeat: do not disengage! The tanks were still bringing many of the bombers down. Then, the anti-air guns started to open fire. Now, even more bombers were taken down. Bomber Pilot 1- They are way too many.!! Bomber Pilot 2- Too much fire.!! Bomber Pilot 3- Its impossible to avoid their fire.!! The leader of the bombing runs made a desperate contact with Captain Ivan for orders of retreat. Bomber S-1 Leader- Captain, I dont think we can make it through!! We need to break the attack!! Repeat: we need to break the.!! Captain Ivan was now very uneasy. From the back, the Imperial transports watched as the bombers in the very front of them were being shot down till no bomber was in the air. One of the officers of the transports contacted Ivan to report the losses. Transport Officer- Sir, the wave of bombers has failed!! Were now vulnerable!! Captain Ivan- Understood. Break the attack and land far from their defenses. Deploy all ground forces for a ground assault. Transport Officer- Right away sir! Both officers ended communications. The transports began to turn away just in time; one of the tanks had a transport in range, but it turned before the tank could fire. In the SSD-650, an officer approached Ivan. Officer- Sir, they have far many tanks and ground defenses. We cannot possibly sustain a siege on them for very long. Ivan turned to the officer. Captain Ivan- We cannot sustain a ground siege with them having too many defenses. But, we can lay siege on them from space. Officer- Of course! Captain Ivan turned to the man at his side. Captain Ivan- Lieutenant, prepare the destroyer for a siege! And order the rest of the fleet to do so as well! Lieutenant- Yes, sir. Captain Ivan- It is time we demonstrate the full power of the Imperial Fleet. One after another, the Star Destroyers positioned for a siege over the Fortuna base. In the base, the tiger officer was reporting the advances of the defenses and the retreat of the Imperial transports. Tiger Officer- Sir, the bombers have been destroyed and the humans have retreated. Officer Husk- Great job, officer. Now, get ready for the ground attackers. Tiger Officer- Yes, sir. Were all set now. But, what they didnt know was that the star destroyers were getting ready to bombard the landing sector and the base, from space. Then again, sorry in advance. ____________________________________________________________ ********** *Chapter 9* ********** <<<Siege on Fortuna>>> The TEP Fighters had failed on their attempt to destroy the Cornerian cruisers in the landing site of the Fortuna base and the landing crafts had to break their advance to the Fortuna base after their air support of bombers was destroyed. It seemed as if the attack on Fortuna could be stopped. But no one in the base realized that in space the star destroyers were getting ready to bombard the base. Officer Husk was sure that the invasion would be successfully repealed. But in the other hand, the tiger officer started to have a weird feeling. One of the many soldiers in the defense line was looking at the enemy landing site through his visors. He saw no movement at all: the landing craft were not deploying their units, the loader shuttles landed along with their cargo boxes without unloading, and the heavy transports sat still without opening the cargo area. The soldier looked for his officer to share his concerns, but the only officer who was around was Officer Blacker, the tiger officer. Fox Trooper- Sir! Officer Blacker was looking at his wrist-com for information about the enemy. No info about the humans was found though. The officer turned to the trooper who had called for him. Officer Blacker- Yes. Fox Trooper- I dont see any activity by the enemy yet. Do you think they might be planning something? Officer Blacker- I dont think so I KNOW so. In space, the star destroyers were all set to bombard the surface of the planet. Captain Ivan seemed impatient for the bombardment to begin. Looking at the readouts of the screen in the bridge, he ordered the bombardment to begin. Captain Ivan- Gentlemen, begin the bombardment. Lieutenant- Yes sir. The order was given. One after another, the destroyers started to fire at the base. In the base, Officer Husk noticed something in one of the screens. The screen showed the destroyers and green flashes of light coming from their bottom. Officer Husk had no idea that his standoff had started a space siege. From the trenches, Officer Blacker noticed several beams of green lights in the sky above them. He knew they were in trouble. No one knew what those beams of light were, but it would be too late when they had finally figured it out. The beams moved slowly, but when they hit they will be as accurate and powerful as the designers of the cannons had expected. Tiger Trooper- What the hay is that?! One of the troopers in the trenches wondered while the beams got closer. Officer Blacker sensed danger coming, and ordered his troops to enter the trenches and cover. Officer Blacker- Everyone, to the trenches and cover!!! Everyone did so. And just as the last trooper got to the trenches the first beam hit the barracks. Another beam hit the landing area, blowing up one of the cruisers. Officer Husk- What the heck was that?!! Husk asked while the hits kept coming, rocking the entire place. Computers falling, screens falling from the wall, panels breaking loose from the walls and the lights going on and off. On the radio, an officer in the building above was reporting heavy damages. Officer- Sir, theres fire in the landing area, the barracks are on fire!!! Were being shot from space!! the south part of the base is completely leveled, the shields cannot be activated they hit the generator building!!! We must evacuate at once, before!!! In the background, a female operator was heard screaming to the officer in the radio. Female Operator- Sir, look!!! Officer- What a f. The communications were abruptly cut. Then, an incredible explosion rocked the underground control room. Officer Husk tried to contact with the top building. Officer Husk- Hello?!! Please respond!! Come in, officer, come in!!! But there was no answer. Only static could be heard. In the trenches it was different. Every single hit could be seen, heard and felt. The hits of the beams felt so close that it felt as if someone was punching your chest and back with boxing gloves with full power even if the blast occurred in the opposite side if the base, which was kilometers away. Officer Blacker was motionless, covering his ears to protect them from the horrible strength of the explosions. So were the rest of the creatures in the trenches. Blacker finally moved from where he was and reached for the radio to contact with Officer Husk and talk about maybe surrender to avoid more casualties. While moving through the trench, a beam fell right on the opposite side of the trench sending troopers and debris flying out of the trenches. Blacker tried making the radio work, but it was useless; the radio was damaged. Tiger Officer Blacker was loosing hope when they stopped. The beams had stopped. There was nothing but silence. Captain Ivan had ordered the bombardment to stop to contact the base to see if they were ready to surrender. Ivan moved from the view-port to radio control. Captain Ivan- Contact them. Its time to see if they are ready to surrender. The operator set the coordinates and established communications. In the base, Husk was helping the injured operators and officers in the control room when the communication came through. Commander Ivan in screen- *in calm voice* Attention beasts, this is Captain Ivan from the mighty Galactic Empire. You have now witnessed the power of my fleet. If you surrender now I will have mercy on all of you. If you do not surrender there will be nothing left of you to even fill a 10-ounce bottle. So think it well. You have only 2 minutes. Captain Ivan over and out. Husk was furious to even consider surrendering to the human invaders, so he didnt even talked about it with the other officer in the control room. Husk just kept moving pieces of metal away to reach the ones trapped below them. On board the SSD-650, The time for the Fortuna base to surrender had passed. One of the officer approached Ivan. Officer- Sir, their times up. Ivan turned right to the operator. Captain Ivan- Contact the base. Again, the operator set for the transmissions. Officer- What if they dont surrender? The officer asked to the Captain. Captain Ivan- Then, we will take them over by force. Officer- But Lord Edwards said to keep as many alive as possible. Captain Ivan- Yes, but while the fleet was bombarding the base I ordered the ground forces to move into position and wait for my orders to take over. They wont fire lasers. I ordered them to use paralyzers. The beam will knock them unconscious, not kill them. Officer- OK sir. Ill await for further orders. The officer exit the command room. The operator informed Ivan that everything was ready for transmission. Ivan proceeded to send the transmission. Back in the control room of the base, Husk was helping to get a vixen out of the metallic ruble when Ivans transmission arrived. Captain Ivan in screen- *in calm voice* I hope you have come to a decision and the right one. Officer Husk- Yes I have reached a decision. And the answer is no. Husk responded with a mad tone. Captain Ivan in screen- Well then you asked for it. Communications ended. Husk was outraged. In the SSD-650, Ivan looked out the view-port for a short time and then turned to one of the officers and nodded. Captain Ivan- You may give the ground forces the order to move in! In the trenches, many were still confused. Officer Blacker tried to get out of the trench when an Imperial Navy Trooper pointed at him with a blaster. Behind the Imperial trooper there where more troopers plus walkers, APC, and moving stations. The Cornerians that could still fight tried to reach for their weapons, but Blacker stopped them. Officer Blacker- Leave your weapons boys. Theres no need to loose any more soldiers. Blacker surrendered to the Imperials. With his hands up, Blacker was taken out of the trench along with his troops. The wounded where taken to the mobile medical unit transport, and the ones that couldnt even move were treated by the Imperial medics. Blacker tried to resist, but he couldnt hold the temptation to look back at the base and turned. He was surprised for what he saw. The Landing area was reduced a field of craters. The cruisers that were there were in flames, and the buildings were totally in ruble. The tanks and anti-air guns were destroyed. There was a huge fire in the building just above the underground control room where Officer Husk was still helping the poor vixen trapped under the metallic ruble. That was the building from which a Cornerian officer had reported the damage of the base when the communications went off. But the sight of the material damage didnt bothered Blacker at all. It was the losses of life that set Blacker off. Totally furious for the losses, Blacker roared and hit one of the Imperial troopers that was about to put cuffs on him. 3 Imperial Troopers tried to control the furious tiger officer with no results. Blacker sent 2 of the troopers flying and punched the other one. One of the Imperial ground officers finally shot a paralyzer blast at Blacker, but it was not enough. Blacker only flinched and punched the Imperial officer. Several blasts where needed to put down the furious beast. Blacker was unconscious. The paralyzer setting of the blasters of the Empire was a new one. It was originally taken from the weapons of the New Alliance, after the need for a non-lethal way to stop Allied Spies without having to kill them to extract information from them. The paralyzer setting was designed to paralyze, not kill. The paralyzer blast is easily recognized by its light blue color. Several groups of Imperial troopers moved into the buildings to help or take out anyone that might still alive inside. One of these groups moved down into the underground base. Officer Husk had finally managed to take the trapped vixen out of the ruble. One of the operators, a wolf, took her arm and placed it around his neck to get her out of the place. Husk was walking towards the scanners, which were off-line, when the group of Imperial Troopers entered the control room. When Husk saw them, he immediately took his gun and shot the first Imperial that came in. The Imperials behind started to shoot to paralyze. Husk managed to dodge the blast. But that blast that was meant for him hit the poor vixen that was being helped by the wolf. The wolf reached for his blaster, but he was shot before he could even point the blaster towards the humans. Husk took cover behind one of the huge database computers and ordered anyone who was still in the control room to return fire. The blasts went back and forth, hitting the already damaged segments of the metallic walls exposing the wiring and burning the internal systems. After much fight, Husk was surrounded. Seeing that he was the only one left in the room and that he had ran out of ammo, Husk charged at the humans. One of the Imperials was about to shoot him, but Husk got him first. Husk sunk his fangs in the throat of the unfortunate human and pressured until the throat of the human popped. Finally, it took 3 paralyzing blasts to take the husky officer down. Husks uniform was covered in blood, but it wasnt his blood. It was his victims blood that had stained the shirt of the husky officer. Everyone that was down in the control room was taken out and grouped in the surface for the counting. With the defeat of Officer Husk and the news of the victory reaching to Ivan, the takeover was complete. Fortuna was officially in the power of the Empire. ________________________________________________________ *********** *Chapter 10* *********** <<< We Finally Meet.>>> The loss of the Fortuna base was a hard hit to General Pepper and the Lylat System. Civilians were now being evacuated to other parts of the Animal Galaxy. So many parts of the system were already under the control of the Galactic Empire Republic. Fichina fell at the same time that Fortuna. But, in the battle for Fichina, more Imperials were killedmostly because of the cold weather. When the officers at Fichina saw that their troops could not take on the Imperial armored transports, they evacuated the planet and deactivated the climate control systems. The deactivation of this vital system was seen necessary to stop the humans from taking over the planet. Almost instantly, after the deactivation of the climate control systems, the Imperial armored transports and the crews and troops within froze to death. Since the Imperials did not have control of the climate control center, control of the planet was impossible. The planet was cold enough to freeze any landing transport that entered the atmosphere. The Imperial forces had to abandon their attempts for the Fichina takeover. The humans had control of almost 50% of the Lylat Systemand still gaining territory. General Pepper was alarmed at the incredible rate the Empire was taking over. The help that was suppose to arrive from other parts of the Galaxy was not there yet. And the Allied fleet, sent from the Solar System, was still light-years awaybut they were the only hope that Lylat had, even though the Cornerians had no idea they would be coming. At last! The Starfox team, along with Cornerian cruisers, was finally close to Sauria. Krystal, who was in the bridge of the Great Fox II, felt great sadness at seeing the suffering planet in control of the evil humans. She felt the suffering of each and every creature in the concentration camps set in the planet by the Imperials. Tears of despair could be seen running down from her eyes. Fox finally showed in the bridge and saw her. Fox walked to Krystal and tried to ease her pain. Fox McCloud- Krystal theyll pay for what theyve done. Right now, we need to fight the invaders off the planet. Krystal- I should have done something about this. I felt they were coming. And now Sauria is suffering. Fox McCloud- Dont blame yourself. We werent prepared before. But now we are. And we will take them out. Krystal wiped the tears off her cheek and looked at Sauria again. Krystal- Yes. We will take them out. All of them! A communication came through to the Great Fox II. It was one of the officers from one of the Cornerian cruisersa black fox. Fox Officer- Starfox, a grout of enemy cruisers has detected us! 5 enemy cruisers are coming this way in attack position! Falco entered the bridge during the officers report. Falco- Only 5 cruisers against 41 cruisers?! Theyre crazy if they think they can take 41 Cornerian cruisers all by themselves! Fox Officer- Theyre launching fighters!! Fox McCloud- Ok, officer, sent your fighters against their fighters and engage those cruisers with your cruisers. Well go to the planets surface to secure a landing area. Fox Officer- Copy that. Take care sir. Fox McCloud- We will. The Great Fox II started for the planet while the Cornerian fighters engaged the TEPs and the cruisers engaged into a cruiser-to-cruiser battle. But as the Great Fox II made a run for the planet, 2 Imperial cruisers broke from the main group and blocked the path of Foxs ship. Slippy- Oh no!! Theyre trying to cut us!! ROB- Warning, warning! The enemy is sending fighters against us!! Warning, warning!! And as ROB said, several fighters were launched from the 2 star destroyers in front of the Great Fox II. Fox knew that getting through those star destroyers wouldnt be easy. And with the TEPs way too close, he had to take a decision. Fox McCloud- Ok, team. Were going out there and defend the ship from those fighters! Slippy- But isnt that how we had to retreat in the first place? Krystal- I dont care how many of them are out there or what they do to me!! I will not go back!! Slippy had never seen Krystal this furious before, so he kept his silence. Falco- You heard the lady, Slippy. Lets go! They all ran to the hangar and went for their fighters. Each one boarded their Arwings. Fox- Team lets get them!! Falco- Right behind you, Fox! Slippy- Well show them not to mess with us! Krystal- Lets fight them! *Lowers voice* And this time there will be no mercy. The Arwings approached the TEPs, avoiding their fire till being close enough to tail them while the Great Fox II went around the star destroyers. Krystal increased her speed and shot the first TEP. One after another after another and after another, Krystal shot TEP by TEP by TEP. Fox got behind a TEP and was ready to open fire when Krystal came dangerously close to Foxs Arwing and shot the Imperial down. Falco and Slippy were right behind a group of 4 TEPs when Krystal fired from the back of Falco and Slippys Arwingsmissing their Arwing by inches! But hitting each TEP from the group with surprising accuracy. Fox, Falco and Slippy were speechless at seeing Krystal engaging the enemy fighters so aggressively. It seemed as if Krystal had a dark side and it was coming to the surface. Krystal positioned her Arwing behind a TEP. The pilot tried to frenetically shake her off, but it was useless. TEP Pilot 1- Sir, I got one right behind me!! Krystal fired a missile at the TEP. The human didnt even got a chance to scream. Fox had shot down 12 TEPs so far. Falco shot down 10. Slippy had shot 5. But Krystal she had shot 19no wait 20wait 22Oh wait 25Oh well she has shot down a lot and keeps shooting them down! It seemed as if the Starfox team would finish with all the Imperials. But more TEPs were arriving from the rest of the Imperial fleet at the other side of Sauriaalong with 25 escort carriers and 3 more star destroyers. The fresh TEPs were all over the Starfox Team. But the escort carriers and the star destroyers went after the Cornerian cruisers. Now there were 2 deadly battles; 40 Cornerian cruisers vs. the 6 Imperial advanced star destroyers and 25 shielded escort carriers, and the other battle with the Starfox team vs. 2 star destroyers and several TEPs. From the bridge of one of the star destroyers, an officer was watching the battle. So far, the Imperials had the best of the situation. Admiral Melt-yong was already informed of the beasts presence. The admiral was directing everything from his flagship, the SSD-347 until he got a call from the planet of Sauria. The call was originated from the Volcano Force Point Temples entrance. A group of Imperial researchers were on the place to investigate the source of a strange energyand they had finally found it. Admiral Melt-yong got to his shuttle and departed towards the Volcano Force Point, escorted by 6 TEPs. On the battle between the Starfox team and the Imperials, ROB detected Melt-yongs shuttle moving towards the planets surface. ROB- A small transport its on its way towards the planets surface! But Fox, Falco, Slippy and Krystal were being pursued by TEPseach one being chased going in different directions. Falco- ROB, if you havent noticed yet: we have bigger problems here! Fox- Where is it heading anyways? Fox managed to free himself from the TEPs behind him. But as soon as he got them off his tail, another group of TEPs where right behind him. ROB- Its destination seems to be a place near an active volcano area. Fox and Krystal at same time *alarmed*- The Volcano Force Point Temple!! Krystal- If they find a way in, they might find the Spellstones!! Fox- And if they find and remove the Spellstones Fox and Krystal at same time *alarmed*- The planet will fall apart!! Krystal- We got to stop them!!! TEPs were getting more and more aggressive. Slippy- But how are we going to get rid of these fighters?! Falco- I hate to be a bring-down, but *minor hit* I dont *minor hit* think we can take them all!! Falco was being chased by as many fighters as 16. So were Fox, Slippy and even Krystal! It seemed as if the end was near for them. But, out of nowhere, several blasts took care of the TEPs behind Fox, Falco, Slippy and Krystal. Wolf ODonnel- Youre pathetic, you know Fox! Leon- Heh! Saved your sorry tail again, Falco! Panther- Ah, Krystal! Our paths cross again! Loba Wolff- And let me introduce myself: Im Loba Wolff. And if you mess with me, itll be the last thing youll ever do! Fox, Falco, Slippy and Krystal- *Huge Surprise* Starwolf?!! Yes Starwolf! And they had a new addition to the team: Loba Wolff, A young female wolf of about 20 years of age with dark gray fur, dark brown long hair, and dark brown eyes. She joined the Starwolf team after they came across her in a bar. Loba was being molested by 3 male foxes while Wolf, Panther and Leon were having a drink. Wolf saw that Loba was in problems and helped her out. After Wolf helped Loba, she fell for wolf. So, you might say she joined just to be near Wolf. *The Following is a Flashback of Lobas entrance to the Starwolf Team* Loba was sitting on a corner in a spacebar after the last, long day in the academy. She was an orphanher parents abandoned her in the hospital when she was born. She spent all of her childhood in a foster home till she was 14. In the orphanage, Loba got a good educationlearned to read and write at age 5 . By age 8, she was an honor student. At the age of 14, Loba Wolff enrolled in the space academy. She was always the best in the groupa natural leader that would stop at nothing to achieve an objective. During the Aparoid invasion, Loba helped and protected civilians along with the other academy students. She had just finished the Academy at age 18 and went to the spacebar to pass some time alone to think whether settle in civilian life or joining the Cornerian Fleetshe wasnt drinking any alcoholic or harmful beverages. She always kept her health in top conditionthat would explain her hot looks and her shiny healthy fur. A group of 3 punk foxes had just gotten into the bar and spotted Loba in her green academy uniform. The 3 foxes went to her. One sat in the seat in front of her, the other one sat at her left side, and the other fox was just standing at the right side of herreal close. Loba wanted no trouble, so she tried to ignore them and just kept drinking at her milkshake. It wasnt till the foxes started to say things to her that she just tried to move, but the foxes wouldnt let her. Punk Fox 1- Hey, baby, you want to be my special friend. Foxes laugh. Loba Wolff- I want no trouble, guys. Loba moves, but foxes block her from moving. Punk Fox 2- Where are you going, pretty. Loba Wolff- Please, I want no problems. She tried to move pass by them, but one of the foxes pushed her down in the shoulder to sit her down. Punk Fox 3- Youre not going anywhere till we become close friends. The foxes laughed, but Loba gave them a warning. Loba Wolff- Listen: I really dont want to hurt you. So, please butt-off! Punk Fox 1- Wow! Being a little disrespectful around real males arent ya. The fox was about to reach for her shoulder when Loba graved his hand and flipped him in midair. The punk fell right on top of one of the tables, breaking it. At this time, the Starwolf team had entered and seated in the bar. Loba Wolff- I told you. The other two foxes tried to jump on her, but Loba high-kicked one of the foxes on the face, and hit the other one in the crouch. The fox that got flipped over by Loba stood up and apprehended her from the back. At that time, Wolf, Panther and Leon had already noticed the disturbance. Loba Wolff- Let me go!! Let me go, you punk!! Wolf, seeing that Loba was in trouble, stood up and went to them. Panther and Leon stood in the bar in stand by if Wolf needed backup. Wolf ODonnel- Hey!! You heard the lady!! Let her go, NOW!! Punk Fox 2- Go take a hike old-timer! Wolf patted the fox on the arm to call his attention. Punk Fox 2- I told you to take a Wolf punched the big-mouthed fox right on the left eyesending the fox flying to the floor. The other 2 foxes released Loba and went for Wolf. One of the punks was about to hit Wolf when Panther stopped the hit, just inches away from Wolfs face. Wolf didnt even flinched! Panther started to apply pressure on the foxs hand, crushing pressure with a pop here and there coming from the foxs fist. Panther continued till the punk was kneeling on the floor. The other fox graved a chair and tried to smack it to Wolf, but then again, he was stoppedthis time by Leon. Leon punched the punk in the face. The fox dropped the chair and fell on the floor with his hands on his face. Wolf ODonnel- Got enough?! Or do you still need more?! The punks got up and fled. Wolf ODonnel- Humph, I always hated punks. Especially foxes. Leon- We all now to whom they remind you of. Panther- Well, at least we showed them whos the boss around here. Loba was impressed with the group, and she couldnt take her eyes away from themespecially from Wolf. She approached them in a shy manner and thank themshe was shy as she did. Loba Wolff- Thanks for helping me out. Wolf- Yea, no sweat. *Turns to Panther and Leon* Ok, lets get out of here! Wolf turns to the bartender and throws a coin to him, which the bartender cought. Wolf- Sorry for the mess. And cancel our drinks. Loba- Wait! Where are you going? Who are you? Wolf- ODonnel. Wolf ODonnel. This is Panther and this is Leon. And together we are the Starwolf Team. Loba- Well, Wolf, thanks for everything. The group was leaving the bar. Loba waited a few seconds, thinking. Then Loba ran after them. Loba- Wait!! The Starwolf team was already boarding their Wolfens when she reached them. Wolf- What do you want now?! Loba- Are you guys accepting new members on your team? Wolf thought about it for a moment. And then Wolf- Let me see HumNO!! And if we would, what makes you think I would choose you?! Loba- Well hum, I just finished the space academy with top honors. Panther- So, youre a pilot? Loba- Yes. Panther- Ah, that reminds me to sweet Krystal. Leon- Everything reminds you of her! Wolf- A pilot?! Humph! We dont need more pilots! Leon- But think about it, Wolf: we cant take on the Starfox team if they are 4 and we are only 3! Panther- Besides, It is time we get a female figure in the team too. Wolf- Well, do you have a ship?! Loba- Well, I Panther- I could taker her along with me in my ship. The space is little, but there would be enough room to maneuver the ship. Loba- Well, if I had to get a ride with one of you I would go with Wolf. Wolf got a bit red when Loba said that. Wolf- Wellhum forget it!! Thats out of question! If you dont have a ship, you dont come with us!! Loba- But I do have a ship! Wolf- Well, then, try to keep up with us if you can! Wolf closed his canopy and readied to depart, and so did Panther and Leon. Loba Wolff ran to get her ship, which was located at the other side of the bar. But Wolf didnt waited for herthey took off without her. Panther- Arent we going to wait for her? Wolf- Humph! I told her to keep up with us! Loba- Hey! Wolf, wait up! Loba said through her com-link. Loba managed to keep up with them. She was piloting a Cornerian fighterlike the one Bill pilots. But she had added some modifications to the ship herself. Wolf- What took you so long!! Loba- Well, I had to go around half the bar. Wolf- Thats youre ship?! Loba- Well yes. Wolf- Not on my team. Panther- Cmon, Wolf! Just give her a chance to prove herself to you! Leon- Yea! And if it is a Wolfen you want her to have, we can give her one. Panther- Ill even give her my ship. Wolf- Ok, thats enough!! She can stay. But only because I want an even match against Fox. Understood! Leon- You got it, chief. Panther- You wont be disappointed. Wolf- Just one more thing Whats your name? Loba- Wolff. Loba Wolff. Wolf- Ok, Loba, from now on youll take orders from me. Starwolf, and their newly added member, departed for their stationincreasing speed till they were gone. *End of flashback* The Starwolf team was back to help again! This time against the invading humans. The Starwolf team started to take out the TEPs behind the Starfox team. One after another, the Starfox team was freed from their Imperial pursuers. Wolf- I cant believe I had to rescue you again! Humph, and you call yourselves pilots?! Fox- Its nice to see you too, Wolf. Falco- I cant believe Im about to say this, but thanks for your help. Now, let us do our job! Slippy- Now youre 4?! Krystal- Well talk later!! We need to stop those humans from finding the Spellstones!! The Starwolf team helped the Starfox team against the TEPs. But the only thing that was in Krystals mind was stopping the shuttle before it reached the Volcano force point. Wolf- I dont care where you go or what you do as long as you stay out of my way!! Fox- Ok! You take care of the enemy here! Well go to the planet and stop that transport!! Wolf- Dont tell me what to do!! Ill take the humans here because I want to not because you say it!! Panther- This humans are all over the place! Sargasso, the asteroid belt, the X, Y, and Z sectors!! Falco- These humans are worst than a plague!! Krystal- Cmon!! We got to stop that transport, NOW!! Krystal piloted her Arwing full speed towards the planet with Fox, Falco and Slippy right behind. Starwolf kept behind taking out as many Imperials as needed and helping out the Cornerian Fleet and Starfoxs ship. They took on the TEPs and escort carriers, but the star destroyers were invincible. If they only knew that the spherical structures on top of the bridge are the shields source of power. The only thing Starwolf could do was to keep the Imperial fighters away from the Cornerian fleet along with the Cornerian pilots while the cruisers tried to weaken the destroyers shields from a safe distance. But the star destroyers seemed motionless. From the cockpit of the SD-44, one of the ships battling the Cornerians in Sauria, the commander of the destroyer saw the battle on a deadly lock. An officer reported to the commander. Officer- Sir, all systems are checked. Were in attack position now. Awaiting orders. Commander- Hold positions. Officer- Were not going to engage? Commander- Not yet. I have my orders from the Admiral. He only wants us to hold them here. Officer- And what about the 4 fighters that are on their way to the planets surface? Commander- I dont think they represent a menace for us down there. If they are spotted down there, theyll be shot down by our artillery. Officer- Very well, then. The officer directed his sight to the fighter-to-fighter battle that was going on in front of them. None of the cruisers moved, but they kept launching fighters. And more fighters were coming from the rest of the fleet at the other side of the planet. In the fleet towards Corneria, Lord Edwards had felt a disturbance in the force. He called for the nearest officer he found. Lord John Edwards Malovich- Officer! An officer came from the other side of the command room. Officer- Yes, sir? Lord John Edwards- Prepare a shuttle for me! Officer- Yes, my lord. To what destination? Lord John Edwards- To the planet Sauria from the sector 1. Officer- Right away, my lord. The officer headed towards the exit to prepare shuttle for Edwards trip. Edwards felt that something was about to happen in Sauria. Meanwhile, the Starfox team was entering Saurias atmosphere with incredible speed. Fox- Ok, team, this is it. Lets find that transport. Krystal- Find it and destroy it! We cannot let the humans take the Spellstones! Falco- So, you never told me about this Spellstones thing. What exactly are they? Krystal- They are the only things keeping this planet together. Fox- Without them, Sauria will fall apart! Falco- I guess I shouldnt have asked. We really have to intercept that transportI dont want to be on a planet when it falls apart. Slippy- Hey! I got something in the radar! It was Admiral Melt-yongs shuttle. Fox- Ok. Well approach carefully to avoid being detected. Then well Fox stopped as he saw Krystal speeding up towards the shuttle. Fox- Krystal, WAIT!! But Krystal kept heading towards the shuttle. She was decided to stop that shuttle at all cost! In the cockpit of the shuttle, the radar detected Krystals ship, and the rest, heading towards them. Copilot- Sir, were being chased! The admiral saw the radars and ordered his escort TEPs to stop them. Admiral Melt-yong- Pilots, take care of them!! TEP Escort 1- Yes, sir! TEP Escort 2- Right away! The 6 TEPs escorting the shuttle separated from the transport and turned towards the oncoming Arwings. Krystal was the first one to engage in a fight with the escorting TEPs. Followed by Fox, Falco and Slippy. Krystal shot the fighter she had engaged and followed the admirals shuttle. Fox, Falco and Slippy were having a bit of a troublethe escort pilots are usually better than the regular pilots. In the scanners of the shuttle, the crew saw that they still had a pursuer. Copilot- Sir, we still have one behind! Admiral Melt-yong- Why wont they die!! Onboard the shuttle were 15 Imperial Navy Guards and 2 officers plus the crew of the shuttle. One of the officers told a trooper to man the rear gun and get rid of the persistent plague. Officer- You! Man the rear gun and get rid of that fighter!! The trooper took control of the gun and started to open fire at Krystal. Krystal returned fire after she was being fired at. The shots went back and forth, but none of them hit either one of the ships. A blast finally hit Krystals Arwing, shooting down her ship. Krystals ship crash-landed in the jungle below. But not even that stopped her. She got out of her Arwing and continued on foot. She took her staff along with her and started to run as fast as she could to reach the Volcano Force Pointwhich wasnt so far. On the shuttle, the gunner was congratulated by the other troopers and by the officers onboard. The shuttle was about to reach its destination. The scientists were waiting for the transport to arrive on an open field right next to the ThornTail Hollow. No dinosaurs could be seen. The planets dinosaur population was either in concentration camps, hiding from the Imperials, or dead. The shuttle had arrived to a landing area in the open field from where the scientists and a squad of troopers were awaiting them. The shuttle prepared for landing, folding its wings and lowering the landing gear. As soon as the shuttle touched the ground, the cargo bay opened and 6 Imperial navy trooper guards got outfollowed by Admiral Melt-yong, the 2 officers and the rest of the troopers. The lead scientist of the group, which consisted of 9 scientists and the lead scientist, welcomed Melt-yong to the area. Lead Scientist- Welcome to sector S-41, Admiral. I hope you had a pleasant flight. Admiral Melt-yong- You wouldnt believe how the flight was. Lead Scientist- Well, with all that weve seen in this planet, I would probably believe almost everything. The group of ten scientists, the 2 officers, 10 guards and the admiral boarded an APC to reach the Volcano Force Point Temple. They had to travel through part of the forest, through a rocky plane and then reach the lava fieldspassing through a road that the Imperials had constructed. They couldnt have landed on the volcano area since most of the place was still flowing lava. Meanwhile, Krystal was still running towards the Volcano Temple to stop the humans from entering and/or remove the spellstones. She was running as fast as she could, with her staff at hand. She reached an open field in which the humans had already been. She was shocked at what she saw: burned huts, pieces of ceramic which were once jars or some sort of container, broken spears and arrows, craters on the ground and pyramids completely in ruins. But what shocked her the most were the hundreds of dead earthwalkers, lightfoot, thorntails and skyrunners in the area. She walked slowly through the field of deathbarely unable to breath from the sadness she felt. Every inch she walked she saw a dead dinosaur. Judging from the level of decomposition of the cadavers one could say that the massacre had happened not long ago. Krystal couldnt take it anymore. Krystal was unable to give another step and fell on her knees and cried. Then, she remembered what was she running for: she had to stop the humans from causing any more damage to the planet. She raised her head up and with a mean look she stood up and kept running through the field filled the with death and destruction that was all around her. She just kept running, now seeking revenge. This is not the Krystal we all know! The APC carrying Admiral Melt-yong had finally reached the stone bridge that led to the entrance of the Volcano Force Point Temple. The APC came to a complete halt near the bridge. All onboard got out of the transport and followed the scientistsexcept for 5 of the guards which kept guard on the APC. The group crossed the stone bridgethe rotating gates that blocked the pass were blownto the other side. They didnt needed to open the entrance, since it was blown like the gates on the stone bridge. They walked through the huge chamber till reaching an end. Admiral Melt-yong- So, wheres the source of that mysterious power youve been looking for? Lead Scientist- Were not there yet. Officer 1- Well, I dont see any other entrance or passage way! Lead scientist- Thats because youre looking in the wrong place. One of the scientists went to a console, which was installed by the scientists and connected to the ground. Pushing a button, the Admiral and the others were lowered by some sort of elevator. Officer 2- What in the name of the Emperor is this?! Lead Scientist- I know. I was as surprised as you are. At first we didnt knew what lowered this elevator or what kept it from falling. We discovered that it was that mysterious energy that is keeping this elevator in function. Admiral Melt-yong was impressed by the power of the mysterious energy. Admiral Melt-yong- And whats the source? Lead scientist- Well, we reached some sort of chamberwhich had a pillar in the center. This pillar had 4 stones of an unknown type. I think that those stones are the source of the energy. Officer 1- Stones?! We came all the way here for stones?! Lead scientist- Believe me, it is worth it. The elevator finally reached the bottom. The scientist led the Imperial officers and the 5 guards through a series of tunnels and bridges. The entire place would have been a deathtrap, but the place was secured. Metal bridges and floor panels were placed along the way. Many of the entrances were blown open. They finally reached a strange platform located at the top. Officer 1- I see no chamber, pillar or stones. The lead scientist stepped into the platform. Lead Scientist- Thats because we are not there yet. Officer 2- So, when exactly are we going to get there?! Lead Scientist- Were almost there, officer. Were almost there. Would you please step into the platform. The scientist said, making a gesture with his hands as a butler inviting them to enter to a mansion. Admiral Melt-yong- Is this another sort of elevator? Lead Scientist- No, but it will take us the chamber. One of the scientists, walk to a consolewhich was connected to the platform by the scientistsand activated the platform. Soon, the people in the platform were sent to the chamber where the stones were located. Officer 1- What the hell just happened?! Lead Scientist- Interesting, isnt it? Its some sort of ancient teleporting device. Also powered by the mysterious energy coming from the stones. The scientist walked towards the huge pillar in the center of the chamber and showed the stones to the officers. The stones were glowing with some sort of inner light. Admiral Melt-yong- Are these the stones you were talking about? The admiral asked impressed by the stones. Lead Scientist- Yep, these are the stones from which the energy is emanating. Melt-yong glanced upon the brightness of the stones for a moment and then turned to the lead scientist. Admiral Melt-yong- Remove the stones, and take them to my ship. Lead Scientist- Sorry, sir, but thats going to be impossible. The stones have been secured into the pillar. They have been incrusted. The admiral was sort of disappointed for that. They all left the chamber and returned to the surface. When the 10 scientists, the 5 guards, the 2 officers and the admiral were at the entrance to the temple, Melt-yong ordered the scientists to take those stones any way the could. Admiral Melt-yong- I want those stones to be removed and sent to the Emperor at once. I dont care if you blow the entire placejust remove those stones! The energy coming from these stones might be useful for the Empire. Lead Scientist- Well do what we can, admiral. The guards and officers were about to cross the stone bridge when a blast hit the officer next to the Admiral, killing him. Admiral Melt-yong- From where did that blast came from?!! Imperial Trooper- I think its coming from the The trooper was shot right in the forehead. The blasts just kept coming out of nowhere. In an instance, the 10 troopers, an officer and even the scientists were dead. Only an officer and the Admiral were alive in the side of the temple. On the other side of the bridge, the APC started to mobilize and look for the attackers. The APC was passing too close to a cliff. Someone was at the top of the cliff, and it was moving some rock till the rock fell from the cliffs and landed on the APCblowing it. Now, the only ones alive were an officer and Admiral Melt-yong. Both officers where behind some rocks, covering from the beams that came from out of nowhere. Suddenly, the blasts stopped. For several moments, silence dominated the area. Melt-yong yelled to the officer. Admiral Melt-yong- Go to the other side of the bridge and see if theres a com-link among the consoles over there! If theres one: call for help! The officer moved from the security and protection of the rock and ran, with blaster gun at hand, to cross the bridge. As soon as he was about to make it, a blast came from the top of the cliff in frontwhere the way towards Moon Mountain Pass was located. The blast hit the officer in the chest and fell on the lava. Now, Admiral Melt-yong was the only human alive in the Volcano Force Point Temple. Melt-yong looked from over the rock he was behind of. He could barely see half way trough the bridge due to the fog that was starting to originate. Melt-yong couldnt see a thing beyond half way of the bridge, but he could see someone coming from the other side. He couldnt tell whether it was an enemy or one of his men by the silhouette. But the figure got closer and clearer. At last, the figure got close enough to be recognized. It was Krystal and she was mad. The admiral got up, pointed his blaster towards Krystal and. Krystal shot the weapon off Melt-yongs hand with her staff. She fired two blasts more, but this time she shot Melt-yongs legs. Melt-yong fell to the ground, as he was unable to stand up because of the hits to the legs. Krystal kept walking towards him while Melt-yong tried to get away by dragging through the hot floor. Krystal was already behind Melt-yong. He tried to get away as he could, but Krystal shot him once more in the legs. Melt-yong screamed from the pain. Now, he couldnt move. He turned to Krystal and tried to negotiate his way out. Admiral Melt-yong *still on the floor*- Please!! We can talk this over!! Just dont kill me!! Krystal- Youll pay for what youve done! Admiral Melt-yong- Please!! Have mercy!! Krystal- MERCY?!! Did you had MERCY when you killed all of those innocent dinosaurs?!! Did you had MERCY when you razed their villages?!! Do you even HAVE mercy?!!. You dont deserve mercy! Melt-yong could see Krystals fury through her eyes. Admiral Melt-yong- Please!!. DONT!!! Krystal pointed her staff slowly at Melt-yongs head and. It was all over for him. Krystal stood motionless for a few seconds and, then, walked away. As Krystal walked to the bridge, a shadow appeared on the other side. Lord John Edwards- *calm voice* The man was begging for help and you shot him. It was Lord Edwards. He had arrived to the same place where Melt-yongs shuttle was. Edwards was alone in the other end of the bridge. Krystal- You made a great mistake coming to this system. Krystal raised her staff towards Edwards and fired a blast directed to his head. But as the blast was about to reach Edwards head, he took out his lightsaber and deflected the blast away. Lord John Edwards- Please you really thought you could kill me! Krystal- I dont think so I know so! She fired once more, but once more Edwards deflected the blasts. Lord John Edwards- Your attempts are useless! Krystal- Who are you anyway?! Lord John Edwards- I am the conqueror of planets, the ruler of galaxies, the crusher of rebellions and the commander of this invasion!! I am Lord John Edwards Malovich!. and you are. Krystal- Krystal. Lord John Edwards- Well, Krystal we finally meet. It has been a pleasure meeting you. Unfortunately, Im going to have to destroy. Krystal- Why have you invaded this system?! Why are you doing this?! Lord John Edwards- Why am I doing this?! For revenge!! Krystal- Revenge for what?! What have we ever done to you?! Lord John Edwards- What have you ever done to me?! You killed my parents!! You took away my family!! You shattered my life!!! And now Ill destroy yours! Krystal- I dont know what youre talking about, but I wont let you get away with this!! Krystal charged at Edwards, ready to hit him with her staff. Lord John Edwards- When will you ever learn? Edwards blocked Krystals attack, but Edwards intention was to destroy her staff. He was a bit surprised at seeing that her staff resisted the laser of his blade. Lord John Edwards- I underestimated you. Krystal- Never underestimate the power of my staff! Lord John Edwards- That metal stick is your weapon? Krystal attacked Edwards once more, and once more Edwards blocked them. Krystal- Its a staff! Lord John Edwards- Oh, yes a primitive weapon. Krystal- This primitive weapon will defeat you. Krystal charged at Edwards once more. Both of them battled furiously on the bridge. The lava below gushed like a geyser and got violent as both Krystal and Edwards battled. High swings, low swing, side swingsEdwards blocked them all. Lord John Edwards- I see youre a good fighter. But youre not good enough!! Krystal charged again, but more violently. This time she kicked and punched along with her swings. But even that wasnt enoughEdwards blocked and dodged every attack. Krystal swung once more, but this time Edwards dodged it and hit Krystal, pushing her away and throwing her to the ground. Lord John Edwards- You have fought bravely, Krystal. But now its time I put and end to your life! Edwards activated the second blade of his lightsaber and charged. Krystal managed to stand up and block his attacks, but Edwards kept attacking. Hit after hit, Krystal blocked them with her staff. Edwards charged at her with full power, but Krystal jumped over him to dodge his attack. Krystal- Its time you pay for what you did to Sauria, and the Lylat System! Lord John Edwards- Youre mistaking. You are the ones that are going to pay for my parents death!! You dont know how painful my life has been, knowing that my father and mother are dead!! Knowing that Ill never see them again!! You dont know the pain Im suffering right now just to think of it!! Krystal- I dont know the pain?!!. I lost my family, my home world and everyone I knew in it!! But, Im not seeking for revenge!! Lord John Edwards- But I bet you would if you knew where the killers are! And now youre seeking to revenge this pathetic planet. And youve done so already!! *points at Admiral Melt-yongs body* You are as full of hatred as I am!! Krystal was shocked. He was right; Krystal was seeking revenge as Edwards was. She couldnt believe what she had realized. Krystal- I sense you have a power; psychic power, the power to sense the future. But that power has many uses more; the power to sense what others feel. *approaches Krystal* lets see if you can feel what I feel! Edwards put his hands on Krystals head and transmitted to her the pain hes been feeling for years since his parents death. Krystal felt the agonizing pain Edwards was transmitting. Pain, hatred, and revenge was what she felt. But pain was the strongest. Even after Edwards released her, Krystal could still feel it. She couldnt stop the painshe was starting to suffer what Edwards felt in his heart. Lord John Edwards- Now you know what Ive been feeling all this years! Edwards used force choke to raise her. Krystal was still feeling the pain. Lord John Edwards- It is time I put you out of this misery. He approached Krystal while she was being force chokedfloating above the ground, but this time Edwards would strike her down with the lightsaber. Lord John Edwards- So long Krystal. Edwards was about to swing a deadly strike when someone jumped from behind Edwards and graved him by the neck on a lock. It was Loba Wolff. Her attack gave Krystal time to recover, but Lobas intention was to kill the human. Edwards couldnt use his lightsaber because he lost grip of hit when Loba jumped him. She tried to snap his neck, but Edwards wouldnt let her. He countered Lobas attempts, but Lobas claws sunk into Edwards forehead andas he tried to free himself from Lobas holdher claws ripped a deep wound from left to right on his forehead. A lot of blood came from the wound, but at least Edwards managed to free himself and pushed Loba to the ground. Edwards screamed as he covered the wound with his hands. As he recovered, Edwards walked towards Loba and used force grab to get his lightsaber back. The Imperial Lord was about to strike Loba while she was still on the ground when he was jumped from behind again. This time by Krystalshe had already recovered. Again Edwards was on a lock. Krystal tried to lift Edwards head to cut his throat with her claws, but Edwards wouldnt allow it. Edwards countered Krystals strength by lowering his head to avoid exposing his throat. Krystals claws sunk in Edwards right cheek and ripped another wound, but this time it ran from below his right eye to above it till crossing the previews wound inflicted by Loba. Edwards screamed even more loudly as his right eye was being cut deeply by Krystals claws. Edwards finally managed to free himself and push Krystal away. Edwards was still covering his eye with his hands, but the blood just kept gushing out of his ripped right eye. Loba- Now is our chance! Lets get him!! Krystal and Loba charged at the defenseless manin his now physical pain. They were about to jump him once more when an arriving Imperial APC fired and missed. Both, Krystal and Loba stopped and went for cover. Loba- We need to get out of here! The APC was still opening fire and closing. Krystal and Loba had found cover behind the cliff from which the bridge was connected to. Krystal- We cant leave yet! Loba- Why not?! Krystal- I need to stop them from entering that temple! Loba- Ok, no problem! Loba took out a grenade and threw it to the entrance of the Volcano Force Point Temple. The explosion was so strong, that the entire temple collapsedblocking the entrance to the Spellstones chamber for good. Loba- Now they wont enter! The APC was now there and opened the troop-hold. 20 troopers got out and started to run for the bridge. Everything seemed lost for Krystal and Loba. But, then, a wolfen arrived from above. It was Wolf, and the others were fighting off the nearby and approaching TEPs along with the rest of the Starfox team. Wolf got close enough to the ground to let Krystal and Loba climb to the wings. After Krystal and Loba secured to the wings, Wolf sped awayStarwolf and Starfox followed. Edwards was still in pain for the wounds on his face. He rouses his head towards the beasts andstill covering his face woundsshouted to them as they were leaving. Lord John Edwards- YOU WILL PAY!!! YOU WILL ALL PAY FOR THIS!!! The eco of Edwards threat could be heard all over the volcano area. The Imperial reinforcements had reached the bridge to aid Edwards. The Starfox and Starwolf team managed to escape from the TEPs. And Lord John Edwards now had a new reason added to destroy these creaturesespecially Krystal and Loba. Edwards thirst for revenge was stronger than ever now.
