Fox-Shot
Oh, cool! thanks!Just because I can't beat the boss doesn't mean I've had my fair share of exploration. I found that out on my own.

Star_Dragon
I was playing Sins of a Solar Empire before I got on the bus to go to school. I was playing in a map that had 100 planets or more... with nine other empires scattered across the map... with only 5 or 6 planets under my control, two or thre of which keep getting wiped out by one of my nine enemies. It's annoying, as every time a planet gets atacked, my fleet is either four phase lanes away or tied up in a fight with another empire. *grrrr...* Sometimes, I wish there were a way to change the fleet cap. This way, I could manage TWO or THREE giant fleets instead of one.

Much better then the crappy turrets.

I usually spend my time managing several small planets (since settling on too many planets tends to lead to them being lost) taking any terrain planets along the way. Using some guerrilla tactics in the back of enemy territory to annoy the enemy and form alliances by completing those "destroy civilian buildings" and ect...Yeah, there is a "10x" (I've seen it, but didn't download it) mod that allows you to make larger fleet sizes, either that or you could check out "SoASE: Entrenchment Expanson" Which has a large Defencive package including "starbases" Which, paired with mines and correctly placed, could wipe out medium sized fleet or put a large dent in it.You buy them. Invest in industry and commerce, use that extra cash to fund your war. Also get fighter bays asap. Much better then the crappy turrets.Yes, and Fleet Logistics is your friend, I usually build up Perchon light carriers (One bomber and figher squad, depending on the situation.) Hosko robotics centers and command cruisers, saving only a little room for defence like flak frigates and Kodac Heavy cruisers. And usually I build Kol Battleships, dreadnoughts, and the support capital ship (I forget its name, it has an Ion bolt) upgrading the flak cannons and the "uber" Shield. Since the computer usually uses that fleet tactic, I build plenty of those flak frigates.
