Sabre
I previously arranged this on a furry gamers board previously, no one turned up. The gist- Every month / 2 weeks we all have a friendly game of something. The reason- Online games with strangers are, imo, boaring. There are also alot of serious and cheating gamers about. Hopfully we can get a more friendly, and thus fun game with people who share an common interest and who interact regularly. How it works- Anyone who is interested posts a message. We then pick a system, game, and a convenient time. The host (probley me in case of PCs) will post their friend code/MSN/Whatever, and then play. We will genraly avoid the latest releases so that more people can join. Anyone up for it?
Dr. Wilopolis
I'd volunteer, but I don't have anything that's... well, capable. XD
PuffNStuff
depends, what game? I can recommend some.
Rapidfire
This sounds like a capital idea. I'm all for it, provided that it is a console/game I own (read: latest-generation Nintendo consoles and PC). I haven't done much in the way of online gaming with people I know since Age of Empires II, which is something approximating eight years ago already. Ergo, I am considerably in favour of this proposal, and I'd like to see it take off. o_O
PuffNStuff
Starcraft Age of Empiers 2 Unreal Tournament 2004 Command and Conquer generals or Red alert 1 or 2, Tib sun battlefield 2 Counter Stirke Half life 2 Or anything else that is steam powered
DZComposer
Interesting idea, but for now if you do this, do not call it an official SFO event please, as this has not been discussed with the other staff. You can use the SFO name, but if you do make sure the word unofficial is in there somewhere for now.

Sabre
do not call it an official SFO event please I didn't intend to, A- Im not a staff member, B- It's for anyone who wants a game, not just SFO members. Starcraft Age of Empiers 2 Unreal Tournament 2004 Command and Conquer generals or Red alert 1 or 2, Tib sun battlefield 2 Counter Stirke Half life 2 Or anything else that is steam powered All good, though there are some there I don't have. I might be able to get them though. Now the big question. What time is convenient for you. Be sure to include your timezone. My time is 3pm-4am GMT 7 days a week I can probley work in other times though. --- Sideways- I don't have a 360, plus I try to avoid the newer games for a number of reasons, but you can easy host a 360 night. We could alternate between platforms if this becomes a regular thing maybe. As for the new games reasons I will list them quick - Many people like to finish the SP mode on many games before dipping into online. - System spec, not everyone has the latest super duper PCs and consoles. - Price, not everyone can afford a £60 game every week - Familiarity, everyone knows the rules, layout, and how to set up a game. What do I class as new? Well, CoD4 and up genrally, but it's no hard and fast rule. GTA4 is a good choice though due to it's small player count. Rapidfire
My availability is very fluid, since I work quirky hours that I set by myself for myself. Times I know I'll be invariably busy are Wednesday nights and Thursday evenings. At large, I am free between the hours of 5 pm to 1 am EST (10 pm to 6 am GMT). That's a conservative block of time, however, and I can usually fit in more than those few hours. Just by way of suggestion, I'm surprised that Mario Kart DS or Command haven't been mentioned as viable candidates for a game night yet.
Ramuza
Sounds interesting, just I don't have any of the games you all listed
Sabre
Sounds interesting, just I don't have any of the games you all listed What game do you have that might work? Popular older games, if you have any. I'm surprised that Mario Kart DS or Command haven't been mentioned as viable candidates for a game night yet. I'm gonna try and keep the first on PC as comunication is easy on it, and (I assume) everyone who posts here has one. DS and Wii are a pain in the arse to set up games on thanks to nintendos over the top stranger danger protection.
CloudRunnerLX
Brawl? Mario Kart Wii maybe? I haven't really played MK Wii much because I hate it..
Sol-Ratcht Saporro
^lolwut? I thought it was good overall. I'd be up for a game night but I have a pretty gnarly schedule (Its so spontaneous I can't make a set day or time). Plus, I don't even play any of the games you all mentioned on the Xbox/PS3. But of course, I have plenty of Wii/DS games. Yeah. Cool idea though.
CloudRunnerLX
I think Mario Kart Wii would be good because you can have 12 people playing at once can't you?

Rapidfire
I suppose it would be reasonable either to regularly rotate the platform of choice or, for a slightly greater logistical challenge, organise for all platforms, as it's highly unlikely that very many of us have all of the consoles of choice for this generation.
