MrShowtime
Nintendo have announced that they will indeed be showing off new titles for the 'core' gamer during their E3 2008 conference next month. Despite a slew of top quality titles from Nintendo since the Wii launched worldwide in 2006, a lot of customers have complained that the Big N are not doing enough to satisfy the 'core' gamer. Nintendo recognise these concerns, and in an interview with GamePro, Mark Franklin (Nintendo of America's director of PR) stated that the Japanese giant would be revealing "several new titles that core gamers will be interested in" around the time of its E3 conference, to be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on July 15th. Speculation is rife that Nintendo may reveal a series revival of Kid Icarus for the Wii, along with many more new titles. Reggie said that we wouldn't be disappointed, and we shall stand by his statement. Perhaps this year's software won't call him overweight. Sabre
Question. What's a core gamer? I assume it has nothing to do with warp drives or apples.
NS-Games
Probably best not to assume anything right now. Let's not forget that most of us were looking forward to having Krystal be a part of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and how much of a disappointment that was. Even with all of the evidence that suggested that she was going to be a playable character, that didn't happen. As for this, Nintendo might hint towards a new Star Fox game but that might not happen as well.
Guest Krystal luver
I've heard a few rumors about a new StarFox but nothing concrete.

DZComposer
"[Hard]Core Gamer" is an arbitrary term with different definitions. The most common one seems to be those who mainly play FPSes. Though there are others, suce as one that plays epic adventure games, or one that plays lots of games. Because it is arbitrary, there is no "right" definition. It is a meaningless industry buzzword. Sabre
Ah. Hardcore gamers. People who play games as more then a casual diversion. At least that's the definition I've always known. Why cut off the hard though? Is it a dirty word? As using it for a FPS player, that's new to me. I know some casuals think it means 'cool', but that's kind of backwards. Only Hardcore gamer games I know of coming to the wii are Conduit and Mad World, which reminds me of Sin City and the REM song.
