NS-Games
Watching Microsoft's E3 2008 media briefing I noticed a new avatar system in production for the XBOX 360. To me this looks like a big rip-off of Nintendo's Miis. What do you guys think?
Battleship
Yes. And I hope Nintendo brings charges against them for doing so. This is one of the reasons I do not support the XBOX 360.

In fact what they're doing with the Xbox 360 is the same thing they did with the first three versions of Windows, creating a more appealing operating "environment" that runs over another operating system that does the same crap. Mr. Krystal
Well that's capitalism for ya. Hate it all you want, they may copy, but they do it right. Copying i mean. I might actually agree, except that capitalism usually leads to products that are of higher quality than the things they copied (or more usually, used as inspiration). Most of Microsoft's copied ideas are not better, and most are worse. You can't copyright an idea, but you can copyright a method, technique, or specific piece of software/music/video/text. In that sense, no-one can stop Microsoft. But it's not their products that really bother me, it's how they get it into people's homes. The immoral, and sometimes even illegal, business practices the sales departments have used are unacceptable.

PuffNStuff
but the ipod sucks. you have to have itunes, CONVERT EVERY SINGLE LITTLE SPECK OF DATA to the ipod spec then if you want videos, you have to convert those too! and half the time they don't work. The ipod sucks at what the Zune does. In other words, the Zune is what the Ipod should be but Apple is communist and loves their itunes.

You'd rather have music that you loose as soon as the service goes down (pay for play services)? Apple has to limit the way that the songs are distributed somehow, or the record companies wouldn't be on board to sell music. And what's wrong with iTunes anyway? I mean, there are quantifiable, terrible problems with Internet Explorer, yet it's impossible to completely remove from Windows. How is that any different? It's not like it costs anything. And the Zune needs its own software as well, so you're out of an argument there. I don't mind converting either, it saves space. As for videos, they always work the way I want them so I have no clue what you talking about when you say, "and half the time they don't work." Microsoft copies everything, and in the end, they still end up making horrible products. And somehow, they still manage to take control of the market, I can't go the store and find any Mac products, its all run on windows operating systems. Battleship
I can't go the store and find any Mac products, its all run on windows operating systems. Because the PC's get all the "Wal-Mart specials" whilst Mac's are far too important to be at Wal-Mart.

PuffNStuff
Macs..... WHY? They suck. You cant do anything good with them. I have personally dealt with a lot of macs. From notebooks to G5's (tower) to the new iMac. ALL of them had serious problems occur while i was using them. One of them, I was making a movie. Its what it is meant for right? So I was content with making a movie on a Mac. Then, it bombed on me. Thats right, bombed. I HATE GETTING BOMBED! ALL MY LIFE, EVERY SINGLE MAC I HAVE EVER USED BOMBED ME. I lost my whole psych project because of macs. Even their mp3 players. Sure they had good premise. But then they turned communist and had to have evereything in their format. The zune, drag and drop videos quickly. The PC, gaming, drafting and very upgradable (i have had the same computer for almost 10 years, started out as a compaq 4000t 1999). You don't need to go to a apple store to service it. You can go anywhere with a pc. I say, the MAC is trash and forever will be. The Ipod had a great idea, but failed. Thankfully microsoft thought better and made it easy. Who is really evil? Microsoft for capitalizing on badly executed ideas by its competitors? Or Apple, for just sucking? (EDIT: I now realize, that I might have offended some of you because of my mac-hateage. Well, if u own a mac too bad, no offence, but too bad. Sorry but I had a ton of pent up hate for mac the past week)
Mr. Krystal
Dude, you sound like a guy wow has the random unlucky gene. My mom is kinda like that. Things that just shouldn't go wrong with any computer goes wrong when I touch her computer, leading her to blame me for everything. I think what you need is someone to show you how to use it effectively and safely. Not saying you did something that should have caused a crash, but you never know. But seriously. I mean, you can run OS X, Windows, Unix, and Linux on one machine. The only possible applications that couldn't run on a Mac are drivers designed for PC-only hardware. PuffNStuff
Probably, but it also happens that I just have to have something to hate and apple just so happens to be at the end of that gun. So, no thank you. I will stick to my P.C. As for OSX, that sucks too.

I work my computers very hard and Mac's always seem to break down or slow down less than PC's.
PuffNStuff
well back to Wii's. I was at the Mall Of America twice this weekend and the Wii was in the mall giving a demonstration of the Wiifit. It was fun. A little embarassing to be next to about 50 other people but it was okay. Upon leaving I remembered how I moved, balanced and twisted. I noticed that there were a lot of thrusting motions involved. Maybe playboy should jump into the market.... Maybe sell some wiimotes custom for their games... Bowchickabowwow PS: I went to the apple store and a long story short, I ended up calling apple communist. AND I was wearing a hat that made me look like Castro. It was busy too.... Now that, is progress against apple. Shoutuing that they are communist in their store at one of their busiest stores. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED (oh yeah, not just completed you noobs accomplished!)
