What I didn't like ws the learning curve of the game.

Here is my difficulty level for each level 1 being extremely easy and 5 being ridiculous.

Level 1: 1

Level 2: 1 (especially after getting the Landmaster)

Level 3: 3 (harder because of the Might Gague thing)

Level 4: 2 (a little tricky when facing the robots in the control room)

Level 5: 4 (I for one have a heck of a time fighting Pigma at the end)

Level 6: 4 (Due to the size of the level and the stupid gague)

Level 7: 2 (The enemies are scattered around enough)

Level 8: 3 (missles are a little of a pain)

Level 9: 5 (AARGG! many enemies and a maze like place)

Level 10: 5 (The gauntlet of pain)

Final Boss: 5 (especially at the end.

What I don't like about Assault is how it fluctuates through the difficulty rather than a steady increase in difficulty.

This may be the reason why the game seems short because it is wonky with the difficulty.

Jim

Personally, I enjoy games with fluctuating difficulty, it always keeps you on your toes, as you never know what to expect next!  :)

Yeah. It also gives you a challenge and teach you to expect the unexpected.

what I really enjoy about this game (Similair to adventures) is you actually get to see the characters WALK Like see their curves like Krystal's curves.....(You know you like it!)....as far as  how good she looks not any of the perverted things.

I really liked Assault.  The game could have been a little longer.  It would have cool to have a story mode that was like the one on SF64. Being able to go to different planets and not having to always complete missoins would be cool

I was really upset when i played multiplayer, and i was rewarded with a Titiania, Zoness, and (the other level) playable level

...

I know unlockables are fun, but the game only had ten levels, if they made those maps (and they were really awesome maps) they should have used them. The story left something to be desired. I don't think it was a horrible game, but i think they should have taken more time and care with it.

Assault was fun while it lasted. It could have been MUCH better if:

1) the story mode was longer

2) the characters didnt run a million miles an hour

3) they were going to put Co-Op in it if I remember correctly

4) If multiplayer mode also gave you the option of "Vs. CPU". (I would have liked to have some handicap matches against the AI)

Speaking of the story mode, anyone here think it was originally meant to be longer? I mean, look at some of the multiplayer maps like Titania and Zoness. Does anyone think they were supposed to be in the main game by any chance? Those maps were put together well. I thought Titania was possibly the best map in the game.

IKNORITE!? lol yea i completely agree with you. Personally I liked Zoness the best, but yea, the levels were so well put together, you'd think they would have used them  if they had everything you listed, it would have been great.

I know what you mean about them running really fast. Falco, it kinda made sense, but the rest of them? Yea, bit too fast... kinda feels like the over-balanced pistol from Halo: Combat Evolved, if that makes any sense...

EDIT:

Sorry, I posted in wrong topic.

But, for the record, I think Assault was good. Could have been longer, but it was fun.

1) I say Assault is better without any 1st-person segments

2) I agree, although its not that bad

3) Graphics were fine, good on vehicles

4) Controls are fine once you change it to dual stick, and only have the arwing inverted

5) I agree

6) I find it quite fun this way, although it can be annoying at times

When controls are inverted : Down=up & up=Down

Non-Inverted : Everything does what you'd expect

In Assault, I like only the Arwing inverted

I half-agree with both you guys. Sniping could be better - no inverted, and allowing no scope to happen.

Inverted controls over all I don't enjoy. I mean, I'm fine with them, it's just I play better without them.

I was disappointed with the game's length. I know it's the type of game where you can play it again on hard levels to score higher but all the same, I would have preferred a more in-depth story and a few more levels and places to explore. Also, I have no idea how they managed to come up with that control scheme but it didn't really work at times.

Your right, the game was pretty short. They could have at least added a few more missions and give it more in-depth story. Its still an alright game though.

^^^It's the multiplayer that gives Assault most if not all it's replay value IMO. I thought they did a good job with it anyways.

Atleast it wasn't as short as Super Mario Bros. Wii. or Mario 3.

Mario 3 wat. Mario 3 came out in 1990/1988. And these are TOTALLY UNCOMPARABLE GENRES.

Anyway, everything about Assault sucked massive testicles. I can make a list. I would give you it, but I'm too sleepy right now. Maybe I'll check back later and do that.

What, testicles? They're organs, would rather I say "sucks massive pancreas" instead?

Anyway, short list for now, I haven't had time to write up my ultimate rage list yet:

-Crappy graphics

-Crappy animations

-Crappy acting

-Crappy writing

-Crappy original music

-Crappy foot controls

-Crappy tank controls

-Crappy Arwing controls

-Crappy replay value

-Crappy special effects

-Shorter than SF64

To name a few.

Testicles may be an organ but it isn't an appropriate subject to bring up on a forum for all ages, is it?

Anyway, while I agree with you on some points, I think you're being a little harsh. Or rather, you're over-exaggerating. Sure, the graphics were a little on the square side (Fox's tail especially), they were certainly better in the flying missions. Surely you can't deny that. I don't see where you're coming from with the idea of 'crappy animations'. What are you expecting? It was a GC game from 2005.

In my opinion, the orchestrated music was fantastic. I just think you're overreacting. Maybe you should learn to appreciate what you're given more often.
