I hope that they make the Ar-wing controls just like the jet fighter games and using the cursor to steer it like you said.

But on foot... would you just aim the cursor at enemies again only from 3rd person view, and use numchuck for movement? If that's true, SF needs to spice up! Enemies need to be smarter AND faster than the assault opponents. (they were SO lame and easy.)  :krystal:   I also would like to see multiplayer on WiFi.

i think you should have  a choice like for super smash brothers Brawl.  I'd prefure to fly with a joystick or d-pad.

Me too.

This I think would be the Classic Controller layout for the Arwing missions:

Move ship: D-Pad or Left Thumb Stick

Fire: A-Button

Bomb: B-Button

Break: Y-Button

Boost: X-Button

Barrel roll left: L-Button

Barrel roll right: R-Button

U-Turn: Tilt down on Right Thumb Stick

Loop: Tilt up on Right Thumb Stick

I think the Gamecube controls shoud look like this

joystick:movement

Cstick:look

A:jump

b:melee or other action

x:all action button

y:switch weapons

R:Throw grenade

L:Switch Grenade type

Z:Scope zoom.

D-pad:other options.(like barrier)

isn't it odd how these three controllers have basicly the same button and joystick placement?

I also wanna do some Landmaster Missions, and Blue Marine Missions, too, in the next Star Fox game.

I can't believe Star Fox Adventures didn't have any of that...they barely had an Arwing Mission (tacked on)

At least Assault had Arwing and Landmaster missions...as well as on foot, and the AWESOME wing riding missions.

I'd like an even balance of Arwing, Landmaster, on foot, wing rider, and Blue Marine play in the next game.

With the amount of hype and things we are dreaming up for this game, I know for certain that somebody is gonna be disappointed with one thing or another.

I would like to see a return of the wing riding missions, but they need to throw in a twist so it won't just be a carbon copy of Assault.

Assault style game play is the direction Star Fox needs to go in my eyes. I never really got the *impossible riding on the wing of a ship flying at high speeds* one of those is enough for me :P. If they do have on-foot in the next game then they need to have a quick select option for your weapons, that would own in mutli-player as well.

so Like halos you can only carry two weapons? that works really well despise the fact you can be luggin around large weapons all the time.

Well someone had to do it, with great disappointment.

There is still hope, but Quality may suffer if namco makes it.

Imagine if bungie bought the license for Star Fox and made their own sf game that would be great!

Epic graphics

Epic gameplay

1337 multiplayer

It'd be a Halo clone with bad flight controls. Give it to Hal or Retro Studios.

You are correct, Halo does have quite a few glitches. However for the most part, I was talking about online play.

If we are going to get specific, yeah halo's game play is not the best and if they made an sf game it would more than likely not be the best game ever.

although compared to some of Assault's flaws could you truly say an sf made by bungie would be the worst sf game ever?

You are well informed for someone who doesn't own an xbox(360)- unless you do?

If so do you play xbox live?

still though its a shame he creator doesn't want to make n sf game on wii.

well one thing him and I agree on is that wii is somewhat more of a toy than a console, if only wii wasn't infected with shovel-idis  (opinion)

No. I don't own an XBOX.

And I'm not saying that Halo is a bad game. It must be at least decent to have the popularity it does. No, what I'm trying to say is that Star Fox isn't a series that's based on the FPS genre. It's a flight shooter. Bungie could make a great Star Fox ground mission game, but it wouldn't be what we want, a flight shooter.

The foots missions of SF Assault remember a little that Nintendo 64 game, "Jet Force Gemini"  :lolhyst:

Well we probably should not start a debate about halo on an SF forum.

Anyway, I am beginning to get worried about the fate of our furry friends.

I'm positive that Star Fox will keep coming back. No Nintendo franchise as big as Star Fox has ever been shelved before, and I doubt they're going to start now. There is one factor that points to a return for Star Fox soon.

Takaya Imamura's absence from other games.

He is essentially the man who guides the Star Fox series, yet there are no traces of him in any games released since Brawl. I suspect that he's either working on a new Star Fox or a new F-Zero.

Let's just wait and see...

If there is no SF Wii.

So let's wait for the next console.

There is no Metroid game for Nintendo 64 so.......

The lack of Metroid was more a developer issue than anything else though. Intelligent Systems wasn't fully adjusted to the change towards 3D gaming, thus they only made Paper Mario for the N64. There was interest in making a game, but they didn't have the skills to make one.

same could work for SF Wii, think about it the Wii control thing might actually be kinda difficult to use
