DZComposer
Don't we all? They need to give the series a permanent home. Having so many developers do the series is part of the reason for the downfall.
Star Fox Runner
Since Adventures, the franchise has gone into the hands of three different developers, so unless the franchise stays with Q-Games, we're about to see it go into the hands of another one. If Nintendo doesn't develop it in house AGAIN, what development company do you guys think should get (or currently has) the job. I think Retro Studios would do a good job, look what they did with the Metroid series. Or maybe Factor 5, as they have done the highly successful Star Wars Rogue Squadron series. Guest Chiro-Chan
Too bad Nintendo doesn't own Rare any more, because I'd personally love to see them do another Star Fox game. Now before everyone flips their lid, let me explain. Of course, there would be all of the on-rails stuff. That's an absolute must with Star Fox, obviously. Now let's pretend there's a few on-foot missions. Remember the game 'Jet Force Gemini'? Imagine a Star Fox game that plays like that for on foot missions. It'd be absolutely amazing. Rare's also known for pretty, detailed graphics, and a lot of their games have pretty good music, too. It's a bloody shame Nintendo sold Rare, because they could have made an excellent Star Fox Wii. (not to mention, I would be able to buy Banjo-Threeie, and not have to worry about when my brother's going to bring the 360 home... *grumbles*) Maybe Nintendo themselves should start making Star Fox games, since they did an excellent job on Star Fox 64. Currently, all I'm hoping is that they don't use any of the icky, new, streamlined designs, and go back to the awesome, 'rustic' look the series used to have. Thanks a lot, Namco. *throws a rock in their general direction* >.> I'm also hoping the story isn't awful like Command's, and Assault's were. Oh well, it's nice to know that Nintendo hasn't completely forgotten about Star Fox. Thanks for the info, Mr. K. =D
PuffNStuff
IMO, playing SFA was a big let down. Sure the graphics were great, and the storyline was fresh but it basically turned starfox into something it wasn't. It was just weird. besides, instead of making krystal look like a pansy, she could have been introduced as an actual warrior, not some savage with telepathy. I hope that SFWii brings back the fun I had with sf64 and assault. With a alot more freedom and definition to the characters.
Star Fox Runner
They need to do a lot more with the story, Star Fox is one of those titles that has massive potential for an amazing story, the trouble is that none of the dev teams have taken the initiative to put in a good story. But while the story definatley needs an overhaul, it can't detract too much from the game like Command did. In the aspect of theme and tone, it can't go all hardcore darkness on us like Gears of War or Doom, but it can't be happy go lucky either. All in all, the story does need to have an edge put into it. Looking at it from a gameplay perspective, Assault was the direction the series needed to go. Ground missions were a nice touch, but Namco botched it by adding way to many of them, plus the physics were awful, and things like weapon collection, vehicle changes, and the destruction of enemies were way too arcade like. They need to keep Assault's format, but make it more realistic. The original design was to give you the option to switch back and forth between first person and third person so that would be a good idea to throw in there. Now that I'm done rambling, what planets do you guys think they need to go back to. I think they need to go back to Titania and Zoness.

Good point I think Assault was great And if in Star Fox Frontiers/Wii the dev took the time to make the graphics as good as they where in ssbb I would be very However lets not forget 1: a good story that isn't emo(Star Fox command) 2: More *BOOM!* when you kill or blow something up and 3: Ad Bill Grey in the story :/
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Now that I'm done rambling, what planets do you guys think they need to go back to. I think they need to go back to Titania and Zoness. I'd like another Zoness mission too, but I'd also like another Titania mission and another Macbeth mission. Maybe a return of the black hole from SNES Star Fox. Maybe they should have Cerinia in the story? Story wise I'd like to see something like an invading civilization that misinterprets Lylat and sees them as a threat, and their secret is they're the survivors of Cerinia, and they want to drive away the Cornerians to claim Corneria as the new Cerinia. Don't know where I got the idea, just thought it would be a good shot. You should've mentioned Cerinia much more often than just Adventures Nintendo!!
Guest RedPhoenix32
Or maybe it should be a trip to the past thing on Cerinia with Fox and Krystal. To find out why the planet was left in ruin and such and actually get some answers. Maybe there could be a secret kept from Krystal that she's the heir to the throne or something. Then, in the future, there could be some spirit that takes over her for the power, and Fox himself has to set things straight because he's the only guy to stop it. It's just one of those things where the past gives answers, but those answers werent ment for mortal eyes and results in your downfall once you realize it. Then either we have an Anakin Skywalker scenario or in this case, an entity takes over your body and gains control unless someone or youself saves you from that. I think we should "graze" Krystals past because some of us would not be very happy about playing a whole SF game about krystals past. me included It would just take away from the greatness that is STAR FOX ^ bill should be added in the next game

That's nice, but I was thinking more of something where Star Fox is greeted by a time traveler from Cerinia who went to the future to get help protecting Cerinia from Andross, and Krystal's mother and father turn out to be either monarchs or a royal priests. Braux
Well, all those seem like really good ideas, but it you looked into the past, you have noticed sometimes that Nintendo is a bit heasitant to make edgy ideas. (Save for Adventures, but that was mellow-ed down mainly because of the plotholes...) Trying anything that might sound like a Fanfic might make the casual gamers who know a little bit of the series more confused, would-nt it? Assault was almost like SF64, 'cept for the foot missions and enemys, ill add more when i get time... EDIT: I HAS MOAR TIEM! I really hope you could give orders to your teammates, like as seen in "Need for speed, Carbon." Where you get simple controls, For example, A: Select order, Shake right for "Attack; Offincive" Or Shake Left for "Defend; group." I also think that they should make more of those edgy turns, i mean, what are we going to do when our hero's get old and wrinkly? Also, I heard from my brother that Assassult was originally going to be called "Armada" It was going to have some Co-op play, and have 8 ships instead of four... but somewhere in the production, somethign when skrewy, and before you-knewy, their comptuers, generators, whatever is gone into making a game crashed, and so they had to start from stratch... I think that they need to make some of the improvements like in "Armada," or at least some like them...
Guest RedPhoenix32
Or they could be vocal commands. I already brought up the monarch idea arwingcommander. It's simple. Fox and Krystal go on a little archeology mission on Cerinia, of course its an investigation to see what happened. Then, they come across a small item that throws them about... Lets say, 20 years into the past, or when Krystal is an infant. It seems logical that way. They find themselves already blending in. Their clothes somehow already changed to match with society. Anyway, as they walk through, they see the monarchs who happen to be Krystals parents. Its a shock to her. Then, theres a man who wants to ruin it all, and either steal the throne or destroy the civilization. We all know where that goes. As soon as they are all destroyed, Fox and Krystal find themselves back in the present. To be contiued, dont have enought time to write the rest. DZComposer
I can't think of much more that would fracture the alrealy weak fanbase more than a game centered around Krystal. Nothing against her character, but I've seen enough to know this. Star Fox needs to seriously go back to it's roots if it is to recover from it's slump. I don't mean remake SF64, but it needs to be an extension of that kind of game. SFAs was almost the right formula, but it needed more Arwing missions. And better implementation. Star Fox needs it's "Mario Galaxy," if you will. That game seems to have redeemed the Mario franchise.

If Krystal gets her own game (highly unlikely), it would be counted as a spin-off, not a main entry. I think Nintendo would market it as such. Mario Galaxy redeemed the Mario franchise? You make it sound as if it was weak. Mario isn't Sonic, my friend.

ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Well maybe we need new gameplay styles for the series, like a couple of first-person-shooting missions where you play as Krystal. Krystal`s a good marksmen, right? Maybe play as Slippy for the Landmaster missions so those are the only missions where he won`t pi#$ us off asking for help. Guest RedPhoenix32
Or maybe one where someone actually shakes off the enemy. If a four year old can do it with a s*** manuver, why cant they? I mean, its not that hard to a split-S or an immalmen. (split-s, sharp turn, immalmen, loop)
Braux
OR how bout introducing a all range mode without the same axis? (I.E. Ace combat, and every other flying game there is.) that is not exactly how SF is susposto be, but adding more manuvers would be somewhat of a improvement? I have about a million ways to shake off my brother how constantly picks the Arwing missions, but not free'd axis... Also, definitally voice commands, sorta' like "Nextwar's Commands at the speed of thought" To give to your wingmen? (<NAME> Defend) (<NAME> Defensive) But if you yell "FALCO! EAT MY SHORTS" (Which i doubt wouldn't happen) They could play a soundclip such as: "This ain't no time for conversation!" Or somthing like that, im full of ideas that dont seem to fit anywere...
