Guest Julius Quasar
*SURPRISE TOPIC RE-RAIL*The next Star Fox Game should follow the traditional pattern of the Star Fox Game, I mean don't get me wrong, SF Adventures was pretty cool, but the Arwing battles/flights, felt "tacked on" unfortunately. rainfyre66
I would like to see some more interaction with your wingman than just the standard "save them from the bad guys" routine, like having them around would affect the mission in a good or bad way. Expand on that concept that they touched on in SF64, i.e., keep so and so alive and they'll show you an alternate route and change the direction of the game, or who can forget the annoyance of trying to get a medal in Sector Z, unless you kept your wingmen occupied with enemies, you had to race to get all the missiles and points before Katt or one of your boys blew it up and cost you points. (they also do this less notably at other points in the game). Or maybe help with a boss battle. SOMETHING!

Guest Para Astaroth
For 360, PS3, And Wii (And maybe the DS or PSP)Very unlikely for the 360, PS3, or PSP. Starfox is with Nintendo, and the other companies would have to go through h311 and back to take the franchise over.

sniper
Actually, I disagree. If it wasn't only on a nintendo system, it wouldn't be a real star fox (in my opinion)

SOMETHING!Freespace has a very good way of having wingmen you can order them to take out specific ships or parts of ships. something like that for starfox would be cool like Krystal take that fighter falco take that battle ship and slippy cover my rear. AlliedDan
phfft there more chance of Nintendo killing off Mario than them putting star fox on an xbox....No one knows what nintendos intentions are, for all we know microsoft already has the rights to make the next SF game.If that was the case, I would laugh because all of the nintendo fanboys would have to purchase an xbox 360 for some SF goodness. However fortunately or unfortunately, that's not going to happen. Hope(N Forever)
Anyone considered the possiblity that the next StarFox game would be an ultimate reboot of the series? It is very possible, considering how Command managed to root and split out the StarFox continuity into at least seven possible continuities based on the nine endings in the game! Perhaps Nintendo would ditch whatever continuity they might follow from Command, and rather redo the entire series from the very beginning, whilst retaining its original gameplay!Who's to say such a possiblity cannot exist? Besides, remember how StarFox 64, now considered an official remake, managed to destroy the canonity of the first game?

But it would be good if they remade Starfox Assault and made it LONGERRRRR!!!!^aw c`mon now the wii online not that bad i only know one laggy game and that dragonball tenkaichi3 the mario kart online was good so im sure it would work for starfox. You do know that the new DBZ game (DB: Raging Blast) Is like DBZ: BT3, but a little better, right? It would be really cool if we had a prequel to SF64; maybe we would finally learn the exact fate of James McCloud, all we're told from the SF64 prologue is that he was "captured" by Andross.Although it was just a rumor, on "http://www.infendo.com/2009/09/01/new-star-fox-game-is-in-the-works/", it was stated:"...the new installment in the series is [supposed] to be bringing a breath of fresh air to the series, and remain close to the [game's] roots."That would agree with a reboot. At any rate, I'll be happy for a new Star Fox game, reboot or not . GammaRay256
...Good point Yeah, a reboot from Assault would be good since there are some gaps in between SF64 and Adventures, and a small gap in between SFAd and SFAs.A reboot from Assault would be nice, and is probably the most logical since we're unsure whether or not Command is canon. It would really be a "breath of fresh air" if we got a prequel to 64 or a game that takes place in-between SF64 and Adventures. I remember when I was a kid, I always wondered what would happen right after SF64... (also, when I played the Venom levels, I wondered what the place looked like before Andross and what would happen to the place after we destroyed him).Only problem with a prequel or an adventure in-between two other games is that we would never know the fate of Fox and Krystal! (we'd still be left with Command's endings... scary). I think we'd all be disappointed and left with an empty feeling if this happened. If we had a game that takes place after Assault, it would confirm that Command is NOT canon. Therefore, I think it would be for the best if we had a post-Assault game; as much as I think some of the Command endings are suitable for sequels, I think it would be pretty complicated to explain them with games. All I want for Christmas is a new Star Fox game from Nintendo! Let's see, if Nintendo were to announce a new Star Fox game for this year's holiday season, when would they do it? Is it too late already? Or are we possibly looking at Thanksgiving? Best if it were between 64 and Adventures since there was, what, a seven year gap inbetween the storyline. The manga for Adventures took place a few hours, maybe a day, before the actual game. If it were a prequel to 64, that would mean be playing as the old Starfox team, and maybe when Fox enlisted in the Cornerian fleet. Either way, I don't consider Command canon AT ALL! Even though the executive producer of Q-Games states it is, I just won't hear of it.Assault DID show signs of canonency. Just showing that fleet at the end and Fox's comment just HAD to make you raise and eyebrow. I was like, "Errr... wahh??" to his comment when he said that.
