StarFoxIII
Kursed, stop PMSing on Andrew McCloud over a game and Andrew McCloud, plz stop arguing over what fan game is canon is canon and what isn't. No game is canon unless Nintendo explicitly states that it is so. End of story.
Andrew McCloud
I appreciate your attempt to settle a dispute but I don't think the moderators would approve of your method. This isn't a flame war (atleast I don't see it as such) I'm just engaged in a general discussion and trying to settle another dispute by clarifying some key terms and ideas. No one here is 'PMSing' and I'm certainly not qualifying anything as canon, read before you speak.
Kursed
*chuckle* I'm sorry, but I'm afraid 'more trailers' doesn't mean much of anything in regards to game development. Though I must say that I'm not as familiar with it- how long have they been working on it?One guy the creator has been working on it for about a year and a half nowhttp://dingonet.org/sfhq/index.php?showforum=
Andrew McCloud
Ah, I see. Well, though that's quite a long time, it seems he's quite limited, being only one person. I'm not familiar with what he wishes to accomplish though. I mean, he could produce a game any day now. The difference is that SoL has been in the works for nigh of 6 years, with a dedicated Dev -team-. And they still haven't come out with it yet. So, while he might come out with his game first, there would definitely be a difference in the quantity of the games, if not the quality. None of that is to mean of course that it will be any less than SoL, these are all just pieces of information that can be interpreted differently by everyone ^.^Hope I didn't give you the wrong impression in regards to either game, it certainly wasn't intentional. Asper Sarnoff
Ah, Kursed is just a little annoyed at SoL because it doesn't center around Krystal, or include her at all for that matter.

Andrew McCloud
So, what does everyone make of Miyamoto's recent comments regarding wishes for better SF sales and his joy of the series?/rerail
StarFoxIII
/rerailThank you, Andrew McCloud.Anyways, I take Miyamoto's statement to be a good sign that he's willing to make more Star Fox games. Even if they are'nt that popular in Japan as he stated, Shiggy still has America and what should matter is that he at least has us to believe in him. ThePointingMan
Heh, yeah I think shadows of lylat is more advertised/ known. To tell you the truth, this is the first time I've seen anything about paths of fate. whilst making this i post, i decided to watch some footage of paths of fate, too notes:Paths of fate, in my eyes looks funny(which isn't a bad thing at all) because the proportions are more human like, and because i thought Max payne was a wrestling game or something. Looks like great game, I like walking missions, and pilot missions, and if max payne is the game engine, it would probably be hard to make pilot missions anyway. Also, Miyamotos new found love for starfox, sounds like a good thing to me, I just hope it is not rushed, although never have I thought any of them where rushed, but if they where, when one is not rushed, I picture it to be twice as fun!! Andrew McCloud
I don't think it's so much a 'new-found' love as it is a desire that past games had better sales (I'm sure Adventures through Command in particular) in Japan. Of course, Americans and those of British decent have had no problems with the different direction that the series has taken (at least in a very generalized fashion) and will likely continue to buy anything that comes out. Maybe if more of the western world were to follow Japan's example, Miyamoto would have no choice but to rethink the directions he's taken one of his most favored games and produce something that will actually sell across the board as SF SNES and SF 64 did?Time will tell. Guest Julius Quasar
It would be cool if Star Fox had the type of music score and game play synonymous with that of Ace Combat [5], IMO.

North_Star1980
I have an idea, but I don't know if this was mention before, but I have been playing SkyGunner on the PS2, great game that nobody seems to know about. I not going to get into the story line of the game, but in the game you get play as three different pilots, who give you three different points of view of the game, the story is the same, but you get to do things different. Why they don't they put that is the new Star Fox.
