Maybe I did screw up with that Mario Galaxy thing. Bad analogy. :P

This is not a discussion about mario.

And, that post was not about Mario. That was an analogy, albeit a poor one.

WE ALL GET IT! And i think that means everyone...

But, what about touching up on the idea of TEH INTARNET PLAYZ?

Has anyone said anything about that yet? I think that animal crossing has voice, well, stuff. But my only consern is of people *COUGH* my brother *COUGH* who use profanity while playing. Do you think it should use what brawl does? Use pre-set taunts/phrases?

No, Microsoft has already ruined Banjo-Kazooie, so let's not let them ruin another franchise we know and love.

Anyone besides me in favor of an upgraded version of the Nova Bomb?

Microsoft didn't make Banjo-Kazooie, it was Rare.

All of the good people left Rare, which is one of the reasons why Nintendo sold it. SFAd was really the last decent thing Rare ever put out.

Very few of the games (or anything else, for that matter) developed within Microsoft are worth anything. Pretty much all of the hits on Xbox and Xbox360, Halo franchise included, are 2nd and 3rd party titles.

Microsoft got where it is by sleazy business practices, copying others, and buying out others' work or companies. Microsoft is not an innovative company by any stretch of the imagination.

Voice chat is possible with SFWii, considering that we now have WiiSpeak. I've personally never liked voice chat in games. Hearing 13 year olds saying "F- You" and "You cheat" gets old fast.

Really, the best way to get SF awesome again is Nintendo needs to find the series a permanent home instead of letting a different developer make each game. That has proven to be a disaster for the series.

Yes, but that once again leads back to the back to the big question, who should become the permanent developer?

Why not get Nintendo EAD to do it? We all love them for Star Fox 64.

Anyone besides me in favor of the Nova Bomb being upgraded? Maybe a cluster ability or a Nova Missile?

What about two kinds of bombs, like they had in Assault? There was the regular Nova Bomb and the 'Cluster Bomb' I think it was called, and those dropped straight down.

It'd be fun to be able to control the Great Fox, and shoot those big plasma cannons on the front of it. =D Imagine tearing through Area 6 in that... And I'd like to have the Blue Marine come back too.

Yeah, the Great Fox idea would be cool to do, I personally would like to see the on-rails Landmaster levels to return, those were my favorites in 64.

Retro Studios

That would be interesting. Even more so since I live in the Austin area. Though to get over there I have to go through the downtown area on I35 which sucks because people are too stupid to get in the correct lane before their exit. But it isn't as bad as Dallas or Houston (OH MY GOD Houston driving sucks, not only due to the congestion but Houston drivers are assholes)

What? Who said anything about that, don't judge a member by his posts.

I had the idea of overprotective mothers on my mind, Oh shure, i play'ed a little Xbox live at my friends, but one main thing is that i'm tired as hell as to hearing people yelling at each other online, and giving everyone else crap about a "Bad kill." Its a rotton brat that could ruit it, i agree, but like this post, arguing on the internet, (both voice chat-posts-chat) Is like two walls yelling at each other, both ignorant and sticking with what they want.

BUT what i would like to see is some creativity and time put into the game, and i agree, surprisingly, with you:

I'd probably work for Cartoon Network.

Anyway, if Retro studios has done as good a job as you guys say they have, then I agree, they should give Retro Studios the development rights for the series.

Retro did an awesome job with the Metroid Prime trilogy. They had another game, Raven Blade, that was showing potential, but was canned before Prime 1 was finished so the company could focus on it.

They had a rocky start, though. Retro almost went under, and probably would have if Prime had floundered.

I think Retro has what it takes. Especially with the weapon and multiplayer ideas they have. They could bring Star Fox back to the glory days and make on-foot one of the best things ever in the game. Just below air combat as it should be placed.

There lies the risk, Retro hasn't done an air combat game yet, just a first person adventure. I'm sure the ground combat would be amazing, but the air combat would be the risky part. Seeing how talented they were on their first venture, however, I think they would do an excellent job.

It would suck if we took all this time praising Retro Studios, and the game was handed to a different developer.

They hadn't done ANYTHING before they did Metroid Prime, and ended up with Game of the Year. That is the sign of a great game company. Portal, last year's game of the year, came from when Valve hired an entire game team from Digipen after they showed off their Portal-like Nabacular Drop.

Another good thing about Retro Studios doing the series is the story could turn darker, more engaging, and better character development.
