TurboJ Posted December 25, 2008 Share Posted December 25, 2008 Well, let's think about it. What has Fox done for Krystal? And what has Panther done? Think back to Adventures. Fox tells Krystal "If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be standing here at all!" He then accepts her into Star Fox and trains her. So what has Panther done for her? Given her loads of cheesy compliments and catches her on the rebound in SF Command. That's one reason I hate Krystal's personality in Command (but to me that game never happened. NEVER). In Command she completely ignores the fact that without Fox she would be dead, and (depending on the path you take) she goes off with Panther. Way to show gratitude . Yes, Fox's decision may not have been well thought out, but we all know he meant well. And yes, Krystal didn't see things how Fox did, but we know they do care for each other. X = Definitely. Mads_7 Posted December 25, 2008 Share Posted December 25, 2008 TurboJ, you got my vote! Also in Starfox Adventures, there are several hints with all this fate and destiny-stuff. I don't think whoever created Krystal's character had something like sleazy panther in mind for her. Also you're right about Starfox Command. Just as everything were as it was supposed to be (imo) the story writers.. changed everything and says something about 'Back to the roots'. In my opinion, the story writers did a very bad job with Starfox Command. They didn't even make an ending! >.< Anyway, back on topic I also think that she should stay with the one and only Star Fox! So I like to ignore it, but the multiple endings give out some good ideas for fan-fiction writers, I'll give it that. Back on topic, Fox and Krystal, all the way. In Command, he kept drooling all over her, and she kept pushing him away. (As an example: I can't remember exactly what story line this was on, but Panther was telling her to be careful or something to that effect, and she responded 'Um... Yeah, sure, whatever' or something like that) I think the reason she ended up joining Star Wolf is because she didn't know where else to go, and not because she wanted to be 'with' Panther. It's kind of like, you get rejected by a group of friends, so you go to find another group of people to hang out with, even though you may not like them as much, but you still feel accepted. Here are my two cents that I've mentioned a few times on the Archive itself: Let 'em both stay single. That way, they won't have kids, which means that they'll remain as forefront characters, never taking a backseat to a newer generation. That's the short version that doesn't include any backup or specific evidence. Anyway, I still think Krystal's cooler on Team StarFox than Team StarWolf, but that's because of nostalgia reasons: We just KNOW StarFox and its members better, so she has a better shot at actually getting some character development if she remains on the team that gets the most focus. It wouldn't solve the PR problem such a scenario would create for Nintendo. I agree with Samantha. Fox and Krystal should remain single. I have a disdain for predictable love stories in films, and the Fox+Krystal scenario is just that. The Krystal+Panther scenario is a little more unconventional and therefore more interesting, but I would hate to see her leave team Star Fox and be resigned to the role of an ancillary antagonist. With Fox: For: 1) They were made for each other (literally). 2) As TurboJ stated earlier, look at what Fox has done for her. Against: 1) ... With Panther: For: 1) ... (Maybe my position on this issue is restricting my thoughts?) Against: 1) Panther's character was brought in to be the failing ladies man. 2) He would turn third-person. 3) He would never shut up about it. 4) As stated by a few people, she does not really like Panther that much. 5) She is doomed to become Kursed. With the exception of parts of SFC, she is never shown to be seriously with Fox. Though, I do prefer her being with Fox. I just don't think being with Star Wolf fits her character all that well. She's a clever girl, and would know that guys like Panther Caroso want only one thing when it comes to women... there's a difference between Love, and Lust... Panther lusts for her, he doesn't care about her... these lothario, "player" type of guys...are VERY selfish... Fox loves her. He sent her off the team because he feared for her safety. If he didn't love her, her wouldn't do something like that...when you love someone, and don't want them to be hurt...sometimes you push them away, let them go...it's painful, and hard, but you do it because you only have their best interests at heart. (Although I personally think he should have let her stay!) I think Krystal's too mature and kind to date Panther "to spite/hurt Fox" or "To make Fox jealous". That's beneath a kind heart-ed girl like her It's only right she's with Fox...Panther would never risk his life for her. Fox would follow her to the edge of the universe to save her, even give up his own life to save hers.
