Guest DRL
Um... yeah. If you dislike babyfurs, then don't bother looking. I seriously hate the one I did a few years back, btw, what with the big head syndrome and all; let's hope I don't hate this 2 years into the future. >.>;Awwwwww!

rhyfe2002
Well, for those who haven't guessed it yet, I'm using the Gadonstriom ripped SFA model posted on KA and rigging it, since no one seems to be interested =/ The problem is, I really, REALLY suck at rigging, and even with the help of TSM2 (A program which does nearly 90% of the work for you) I'm running into a whole lot of problems, from the mesh and texture itself, to my sloppy attempts at programming in new stuff for the hair and clothing. My latest test render with subdivision nodes (smoothens out polygons) and remade "fake" eyeballs. Short of remodeling and retexturing the entire thing, it's actually very limited. *sigh* If someone wants to take over please let me know XD

Fire Yoshi
despite the revealing clothing I wouldn't mind having that model in Garrsysmod nice work there. Why don't you download it then? It's on the KA....or can't you upload your own stuff to GMod?
Scott7
Why don't you download it then? It's on the KA....or can't you upload your own stuff to GMod?The model on that site isn't originally created to be in Gmod, It takes alot of work to make a Mesh into a Ragdoll compatable for use in Source games, Which Is something I'm still trying to figure out how to do myself. rhyfe2002
Finally, the SFA Krystal rig is (sort of) finished! Sadly, due to the constraints of the model I don't think I'll be progressing much beyond this point. Maybe if someone manages to rip that in-game cutscene model instead... Maybe if someone manages to rip that in-game cutscene model instead...I already told you, they're both the same. The only reason she looks better in cutscenes is because it's scripted, therefor the fur effects and stuff like that can be shown in a clearer fashion. It's all about how much processing the game uses on different parts of the game.
rhyfe2002
I already told you, they're both the same. The only reason she looks better in cutscenes is because it's scripted, therefor the fur effects and stuff like that can be shown in a clearer fashion. It's all about how much processing the game uses on different parts of the game.To my (admittedly limited) knowledge, given the current model, it is nearly impossible for the eyes to move. I've looked at everything I can think of: blendshapes, joints, animated textures, etc. Even my current temporary solution, an animated image plane for the pupils, doesn't work perfectly; it hovers a little bit above the actual model, and clips into it if I rotate it around. If someone knows what has to be done, please let me know ASAP so that I can implement it. ^^;

rhyfe2002
Not much progress on the rig, since I've been busy nowadays with schoolwork, but here's some more pose practice: You can see that I have a lot of difficulty on her loincloth; trying to make it deform realistically without stretching as it does in the picture is a hair-pulling experience. =/ So far, the hardest poses to do are those where she's not standing up; that's when all the errors are made very, very obvious.
